We had an awesome week camping on the farm the hosts were great the kids loved playing in the water the cow's came to visit the outhouse was clean our dogs were able to run free and we would definitely recommend camping here

Beaver Dam site

First let me say that our hosts Amber and Larry went above an beyond to help make pur trip amazing. They are really great. The property is rather expansive, and although it rained most of our trip, we were able to explore a little, see the waterfall site near the bever dam site, and use the beautiful pond on the property to do some swimming. The highlight for my kids was the water trampoline and seeing some of the farm animals. The beaver dam site is very private, possibly the most private due to how set back it is. There was ample space and multiple tables around the site. Im sure during good weather nighttime stargazing is amazing there. We will definitely make a return trip!

Overlook Cabin

We loved glamping here! The site and the outhouse were clean! Amber checked on us twice. They had milk and cheese for sale, unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, we had to rush out the last morni g and did not get to purchase any! The water was blue and refreshing! The kids had an absolute blast in the water, even with the storms rolling through occasionally

If you are debating booking this site, do it. We just spent two days at the waterfront cabin and this has been the most memorable trip. My son and I hail from Chicago and decided to make a detour to this spot on the way to see family in Baltimore. We had such an incredible time on the water and experiencing the beauty of this family’s farm. They were so helpful and accommodating, even lending us fans because we forgot ours at home. I got to spend a lot of time talking to Amber’s husband about their farm and their garden, and they even sent us home with some fresh veggies. Don’t skip out on the farm stand - we bought a lot of creams that Amber made as well as fresh milk and eggs. Waking up to cows at our window was a bonus. Thank you again for a trip my son will never forget!!

Perfect first camp trip!

Amber and her family were so welcoming!! As first time campers they were so accommodating and helpful. They would come in to check on us and the friendly cows would double check just to make sure we were okay. The water was so blue and the fellow campers were very friendly. We got to know everyone around our site! I’ll definitely be back to share to experience with others.

Amazing!

We had an amazing time staying in the lakeside cabin. As others have mentioned, this is the perfect place to unplug and spend some restorative time with nature. The lake was clean and so blue. Our 7 and 12 year old boys loved the floating trampoline and the herd of cows that paid us a visit. We bought fresh eggs, cheese, and milk from the farm. The owners are amazing and very hospitable. Our family will be back for sure!

Gorgeous spot on a working farm

The Waterfront Cabin was the perfect place to camp! Gorgeous view and easy access to a clear blue lake. The cabin was stocked with clean linens, towels, lots of pillows, and other thoughtful items like solar lights, tiki torches, a pop tent that we placed over the picnic table, cornhole boards, cooking equipment, a propane grill, fire pit, and tubes for use in the lake. We loved walking the grounds to see the beauty hidden within this working farm and loved waking up to the cows munching outside the cabin and letting us pet them! Looking forward to returning again!

Already planning my return trip

This is one of my top 3 Hipcamp stays, ever. A true break surrounded by nature. And the aquamarine natural spring-fed lake!!! The only time I’ve been near water THAT clean, clear- was at Glacier National Park. This place is a treasure. I am already planning my return. Thank you!!!

I loved this camping experience! The camp sites felt surprisingly quiet/private and the water was wonderful to swim in. We got to see cows, goats, chickens -- what a treat! We bought firewood and farm fresh eggs (!) from Amber, who was very helpful, kind, and communicative. I would definitely recommend and hope to come back soon!

We loved tent camping near the waterfall. It’s a great set up for families. My two boys swam in the creek and played in the woods with us and the tent site is right there. We set up chairs and cooked while they enjoyed themselves, found lots of frogs, built fairy houses, and splashed in the water. It’s a half hour from multiple waterfalls include blackwater falls and hour drive from Seneca rock. We loved swimming in the blue lake. It’s been our favorite camp site so far and we’ve been camping for 15 years up and down the east cast. Will definitely be back!

Beaver Dam site

Amber’s farm is truly restorative. Our site Beaver Dam was completely private. The field was full of wild flowers. The lake was extraordinary. I have never seen such a blue lake in my life. It was so relaxing laying on the large raft that was tethered to the dock. As I said a very peaceful and restorative place!

Perfect private spot next to creek

Awesome spot for camping! We tent camped at the Waterfall site. So private, beautiful, perfect noise of the creek and mini-falls. Take note it’s a steep dirt path down the hill from your car to the site, so be nimble! Quick less than one minute walk to very clean port-a-potty. Two minute walk to the swimming hole which has several floats and is great to jump in on a hot day! Back to our tent site— We woke up to cows grazing right next to our tent… I mean RIGHT next to! They walked through our site in the morning to get to the green grass in the woods. Got our city-hearted adrenaline going, that’s for sure. We also walked through the other sites: wooded site #1 looked amazing too. Nice private spot with shade and a hammock. I’d camp here again!

Our stay at Bear Run Farms through Hipcamp was truly special. Even though it rained for most of our trip, the beauty of the land still shined through in such a peaceful, grounding way. There was something incredibly calming about listening to the rain while being surrounded by nature—it made the experience feel even more intimate and memorable. The hosts were exceptionally kind and accommodating, going out of their way to make sure we were comfortable despite the weather. Their warmth and care really made a difference and added to the overall experience. Bear Run Farms is a place that feels genuine, welcoming, and full of quiet beauty. Rain or shine, it’s absolutely worth the visit, and we’re already looking forward to coming back.

Beautiful place. Wooded sites are awesome and far apart. There were some hounds dogs barking through the night and a little road noise. If you could get by that then great place. Bring your own food and water. The AC General store has great sandwiches and and desserts!
