Me and my buddies made the site work and we had a great time but the campsite can be deceiving solely from the pictures. the river is nice and the land is cool but you are right next to a highway and this is something we did not know. so if you can make the best of situations and have fun then i would recommend but if the location matters a lot i would not

Samantha was a great host with a great little piece of paradise ! We camped on the non river side, but the River was just across the road. The dogs ran free and we used the pavilion since it was a HOT weekend. The road is close, so if your dogs don't listen, then tie them up ! Thanks for sharing your land with us. We will definitely be back.

My five year old little boy, myself and our two puppies had a wonderful time! We enjoyed the river and the local restaurant/ store just a few miles down the road. It was a perfect place to get away for a few days!

Although next to a nice river, the site was right on the road. Could hear and see every car driving by. There were also no directions as to where to go when we got there. Host could have been more helpful.

Great location, near Ohiopyle, Blackwater falls, Seneca Rocks,and many more. I stayed here with a group of friends and we booked all the sites to have the whole place to ourselves- highly recommend! There is a communal pavilion with chairs and a table. Hosts provided darts, they also have rafts for rent $10 for the day. Only downside is no toilets and it is right next to the road. Other than that would recommend staying here, we had a nice time

This was an amazing spot. I was thankful all of my friends booked all the spots at this campsite. That gave us a very sizable property to set our stuff up while also providing stream/river access. There is also a pavilion on the property that provided the perfect hangout area. All the swimming holes we ventured to were within 30-40 from the camp site

Lovely location. Great stargazing. We stayed two nights and had easy access to lots of beautiful WV. We made some fun connections with the other campers as well. Sam is clearly improving the property over time so I can see this place becoming something really wonderful. Some shops down the road made life easy as well.
Improvement suggestions: Some sites are a bit unsheltered from the road.

We had a fun time at Samanthaâs property. The Cheat River was absolutely wonderful. Samantha was such a nice person and very accommodating. Iâm so thankful she let us visit her slice of paradise in West Virginia.

Camping right on the river was incredibly beautiful! The river is clean and clear, and the dogs loved swimming and chasing sticks in it. I have Verizon and there was no cell service, which made it difficult to communicate with the host once I got to the site. I would suggest making contact with any questions before you get to Rowlesburg, WV. The site was clean, there was already some firewood in the pit, and the host was super nice and helpful when I knocked on the house door to ask my questions. I only stayed 1 night, but definitely want to go back and stay longer to experience the many adventures the Cheat River seems to have available. This site is located right off a state road that had some cars, trucks, and semis driving by that could be loud at times, but to me it was a fine trade off for an otherwise awesome spot.

Wild Cherry Camp is beautiful and easy to access from the main road. Samantha was so welcoming and helpful. They have great views of the Cheat River and plenty of space to hike and explore on their property. We only spent one night at the campsite and we would have spent more time there if we had known more about the area. There are a few interesting areas to explore along the Cheat River Byway.
