Cabin Camping at Carp Cove Farm
Lovely set up
Our whole family (two parents, two kids, and a dog) loved staying here.. The cabin hits the perfect balance of convenience, comfort, and quaintness. One of our kids is really into fishing and made great use of the river, both behind the cabin and down the trail. Clarabelle the donkey and the cows were also big hits.

I had a wonderful time camping here for a couple days to just get away from it all. There was a magical path along the river to walk on the property, that made me not want to leave!! The owner was very accommodating and brought me some fire wood:)

Wonderful location to camp! Great for our kids who enjoyed walking around seeing the farm animals - sheep, horses, cows and even a friendly donkey. This would be a great location for a newbie camper -- nice bathroom, hot water and easy to get to.

I believe this was my fifth visit to CARP Cove and it was a pleasure, as always. The site is situated on a beautiful stretch of riverfront land, and is very easy to get to. It's a great place to get away to for a weekend of relaxation, campfires, fishing and fun. Thanks again, Ralph, for your hospitality! We'll see you next season!

Comfy, cozy cabin by a creek
The cabin was comfortable and cozy and we very much appreciated that Ralph set up wood for a fire. We enjoyed a nice early morning by the creek with a warm fire, tea in hand. A memorable stay!

The cabin on Ralph’s land was a nice getaway. It is exactly how described. The outdoor shower was a plus. We loved getting to see the different animals as well. Definitely recommend!

Tent Camping on the River
The best time!
We had the best time camping on Ralph’s farm! We were right next to the water, where we could wade in and look for crawfish. A 10 min walk on a beautiful mowed path led us to a swimming hole, deep enough that the water was over our heads!
Ralph has a wonderful setup for campers. Plenty of privacy, but close to a very clean bathroom and running water. We’ll definitely be back!

Awesome as always. Ralph is the best and was the easy and obvious choice for where to take my 8 month old camping for the first time. We enjoyed the farm animals and river. Can’t wait for next time.

River Farm RV camping
Hidden gem in Augusta WV
Beautiful farm with trails to explore (which our dog loved) and a river to swim or skip rocks or both!
Spent a couple days there on our way to Florida. Our host Ralph, was friendly and informative. He met us approximately quarter to a half a mile from the campsite. Once there made sure we were settled. Had full hook ups which worked fine. There was no Wi-Fi or TV. Cellular service is spotty so for a couple of days outside of taking pictures we put our phones away. Ralph supplied us with fresh eggs (comes with the rental) as well as a bottle of his own harvested honey (a pleasant surprise). We are fortunate to have clear skies and no ambient light so, stargazing was spectacular!
Would highly recommend this Hipcamp spot and definitely would consider returning.

Awesome campsite 🏕
Well, this was our second time going for my granddaughter’s birthday and as you can probably guess, WE ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT HERE! Ralph is definitely the best and most accommodating host ever. The cabin is very cozy and rustic and well equipped. We didn’t get to use the kayaks Ralph brought down for us because the water out the front door was low, however he made sure to let us know the swimming hole was a little walk down the path and we found it to be very nice. We brought our pups and like the the last time, mine absolutely loved it! We also pitched a tent for the first time and slept outside overnight which my granddaughter loved. So, for anyone looking for a cozy, fun place to stay with all the amenities, this is the place! Thank you again Ralph for making our stay very enjoyable.

Perfect mix of nature & convenience
I can’t say enough good things about Ralph’s land. This was our third time and we hope to return. His place is the perfect mix of quiet nature by the stream mixed with creature comforts of clean modern plumbing! Ralph and his family are very kind and accommodating. Our group of adults and tweens/teens had a great time playing in the water, walking on the groomed paths, spotting animals (cows, frogs, rabbits, etc) and enjoying the campfire. It’s just over 2 hours from D.C. but feels like a world away.

My family loved camping at Ralph's! He was so helpful and made us feel welcomed. He took us on a tour and our boys were able to go feed the animals with him. We caught so many fish and the boys enjoyed tubing and swimming.

Cabin Camping at Carp Cove Farm
Ralph has a beautiful and serene property that's a perfect escape for anyone who needs some time to disconnect and enjoy the simpler things in life. There's plenty of wildlife and nature to explore and enjoy. All the locals we met during out visit were also a delight to talk to and learn from. Some good fishing to be done too. Definitely one of our favorite places to camp we've found and we look forward to more potential future visits!

RV, dog, chill camp.
We had a great time at camp. The farm is huge with plenty of space between everyone. We took our travel trailer and got full hookups easily. Ralph is a great guy and checks in just to make sure you have what you need, but not intrusive at all. The swimming hole down the path is awesome for swimming, fishing, and lounging in the shade and cool water. The pup loved to meet the cows and was a super clean camp. Again, beautiful area and awesome people. Highly recommend and we will be sure to be back soon.

River Farm RV camping
We enjoyed our stay at River Farm RV camping. Ralph met us on the access road and showed us where the hookups were situated. The RV site overlooks the farm and fields with cows and sheep. It was quiet and very nice. There are several sites but nicely spread out. We will return if we come back in this area.

Clean and well maintained
Such a wonderful gem hidden away in West Virginia. I stayed in my converted van with two dogs and a cat. We were greeted by Ralph at the entrance to the property and shown our gorge location. A level spot on the river with a fire pit, park bench, trash can, and a herd of curious cows. The site was clean, mowed, and there’s a shower a short walk away with a flushing toilet. I can’t say enough good things about the site or the host. We even were able to purchase firewood and delicious fresh eggs. There’s also decent cell service, enough to connect and check messages. All in all a wonderful stay!

Absolutely loved camping here with Ralph! He is absolutely amazing and will go above and beyond to ensure that you enjoy your experience. We camped at site #1 and had a wonderful time. It was spacious, quiet, and secluded. We didn’t get a chance to check out the swimming hole but we did get in the river right in front of our campsite. There was running water right beside our campsite, along with a portable toilet. We added wood and eggs to our stay and I would highly recommend it. The eggs were delicious and the wood was already prepared and stacked beside the fire pit for us to use. It stormed and rained during our stay, yet Ralph and his team made it enjoyable by being easily accessible to help assist us (a group of all women) and ensuring that we were ok and didn’t need any help during the storm. I would highly, highly recommend staying here with Ralph, you won’t regret it!

Mr Ralph’s property is amazing. Just what we were looking for. The cabin is darling and provided everything we needed. The outdoor shower was one of my favorite things. Kids caught fish right from the yard. The swimming pole was a hit, after swinging on the ropes we floated back down to the cabin. We will be returning. Thank you so much for the relaxing family time!!

Great experience!
Great spot! Cabin had the basics and was a huge upgrade from tent camping. There was hot water in the indoor and outdoor showers plus a window A/C unit. Water was potable but had a slight sulfur smell if that bothers you bring bottled water. Large yard, farm animals in walking distance to say hi to, fire pit and the river was calm and perfect for floating. There is a swimming hole with rope swing about a fifteen minute walk away. The host was really nice and accessible by text but not in your business. There are other camping sites on the property but not many and the site is pretty private. I have T-Mobile and my service was spotty but in most places I had one bar, was able to send texts and stream music. Would recommend and will be coming back! Pictures and description were accurate but our experience far surpassed expectations. Thank you for such a great spot! My kids (even the teenager) had a great time.

This was our third year back with Ralph and, as always, it was fabulous! Ralph and his family are so friendly and welcoming, it was like coming home. Fishing was great, view spectacular, and my dog was in heaven with all the space and easy access to the water. Other campers are nearby, but the camping spaces are soooo large and spaced apart they are private and peaceful. Thanks again to Ralph and his family for another wonderful trip and we will see you next year!

Ralph met us at the entrance to his land. It was a beautiful campsite that was bathroom and sink accessible (short walk from the camp site). The site has a great firepit and plenty of space for setting up a couple of large tents. Great space for a couple of hammocks, too. You couldn't access the creek directly from the site, but you could walk about 5 minutes one way for creek access and 15 minutes for swimming hole access. The swimming hole was incredible, the rope swing was fun. Felt a lot of privacy at this site, saw a couple of the other campers, but never felt crowded or unsafe. Our dogs had a blast running around and meeting the animals. Ralph was a great host and we'll definitely be back!

Super place
This was an awesome place. The host came out and met me and took me directly to my spot even though I didn’t get in till about 9 PM. It was quiet and I was able to have my dog with me and she was able to stay off the leash. I was able to walk my dog in the morning off the leash without any worries. The bathroom and showers were very clean.
