It was a very nice relaxing time. Perfect for taking walks and enjoying a peaceful atmosphere.

3 nights at Levin's Waterfront @ Blackwater

This was a beautiful and peaceful spot close to everything we wanted to do. Enjoyed the sunset over the water, rode the bike circuit from their front gate, kayaked and saw a ton of wildlife. Good supply of dry wood for fires and a lovely outhouse. Would definitely come back.

Weekend Trip to 32 Main St

It was easy to get to and park our 27' trailer. Mia and her husband were very helpful and gracious during our visit. It was a good starting point to see the attractions in the area like New Castle and Lewes Deleware. I would recommend this spot to any weary travelers. If we ever make our way Delaware again would choose 32 Main again.

Weekend Trip to Alpaca Farm

Phil and his lovely wife were very welcoming. It's a really quiet place and the alpacas are so friendly, Val the lama is so curious and smart. We've learned a lot and you can feel that Phil is passionate by his alpagas. I've bought some very nice things in their shop.

Randy is the best! Accommodated my last second booking and the spot was gorgeous. Close enough to civilization where the travel is easy but secluded and quiet. Arrived close to dusk and Randy had generously prepared the fire pit which was so appreciated! Great location, beautiful land and cool stuff to do nearby

It was great camping in the pasture. The sheep dogs are very friendly and well behaved. They really do snuggle up and love a good game of fetch. The alpaca, donkey, horse, and sheep are friendly too and great for entertaining kids. We will definitely return.

1 night at Bald Eagle Farm on the Patuxent

What I liked - it was far enough from the other campers that I felt like it i was our place. there were ample trees for hammocks. it was peaceful and serene. It was a really quaint, restorative place to spend a night. My hubby wished the kayak access was a little better and that we had planned sound thentides better - but the tides are what they are (and if you don't adhere to them, you may be on the mud, waiting for the water to come in). It was a spur of the moment trip, but we would definitely go again. And the last hi-lite, we got to spend the morning watching a snapping turtle laying eggs - so freaking cool! And, I may have seen DelMarVa squirrel too - not confirmed - but I did see a *huge* squirrel!

Beautiful location! Great for fishing and kayaking. The campsites are well maintained and clean. Don’t miss the general store for fantastic food.

Weekend Trip to Sunset Pointe

Nice Hipcamp that is convenient to the Blackwater Refuge and Harriett Tubman museum and other attractions. Great little general store at the front with everything you need and a cute little cafe’. This Hipcamp has multiple camp spots that are tight against each other so if you’re looking for something with more privacy this isn’t it. Overall, great Hipcamp!!

Weekend Trip to Sunset Pointe

Really appreciate the hospitality of Leon and fam on Hoopers Island. We forgot an important item for our camper and the hosts were incredibly helpful. Very close the Blackwater Wildlife Refuge and the magic of the Chesapeake.

4 nights at Comus Sky Farm

Juanita has a beautiful property. We boon docked in one of the horse pastures and felt like we had the place to ourselves, even on a busy Memorial Day weekend. Juanita communicates well answering all questions quickly. The check-in process could be a little smoother as it was a bit confusing knowing where to camp and where water or electrical hook-ups were located. I am positive Juanita will continue to improve the property and the process.

Weekend Trip to Comus Sky Farm

We had a wonderful experience at Comus Sky Farm. There was plenty of space, the setting was lovely, and the camp hosts (Katy and her partner) were very welcoming. Juanita was chill too : ). The trails for biking and hiking were great. If we come back to this area, we would definitely stay here again!

Weekend Trip to Alpaca Farm

Phil and his family were so kind and welcoming and the alpaca tour is 100% worth it, feeding the alpacas was the highlight of the stay and we learned so much! Property was beautiful and porta potty was pristine, lovely grounds to pitch a tent and enjoy a night outside!

Every year in the spring there are 4-6 Thoroughbred foals born that eventually will become racehorses. They live on the farm until they are 2 years old and then they go off to begin their racing career. In the daytime, when you are not sitting around your campfire, you can walk the fence lines and visit with the Mares and Foals or just watch them frolic in the fields. Hint! Around the corner there's two other choices both with firepits which will accommodate units up to 40 feet depending on your backing/maneuvering skills. Field of Dreams and Sycamore Ridge will accommodate campers under 25 feet with some backing/maneuvering skills. For those with 4WD and an off-road camper/trailer/tent choose Off the Grid, two entrances for easy access, travel along a logging road to an open site with fire pit. Suitable during dry conditions and not responsible for damage to vehicle or camper. Great spot for those who truly want to be in the woods off the beaten path, site takes about 5 minutes to reach due to low-speed access.
