It was so peaceful! Even having other campers, it still felt private because of the space between us. Loved having the river right next to camp. The weather was rainy and too cool to enjoy doing river activities so we took the opportunity to just relax. Don’t forget to bring firewood…but if you do, going into town is not that far to pick up any needed items. Would definitely stay there again!

Trevor is a great host. He is easy to communicate with and made sure we were comfortable. His property is beautifully maintained and is right on the Shenandoah River. I recommend staying here and wandering over to the nearby winery for some delicious Virginia wine.

We had a wonderful weekend tent camping at Trevor's farm! We stayed at the river one campsite and it was delightful. The river access is perfect for toddlers - shallow for a while with fast moving clear water, shells, rocks and little fish to look at. Our dog enjoyed splashing and trying to float away in the river. Plenty of shade around, including down at the river, and easy preexisting fire set up. The bathroom set up is fine, although we might bring a camp toilet next time because the set up is a little cramped for wrangling kids. The river and land is really well cared for, and we saw lots of cardinals, butterflies, fireflies, and a couple deer. On Saturday night We could hear some music maybe from the winery but it wasn't at a level that would disturb. We will be back here any time we want to camp no question. 10 stars

Great spot! Loved the river access. We put our boats in a few miles upstream thanks to the host’s recommendation and floated back down to camp. Had a great day on the river. The spots are spread out enough to be nice and secluded if that’s what’s you’re looking for. Would definitely come back. Firewood is foraged so bring your own if you want a big fire or don’t want to look too hard.

Lovely view of the mountains and great access to river tubing and fishing. There’s a vineyard and beautiful state park with trails and a playground within walking distance. Quiet and secluded! We really enjoyed meeting Trevor.

We had such a wonderful time at the farm. Trevor is a terrific host and readily available if you have any questions or concerns. Muse vineyard is a short walk from the campsite and is dog friendly. River access is very close to the campsite and easily accessible. Town is close (5 min drive) if you need to restock any supplies. Finding the farm can be a little tricky as navigation doesn’t always find the correct (apple map had wrong location but Google Maps had the correct location), but Trevor made sure he was available to make sure we arrived safely without any issues.
We camped with our Labrador Retriever, Enzo. He had a great time in the river and relaxing at the campsite. I highly recommend staying at the farm and we will be back again soon.

We only stopped at the Farm on our travels south. It was a last minute booking that got accepted, but communication was a bit difficult about finding the property. Owner was responsive once communication issues were fixed, but it was a bit nerve wracking to make sure we were on the correct land. Understanding our circumstances of coming in late made it challenging, but there could be better signage indicating both the location itself, as well as the individual sites on the property. The driveway was long and narrow and put you back in the woods. The property was secluded, but there are multiple sites on it. Beautiful river frontage makes us want to come back in the summer to enjoy the waterfront. Nice and quiet and a short drive off 81 - which is super helpful if you're just looking for a stop.

Best campsite I’ve ever been to! Such a beautiful location out off the beaten path, the site is right by the stream so it helped us get to sleep listing to the sound of running water. The host is amazing and very helpful. There is a winery right down the road with a small walking bridge which was an awesome experience! The site was secluded and perfect!

This was by far our favorite camp site! With Hipcamp! The owner was awesome and super friendly. Just everything about this stay was top notch. We listened to the stream while we were going to bed, we had a campfire and enjoyed the bridge by the camp site. Such an amazing experience!

Green grass, wide open field leading to a tree line and lovely blue bell flowers marking the fifty foot long path to the river. Easy entry to the water, fun current, beautifully wide and shallow river with views of the distant mountains. Crystal clear water! Very attentive and responsive host. Loved our time here.

Nice campsite only a few minutes out of town. There’s a nice winery/ vineyard just across the river. If you go in late March/ early April you’ll get to see all the bluebells along the river! Trevor was helpful and made sure I was comfortable.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights and absolutely loved it! The campsite is beautiful — right by the river with peaceful sounds of the water and plenty of space to relax. It truly feels like a getaway in nature.
It’s also very dog-friendly! We brought our 5 pups, and they were in heaven exploring and playing by the water. It’s the perfect spot if you want your dogs to enjoy the adventure too.
The setup is definitely more on the “true camping” side, which we actually loved. The bathroom is a simple tent with a bucket system, and the shower uses propane to heat the water. It works well, but I recommend bringing shower shoes and being ready to rough it just a bit.
Trevor, our host, was super nice and helpful — he made sure we had everything we needed and checked in to make sure our stay was going smoothly.
If you’re looking for a peaceful, scenic escape where you can unplug, relax, and enjoy nature (and bring your pups along!), this place is amazing. We’d absolutely come back!

It was a beautiful campsite and the grounds were open with space between all sites which was nice. The river was so beautiful to wade into! There were bugs (duh, you’re camping next to water!). Trevor was super friendly and helpful and answered any questions quickly. The shower was a good touch (definitely roughing it but again, you’re camping!). River 3 had a fire pit set up and ready to go with some chairs. All in all, very happy with the stay

The river passing by Trevor’s property was an amazing experience, so peaceful. The property is certainly loved - and it shows. Beautifully maintained sites with plenty of room to stretch out. Close to main road but in the middle of nowhere! Inviting chairs and fire pit, with cooking area, greeted me at River One. Trevor was the best Host, so welcoming and made me feel very comfortable. Couldn’t ask for a better experience. Will definitely stay again at The Farm!

nothing can possibly capture the joy of a husband observing his stressed out wife in peace. "I'm so relaxed" is a rare treat for city folk and I fell in love with the north fork. when we got home, my wife was looking for property.
The campsite is steps from the river. my wife and daughter relaxed in inflatable tubes that I tied to a tree.
I used my waiters and caught a 13 inch largemouth and 2 panfish I didn’t recognize.
couldn’t recommend this place more. I loved it and I can’t wait to go back.

We had an awesome night of tent/ hammock camping here with our toddler and baby. Trevor was very kind and accommodating of our last min plans. Beautiful spacious site and easy river access. Definitely recommend taking his advice and call when you’re close instead of relying on GPS. Would love to camp here again!

This is a wonderful place, and Trevor is an excellent host.
The Farm is very quiet and gives direct access to the river. The area is perfectly maintained and clean.
The hot shower is an absolute plus, especially when temperatures are high and after a long hike.
Trevor is the perfect host: welcomed us when we arrived, explained everything and remained very discrete during our stay.
The Farm is highly recommended- we wish Trevor all the best developing the business!

We had an amazing weekend trip to Trevor’s place and highly recommend it! It is truly a hidden gem. We originally booked site 3 but as we were the only party there, ended up setting up camp at site 1. Playing in the river was the highlight of our visit- our dog and kids had a blast wading, and we watched fly fisherman catching fish. We went to Muse Vineyard across the river for wine flights and food- a must visit! Nearby Seven Turns State Park had an awesome park for the kids. The farm is very convenient to town for making a quick run for supplies or restaurants. Trevor was a friendly and helpful host. The property was well maintained and a pleasure to spend time at, and we really appreciated being able to let our dog roam off leash. We will definitely be back to explore nearby MTB trails and swim again!

Trevor was super nice and helpful. The space was great. The kids loved to tube up and down the super clean and clear river. Bring a truck so you can tote the tubes. We travelled with a group of 25+ and there was plenty of space. We played a mini-baseball game, went hiking, etc. We'll definitely be back.
