With multiple campsites, car camping, and remote primitive sites, there are plenty of options for your next adventure. Located on 600 acres, we have developed the previously used agriculture land into a trail center in hopes of transforming the property from an underutilized farm into a facility that could support local outdoor recreation use and programming. Currently there are 14 miles of purpose built trails, with plans to install up to 30 miles of natural surface trails that will create access to and feature the natural beauty of the property, which includes open meadows, mature hardwood forests, rock outcroppings, an area of volcanic activity, seven freshwater springs, headwater streams (including Brook Trout habitat), and three distinct knobs. These features provide a rich and unique landscape for a trail system. With so much here, there is no need to leave the property. But if you’d like, we are sandwiched between the Monongahela and George Washington National Forests. An outdoor enthusiasts dream.

I was the only camper in the meadow. It was beautiful and quiet. WiFi worked there. Short walk to showers and bathroom. Directions were clear and communication was good.

A nice spot if you want the perfect balance between private, rustic camping and convenient amenities. We had a little trouble finding the start of the trail to the Firefly site, but one of the hosts stopped by and helped us out after we checked in via the QR code in the community center, and the path up to Firefly was marked really well; after we'd done it once in daylight, we had no trouble finding our way there and back again after dark. (We've done some backpacking so the short hike up with all our stuff was no problem for us, but it's definitely uphill.) The site itself had great views, nice spots for tents with some tree cover, and a spot farther out for a fire. Gorgeous star-gazing, gorgeous morning views! The community center amenities (bathrooms, hot showers, big sink in the back for doing dishes, gorgeous deck with sweeping views) were luxurious; we really enjoyed having them a short hike away. All the little trails running through the property were great for hiking and running. Our dogs had the time of their lives exploring the grounds with us and napping on the community center deck. There's a resident dog who came around now and then; he's very sweet and chill and handled our dogs, who can be a little intense (herding breeds), admirably. We're so grateful we got to stay here on such a nice weekend!

I had a great time camping in the pasture, the night sky was so open and clear and full of stars. I appreciated that you can see the Community Center from any of the campgrounds so you can make your way there to use the toilets and showers.

Lovely, quiet spot! Our family rented bikes and had a lot of fun out on the trail system. The community center was a nice covered place to get out of the rain. We also spent a day visiting some other interesting local spots - cool distilleries and an historic farmstead. We hope to be back soon!!

Beautiful land! The community center is great. Very clean bathroom and showers. The most kind doggo made for good company! He greeted me in the morning and hung out for a few hours which I enjoyed as I was solo venturing this weekend! I absolutely loved the field. Sunset and sunrise views. I like to have space which is why I typically dont go for basic campgrounds so it was nice being able to choose my own spot (even though I was lucky enough to have the place to myself the first night!) Some much needed rain rolled through the second evening, so I made food up under the community center porch which still offers nice views. Listened to the rain, hung out some more with the four legged host haha, and wrote in my journal before heading back down to my tent. Mowed path is great. No signs of mud to worry about. I checked out the cabins and explored some biking trails as it was a quiet weekend at sweetwater. I would absolutely be back to stay in a cabin if the other was unoccupied as they are pretty close together. Great hiking trails in the area too!

The cabins are cozy and the solar power was super convenient. It's a short walk down the hill for bathrooms and showers. Everyone was super kind and helpful. I'd do this over setting up a tent for this property again, next time.

Several of us on adventure motorcycles stayed here as we were passing through. The bathrooms were nice, the tent sites were in a natural but defined area with small tent pads. Good WiFi service at the community center compensated for the lack of any cell signal. The tent spots require hiking a short distance or, in our case, we road our adventure bikes to the site,, you could not do that with a road bike or 4 wheeled vehicle. Hosts were great. I will for sure stay again if in the area.

Sweetwater Farm is beautiful. We enjoyed our hikes and all the thoughtful touches. There were carts to take our gear back and forth to the campsite. The bathrooms were clean and well supplied. There are plenty of picnic tables. I'm repeating, but the scenery is beautiful!
