Please note- I only book one group at a time. You'll have plenty of privacy! Spend your day bird watching on the river deck, put up your hammock and chill, go hiking or mountain biking at Cacapon State Park, take the kayaks out and paddle around, go fishing, or take a float trip. I can provide info on put in/take out spots depending on how long you'd like to float. I have 3 kayaks available for your use, or BYO if you'd like to venture further outside of the property lines. There is one big fire ring for cooking and/or bonfires, along with a large stationary stand up charcoal camp grill. There is also a small communal shed down at camp that contains extra camping supplies, etc.. feel free to use use and put back and or/ contribute to it! :) This spot is close by to Berkeley Springs, Paw Paw Tunnel, Cacapon State Park, and other nature preserves. More hiking, biking, restaurants, spas, antiquing- all within a beautiful 20 minute drive if you wish to venture out. There is a cabin on the property. I will more often be home than not, I will communicate with you about that around your stay. Sometimes I"ll come down to the river frontage if I drop in for a float .Also, we all get around on four wheelers and UTV's. So you will hear them from time to time. If I am home, please feel free to come up if you have any concerns/questions or to say hi! :) *Please note, you can normally get to this site without a 4 wheel drive vehicle. However, when the river is high it will sometimes flood the low water bridge where it crosses the Cacapon. If this is the case during your stay, I will provide all necessary information regarding projected river levels and directions. I will also offer a full refund if the bridge is impassable. Weekend Trip to Smith Ridge Harper's Ferry

This was my group’s second time camping at Smith Ridge, hosted by Matt. This time I had a bigger group (7 people, 5 tents, and room for more). We had a great time again, and the onsite firewood we were able to purchase kept us warm during the 25 degree weather! Another plus was the porta-potty across from where we parked so we didn’t have to dig a hole in the snow. My group will 100% keep returning to camp here!

This is a funky little spot, don't be put off by the drive in. Mike has created a number (5?) of leveled gravel full hook up sites pretty close together, but very nice. Sweet communal fire pit right on a deck overlooking a little river. Fantastic bathroom with running hot water and shower! We would definitely camp here again. Thank you Mike.

This is the second time that my family and I have stayed at this site. We liked it so much that we brought friends this time! The location is incredible and Greg is an outstanding Camp host. He’s quickly responsive to all of our questions and needs. He absolutely goes above and beyond to make the stay special and especially to find ways to make it really fun for our kids. May daughter loves seeing the resident cats and Greg’s very chill dogs.I also appreciate how flexible he was when some of our plans changed. I will be back to this site many times.

The Hilltop site was wonderful with beautiful views of the sunrise in the morning and the stars at night. The trees provided privacy from other campers and great birdsong throughout the day. The site itself is pretty bare bones so come prepared -- Greg is super helpful and will bring firewood and other necessities if you ask, though, so it's really not a big deal. Speaking of Greg, he was super kind and offered great recommendations on what to do during the visit. Be sure to ask him about the cave along the C&O Canal path -- we explored it and saw a sleepy little bat that was a highlight for the whole group! :)

Beautiful location! We chose #106 which is very private with a beautiful view. Tony was very responsive when we the firewood location was empty and brought some to our site. We will definitely visit again!
