Spring Haven Farm RV Slip
Jaren’s property is very private, and great if you have a dog. The hookups worked perfectly, and the water was good! It’s a ten-min drive to Harpers Ferry and about 35 to Leesburg - both worth a visit. There are nice wineries nearby too. We loved watching the horses during our stay, and the moon rising each evening. The nearby highway didn’t bother us at all. Would definitely stay here again.
We’ve travelled all over the country and this is one of my favorite spots. The view of the rolling hills and horses feels like you’re in a camping ad haha. It’s super private, perfect little getaway. So close to explore Harper’s Ferry and other historic areas too. 10/10 recommend!
Perfect spot. Only one site so very private. Enjoyed watching the horses the horses. And the view was lovely ! Enjoyed the sweet cat Coffee who checked in twice a day. Host was lovely and gave us privacy. I would definitely go back.
Before booking, I inquired about road traffic noise- site is close to major road. I was told it couldn’t be heard from site, except for occasional motorcycle. Inaccurate. Traffic clearly & loudly audible. Could be heard from inside motorhome, even with two fans & AC running. I wouldn’t have booked had I known true noise level.
I was also disappointed with how my reservation was handled after I requested an early check-out due to the noise. The host knew Hipcamp would charge me, instead of canceling promptly or working with me, the reservation remained active & I was still charged fees. Given that the site wasn’t represented accurately, I feel more consideration should have been given.
After bringing these concerns to host’s attention before & after departure, they were disregarded.
With the host’s permission, I had a pkg. delivered. It was upsetting that my pkg. was opened. I was told their children opened it. Regardless, everyone in household needs to understand- opening someone else’s mail/pkg. w/o permission is a serious privacy violation & can have real consequences. It also raises another concern: what if pkg. had contained private/mature items that children should not be exposed to?
Other concerns- very low water pressure (gauge stayed around 40), difficulty maneuvering around the raised gravel site (esp. with hookups), not being able to open my awning because of sm tree, overgrown grass contributed to mosquitoes, & biting flies attracted by nearby horses.

Spring Haven Farm RV Slip
Beautiful view, peaceful setting and the kindest people!
We had a lovely two night stay. The RV site is private and had everything we needed. We even had two big dogs with us and they had enough room. The horses ran up to the fence to say hello upon arrival.
My boyfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights, it was absolutely wonderful. Because of the location and the open field, we were able to enjoy the sunset and the sunrise every single day. We also awoke to horses right outside our door every morning; it really felt like a cute romantic getaway. The host was very kind, he greeted us when we arrived and then allowed us to enjoy the rest of our time uninterrupted. This place allows for only one camper/tent so if you’re looking for privacy, this is definitely the place.
