We love to hammock camp here! Another good trip. I thought I remembered a firewood bin last time, but there is plenty of felled wood. I recommend bringing a saw or axe to chop it up. The short hike following the path past the pines, going to the left, and then the right off shoot leads down to the ravine with the stream and so many types of moss and mushrooms. This is a go to campsite for my husband and I, and we can’t wait to visit again.

We booked this hipcamp last minute and was excited that it stated that firewood was supplied. We arrived and found no such firewood, it seemed to have a large bin for firewood storage but it was completely empty. My wife drove off to attempt to gain cell phone service so she could call the host, the host never answered and did not return her call when she left a voicemail. The site itself was nice, it would just be nice if the host was more responsive and validated that there was firewood before advertising that it was supplied.

Camp site was nice and tucked back in the woods. The table and decking were nice to have. I have a roof top tent and parked right next to it. Was nice, quiet and secluded. Ferns everywhere. Exactly what I wanted. I will be back.

Wonderful as always and now that I’m returning, it was fun seeing what was going on in the neighborhood as well. There’s so many beautiful things to do. There’s so many wonderful sceneries that you can enjoy while here. I’ll definitely go back again. My family loved it too, even my antisocial teenager who likes playing video game all day asked if we can go back again, so I’ll consider that a plus

We had a great time at this spot, awesome area for the dogs to explore, quiet and peaceful. We did have one person ride up on a dirt bike but they apologized and said they took a wrong turn otherwise no noise or distractions. Nice walking trail and nice access to the creek, we did spot a black bear while walking back at dusk which was cool! Great spot left with some great stories to tell and the pups had the time of their lives, we will definitely return!!

Jim’s land was quiet and beautiful, with a trail that led to a creek. I loved the ferns and birdsong. Ohiopyle State Park and town are just a 20 minute drive. Easy access to Falling Water.

Jim’s campsite was awesome. Just a short walk to a beautiful creek, and the whole site felt private and peaceful. Everything was clean and well kept, which made the stay even better. Our doxin loved running the paths that were cut through the property. My wife and I had a great time and will definitely be back!

We had a great time on Jim’s property. We set out to do a winter campout using our hot stove tent but the weather had other plans! We still used the stove at night, but the weather during the day was unseasonably warm and gorgeous. The wooden deck was a great spot to set up our camp kitchen and we enjoyed some smash burgers under the stars.
The site felt very private and was a great place to chill after spending the day hiking in Ohiopyle (only about 25 minutes away). Would highly recommend this site. Thanks, Jim!

beautiful campsite! there are lovely trails near by. my only recommendation is to check the weather!! firewood may be a little wet depending on when your camping. besides that? 10/10

Nice and quiet and secluded. Firewood was there. It was a cold night and was able to setup my tent no problem and park onsite. Directions to site were accurate. Note there is no phone service there, which was not an issue. Had the best night of sleep Ive had in years.

This is a great spot to tent camp under the trees, enjoy a campfire (with firewood supplied!), and stargaze at a relatively secluded spot. The hike down to the creek is beautiful! I would definitely return to this spot.

The campsite was a little tricky to drive back to. Definitely a job for an SUV. That being said, once we pulled up it was nothing but fall leaves, green ferns and dense trees all the way around. Fire wood and a fire pit as promised. Perfect spot for our tent, camp chairs and the all important camp potty. We took our pup and had no issues whatsoever. It is a beautiful site. On Saturday we made our way to Ohiopyle for some hiking. We had a great time. I would definitely recommend this HipCamp.

Wonderful Space removed from the road. Public Winery right across the street. Wildlife from wild turkey to Red tailed hawks were all around us. Hammock camping worked out well, but 4-6 Person tents also fit the deck quite well. I will be back!

Beautiful land with lots of ferns and hemlock. It was the perfect base camp for us to hike the Laurel highland trail and visit the nearby winery. We enjoyed the short hike down to the creek.

This was our second time staying here, and it was just as wonderful as the first. The privacy is something you just can’t get at a state park, and our dog loved having the space to run around. We cooked a camp meal, relaxed by the fire, and enjoyed the peaceful setting. Part of us wants to keep this place a secret, but it’s too good not to share!

What a great site ! Jim was fantastic it was our first time using Hipcamp and everything was a positive experience. Any questions I had Jim would answer right away. Site has a deck a fire pit and lots of spots to pitch a tent. And a great spot for truck or van camping as well. Nice and quiet and peaceful. Lots of trails and places to hike and explore. Also it’s really nice to find a place that is dog friendly. And the site was clean. Very clean and well kept. Lots of wildlife around. And nice and quiet and dark at night.
Spot has really nice tree coverage and lots of shade and protection from wind and rain. My wife and I really enjoyed our stay. We didn’t want to leave lol.
This site is close to just about everything in the area.
We’re not the type that likes to camp in campgrounds with people next to you. We like our privacy and peace. We were offered firewood but it was so nice out we didn’t need one. But has a great fire pit.
Jim was fantastic couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Just a lovely spot we will definitely be back. And we highly recommend this site.

Jim’s land provided lots of space & privacy. We had a large, 6 person tent, a shower house, a hammock, and filled the provided deck with all our kitchen items. We highly recommend a stay!

Had a wonderful time at Jim’s place. 4 nights spent and would certainly come back for more. Feels very private for the most part and has a wonderful stream close by for the dogs to have fun. Also not to jinx it for the future but, we didn’t find a single tick on ourselves or the dogs… however we did find a black bear!

If you’re looking for privacy and rustic camping, this is the spot for you. This campsite is tucked back deep in the woods, surrounded by trails and ferns. The fire pit is amazing and the deck and picnic table were perfectly situated for our campervan setup. Plenty of great spots for tent campers too!
We were only there a single night while we made our way to MI but would love to come back!

It was a decent spot for a quick camping trip out of town. Relatively close to neighbors, so definitely a decent amount of noise from kids and dogs and revving engines, but it was quiet at night so not too much of an issue. The raised deck was nice and we used the fire pit the first night for making s'mores.
Relatively secluded, because of some pretty thick tree cover, and no one came around or bothered us and directions and communication through messages was good.
