Hello Campers & Glampers! Our property is 16.5 acres, two of which are along the Tygart Valley River and the rest are within forest canopy on the mountainside. We are in the low foothills of the Appalachia. We have 4 riverfront sites which are side by side. Two sites are for glampers: a "Stargazer Yurt" which has windows up top perfect for star gazing and the other is a canvas belle tent.
Each site is equipped with a steel fire pit/grill and a picnic table. We have been busy building hiking trails and more primitive campsites on the 14.5 acres on the hillside across the road from the riverfront for all to enjoy.
Step outside your tent and enjoy natures bounty —outdoor activities including fishing, kayaking, hiking, bird watching are all at your fingertips and much more. There are 300+ acres of public land less than one mile away with miles of ATV and hiking trails and stocked ponds. If you're a fan of waterfalls just 4 miles down river is Arden Falls, one of our areas best kept secrets. The Tygart Valley River is one of the top kayaking rivers in the country. Audra State Park is less than 20 minutes away with lush forest trails with caves to explore. Well known hiking trails such as Seneca Rocks, Spruce Knob, and the Dolly Sods are all within an hour drive. Go to Nelson Rocks for the ultimate climbing experience on the Via Ferrata.
We are the perfect place to come to explore the wild beauty of West Virginia without the crowds. A hidden gem!

Loved our time at EarthSky Private Camp. Our space was right along the water and in an open valley with beautiful views. Emily and Dusty were great and provided guidance on places to hike and see in the local area.

Beautiful piece of land.
Super nice hosts! It was a nice spot, it was not crowded which was nice. I think there are only 4 sites, all right by the river. Site 1 has a very nice shade tree. It rained while we were there and you could barely feel it under the tree. My only complaint would be I think $40 is a little high for the basic camp
Spot, which is what I pay at a couple
Places I frequent every year that include some amenities such as showers, playground, restrooms, and a store. But, not a big deal, they did provide firewood, which you have to pay for at most places so I guess it evens out. And they had a canoe there which I took for a ride on the river. It was nice level
Ground which made it easy setup For our rooftop tent. There is a town and a beautiful falls on the river about 10-15 minutes from the site.

Amazing spot, Wonderful hosts
This was such a great campsite!! Emily and Dusty were very helpful and communicative. It is clear they love their land and the area and want everyone to feel the same. It is such a beautiful spot, the only regret is that we could not spend more time there!! Definitely worth the trip!

Excellent Sites!
Earth Sky is perfect for a little getaway to enjoy nature and go hiking. The camp sites are all right off of the river and are actually big enough to spread out and do anything you need to do. The fire rings provided are nice and tall and really protect the surrounding ground. The sites are about 10 minutes from a little town called Philippi and they have a Sheetz/Tractor supply that has anything you need in case you forgot to pack anything. The owners, Emily and Dusty, were super cool, personable, approachable, and responsive. We loved camping at this site!
