The Hill House sits atop 15 acres in an intimate setting with beautiful views of rolling hills and mountains. It features a full-glass garage door, allowing you to fully enjoy the landscape during your stay. This simple and comfortable space accommodates two individuals and serves as a quiet getaway with limited to no cell phone reception, Wi-Fi, or television. We’ve got a roomy drive-through meadow for easy parking, back-in nooks for smaller rigs, and some new cozy spots tucked away for extra privacy. If you’d like some farm-fresh goods, just let us know — we’ll ride up with a couple of baskets when we’re around. Offerings change with the seasons, but you might find fresh produce, homemade goods, or farm eggs when the hens are laying (they usually take a break through fall and winter here in Zone 6). If you’re looking to hang around longer, we do allow extended stays when space allows — and there’s usually a bit of farm work or odd jobs available if you’d like to trade some time for a reduced stay. Our farm lies nestled in between two beautiful mountains, one of them named Panther Mountain, in the Gauley River gorge. Here we raise Merino and Jacob sheep. Our farm is also home to a miniature horse and chickens. In addition to the NRG and Summersville Lake and Dam, also close by are Carnifex Ferry Battleground State Park where you can see where a crucial civil war battle took place, as well as Babcock State Park with its iconic grist mill and waterfall. We provide 5 sites on our farm for every camping style, from electric and water RV hookup, dry RV to tent, each with a canopy shelter, table, fire pit and grill. All sites are spaciously separate from one another for privacy and perfect for couples who want to get away from it all, or for families or groups of friends who want to reconnect and catch up. Clean portajohns are provided as well as a common area with a dishwashing station and a "to die for" outdoor hot water shower (above-freezing temperatures permitting)! Dishwashing station and hot water shower does not apply to the Gauley River Adventure site.

11/10! Would stay again. Simple, yet stunning architecture around a magnificent white oak tree. Comfortable and clean and a joy to fall asleep and awaken into. Exceptional care from the residents and a truly private neighborhood with no noise but by nature.

Our favorite ever! My son is 8, and this camping experience was our favorite setup. I wish we could have done more than 2 nights! Very close to public access streams, great downtown, and the Cacapon state park! Pablo and Lorena are very sweet, friendly, thoughtful and accommodating. 10/10 a must stay with kids!!

Had another pleasant trip, camping on the river at CARP Cove Farm! The site is well kept and owner Ralph is the consummate host. There's a picnic table, firepit, porto, and a water spigot onsite, and the river is steps away. We've been coming here since the fall of 2018 and will surely return. Always recommended!

This place is a hidden gem, between a creek and the banks of the Greenbrier river. Definitely follow the owner's directions because GPS was trying to take us a different way! The facilities are very nice (bathroom, shower, wash area). The campground is conveniently located off the Greenbrier River trail and a short walk ( less than a mile to Jack Horners store (where they sell everything). The owner was polite and responsive to my questions. The dark skies and fireflies were our favorite! Such a beautiful place, will definitely be back!

#10 is a great site for a camper! Level and easy to back in. We loved how spaced out the different sites are. Bathrooms, dish washing, and showers are all nearby but not too close. Route into the campground is tight but is not too bad if you are comfortable pulling your trailer. Near 100F in Central Virginia, maybe mid 80s here. Proximity to the Greenbrier River and the Greenbrier River Trail can’t be beat!

We tent camped at site #4 for the weekend and loved it. It was more private than most campsites. The view and sound of the creek behind our tent was one of my favorite parts. There is a 4-5ft drop off behind site #4 so unfortunately you can't just go strait to it from your site but its only a min walk to a path to the creek. The showers and bathrooms were sparkling clean and there was plenty of firewood for sale. We hope to visit again in August.

We loved tent camping near the waterfall. It’s a great set up for families. My two boys swam in the creek and played in the woods with us and the tent site is right there. We set up chairs and cooked while they enjoyed themselves, found lots of frogs, built fairy houses, and splashed in the water. It’s a half hour from multiple waterfalls include blackwater falls and hour drive from Seneca rock. We loved swimming in the blue lake. It’s been our favorite camp site so far and we’ve been camping for 15 years up and down the east cast. Will definitely be back!

I loved this camping experience! The camp sites felt surprisingly quiet/private and the water was wonderful to swim in. We got to see cows, goats, chickens -- what a treat! We bought firewood and farm fresh eggs (!) from Amber, who was very helpful, kind, and communicative. I would definitely recommend and hope to come back soon!

We had an amazing time staying in the lakeside cabin. As others have mentioned, this is the perfect place to unplug and spend some restorative time with nature. The lake was clean and so blue. Our 7 and 12 year old boys loved the floating trampoline and the herd of cows that paid us a visit. We bought fresh eggs, cheese, and milk from the farm. The owners are amazing and very hospitable. Our family will be back for sure!
