Property was owned by my great grandfather , He lost 150 acres in the early 1900's due to a bad debt from neighboring landowner. Was so happy to be able to repurchase the 150 acres back in 2016,now own the original land tract and added more. 250 acres in total. Portions were strip mined around 1978-1982 creating some flat fields and access to all property. I might add that strip mining if done properly can and does enhance the property. Ponds were built to catch runoff and several new animal species moved in waterfowl ,muskrats, and beavers. The beavers have constructed large dams on property further adding to the beauty. Have seen several bald eagles on and around the property.

I have discovered a screenhouse is a great way to camp-a way to be in the elements but out of them. Presenting a 10x12 rustic screenhouse located near everything you want to do!
Inside the "cabin" you will find a full sized bed, table and two chairs, and a countertop for preparing meals. Outside you will find a biolite stove and star gazing chairs. I provide filtered water, dishes, a single burner stove, coffee grinder and kettle, french press and an air/foam mattress and an electric generator. You bring your bedding and toiletries. Your own private shower and toilet are just a short walk in the main house.
Walking distance to the New River Gorge Visitors Center and Bridge, Endless Wall and trails are just a mile away.
The cabin is tucked into the trees, with a view of nothing but trees on three sides! You will however hear a bit of traffic noise.

Our 18'x8' tiny house can sleep up to four. We are located right off of the main highway, in a campground/RV park ***off to the side in our own area where we have 4 tiny houses in total**. We are located exactly 2 & 1/2 miles north of the New River Gorge Bridge which is the edge of town of Fayetteville. We are close to the location that Airbnb put us, but due to West Virginia addressing it is the closest we could show on their map. Please ask us any questions you may have prior to booking about location, the tiny houses, activities, or anything!! ** No children under age of 10 and all tiny houses are not pet friendly**
We love the location being 2 minutes from the New river and close to all national parks. The Gorge is an awesome site and we hope others enjoy are area as much as we do. Close to white water rafting and rock climbing areas too.
Guests have access to the parking lot and the yards in back of the cabins. Feel free to bring a frisbie! Also have free access to free washing machines and dryers on the property as well.
***PLEASE NOTE*** Even though they can sleep up to 4 people, it may be very cramped inside with that many.**** Please note the tiny house is 18' X 8'. The first floor approximately 126 square feet including the bathroom. The second floor loft is approx. 80 square feet. Our water is city water on tap.
ALSO, there are 4 of the tiny houses on that part of the campground. EVERY tiny house has it's own picnic table and fire ring. You will never share anything with any other tiny house guest. This is like the new tiny house hotels! All 4 of them are listed on Airbnb. Ask us for the Airbnb links to the others!
Built just last year, our 18'x8' tiny house can sleep up to four. **Our tiny house ceilings are low, with just 6’2’’ in the kitchen. Clearance in the loft is about 4 feet. There’s a steep, narrow ladder into the open loft, which has a small railing, and doorways are narrow at 24 inches wide.** We have 4 tiny houses in total. We are located right off of the main highway, in a campground/RV park ***off to the side in our own area***. All of our tiny houses are completely self contained and on grid with full electricity and running water. ***Please note*** Even though they can sleep up to 4 people, it may be cramped inside with that many.**** Please note the tiny house is 18' X 8'. ***IN THE EARLY SPRING AND AGAIN IN THE FALL UNTIL END OF OCTOBER**There is a space heater and also a wall heater. Please note that these may not warm up to 80 degrees or more***
***PLEASE NOTE****The couch on the first floor has 3 sections that are stacked and are made out of a regular 8 " memory foam , full size bed mattress. The mattress was cut into 3 sections and each section covered. This can sleep 2 people but please note it is a full size mattress, not a queen size. The 3 sections lay next to each other & become a regular full size mattress on the floor. *****The fitted sheet included in the bedding will keep all the pieces put tightly together side by side*** Please ask us any questions you may have prior to booking if you are unsure.
There is a regular home mattress that is queen size in the loft as well. Both are very thick memory foam, regular bed mattresses with all pillows and bed linens provided. The bedding for the first floor bed will be laid out on the couch when you come in.
There is a folding card table and 2 metal folding chairs in the tiny house.
The full bathroom has a shower, toilet, and sink. We include towels, toilet paper, and hand soap. Usually the towel sets are underneath the bathroom sinks.
You will have access to the laundry building where washers and dryers are free to use.
Kitchenette has a kitchen sink with running water, mini fridge, coffee maker, microwave and a hot plate. We include a Mr Coffee type coffee maker, filters, coffee and styrofoam coffee cups. We have one pot, one pan (which are specific to the hot plate), paper plates, paper bowls, plastic ware -knives, forks, and spoons, & plastic cups. We also provide liquid dish soap and paper towels.
There is a television but no satellite, cable or local stations. Feel free to bring your own DVD player, games, etc. and cords. We do not supply cords for your devices. **Please Note** There is NO wifi. The entire New River Gorge area does not have a good service provider yet.
Cell service in our area is usually very good for most carriers, as we are high up and off the main highway. Your cellular hot spot should work very well.
Outside the tiny house, there is a picnic table and fire ring that you’re able to use to cook and push aside the grate later to sit around a fire. Firewood is for sale for $5 per bundle if you call the phone # on the door. They will deliver it in a short period of time. You may want to bring lawn chairs as I do not supply them. Also any outdoor cooking utensils would be good to bring as well.
Love playing games? This is the place for you! More than enough space outside to play bags, horses, washers, frisbee, soccer, kickball...you name it! Ask me about our space!
There is plenty of parking to include trailers and toys. Our tiny houses are along the side on the inside of a campground. Feel free to have a friend camp outside the tiny house. We have no parking rules, feel free to park right by your tiny house.

We clean each room using extensive cleaning checklists. If you would like extra cleaning supplies, please call us, do not message or email. We also comply with local laws, including any additional safety or cleaning guidelines. Please ask us any questions you may have.
We have also own 7 cabins on one property about 2 miles north of the tiny houses. They are also listed in Airbnb, if you can't find their listing please message and I will send you the link to their listings. All are listed in Airbnb. Great for groups or family get togethers!
Our intention is for the tiny house to be affordable and work with your schedule. If the price you see for the dates you want is not available, please message us and let us know what would work for you so we can try to accommodate you.
**PLEASE NOTE** Our general area has a few food delivery services. However, most restaurants will also have carry outs available for you to pick up. Also our guests have ordered groceries at our local Walmart for pick up. This is very handy for groups.

2 nights at Riverdale Farm- River Glamping
We road-tripped from Maine to Tennessee and decided to stop here in West Virginia to break up the trip home and so glad we did! The property was beautiful, right on the water, and easy to find. We only stayed two nights and wish we stayed for a week to really enjoy everything the site has to offer.
We found the complimentary snacks and drinks so thoughtful, and we played a ton of scrabble. They have fishing poles, kayaks, and floats you’re free to use. And they even had a hot tub, which we weren’t aware of when we booked so it was a pleasant surprise. Truly can’t wait to come back :)

2 nights at Revelle's River Resort
We stayed in Blackbear 2 and the view was incredible. The cabin was a little musty but once the window and screen door was open with the fan going, it was fine. We did end up using our sleep pad on top of the futon for some extra cushion because you could feel the bars when folded out. But it was all worth it for that view. The mini-fridge was bigger than expected and the TV has basic cable.
The campground and the staff are lovely. Everyone was welcoming and helpful. The facilities and grounds were clean and there was a lot to do! My daughter enjoyed the playgrounds, playing along the shoreline, riding her bike, playing basketball, and the splash pad (which is fed by a well - so it is not on all the time. They announce the times - usually runs for an hour at a time). She even made a few friends at the playground which is close enough to see from this cabin. It was helpful not having 2 RVs behind us though - it made for clear sight lines to the playground. The camp store is full of basics and fun souvenirs.
I realized I still had the cabin key after we were long gone on the way home 😬 I called them to let them know we would mail it and they were very gracious.
I would definitely recommend the campground, especially for families. We would stay again on our next trip out for sure.

Pros: so peaceful! We never saw or heard another person throughout our stay from 7pm until 11am the following day. Loved that we were able to scavenge for wood and build a fire. Bathrooms were nearby, clean and free. Cons: no source of drinking water. It was a little strange pulling up to the front gate, which was a bungy cord across the road that had to be opened and closed by us. Honor system! But we got used to it

The property was absolutely beautiful. Everything was clean, and well put together. The owners really put our feelings and needs above their own. I would recommend this property to anyone that needs some peace and quiet! Our stay was during storms and flooding, but the owners really did their best to make us feel comfortable.

Rainbow 1 was a perfect retreat for my partner and I during some rainy days. The cabin felt spacious yet cozy for 2. The big tv in the living room was wonderful for gaming and the hot tub out back was lovely. The staff was a delight as well, full of good advice on all manner of topics. Thank you, and I hope to be back some time!!

This was an amazing experience! John the owner is incredibly welcoming and treats you as if you are a guest staying in his bedroom! the land is huge and beautiful with much space between campers! the top view is incredible and even if it is all booked you are more than welcome to walk to the top and enjoy it as long as you like. It was just me and my other friend, two young females and we felt extremely safe.

I can’t recommend this special place enough! Daniel has created a gem that is just the right amount of convenience while still feeling connected with nature. My dog and I were so comfortable here and he very much enjoyed having lots of room to run :). We will happily be back!

We had a wonderful time staying at MountainTop! From the idyllic surroundings to the cozy cabin, everything was lovely. Ed was an especially responsive, accommodating host. With such apparent care, he has created a space that is both welcoming to human visitors and mindful of the plants and animals who make the area their home.

The place was beautiful! The cabin had everything we needed… games, cooking and cleaning supplies, wifi, tv with plenty of watching options, there was even a telescope for star gazing! Loved the peace and quiet. I loved that although there were other cabins, they each had a more than adequate amount of personal space so that it still felt like a romantic secluded getaway for you and your spouse/partner. This is a lovely setup and I would highly recommend. I definitely look forward to coming back! Thank you Rae!

Unreal experience, this was by far the best camping trip we have ever taken! The camp site was very spacious and completely private. The bathroom and hot shower were exceptionally clean and not far from the campsite (we stayed at the first one). Our kids loved the wooden bridges and the many farm animals. They have cows, horses, donkeys, sheep and more. The animals are clearly well taken care of and very enjoyable to pet, feed and watch. We especially loved carabell who will come running over to the fence when you call her name. We also enjoyed wading in the river. We didn't leave the campsite once all our time there (besides for a quick gas station visit), there was so much to see and enjoy on grounds. We couldn't pull ourselves away it was that good and ended up staying an extra night!
Ralph is an incredible host and such a kind human being. Just one example- we got stuck at the further swimming hole which is approximately a 15 minute walk from the campsite in a thunderstorm. I had mentioned to Ralph that we were going to check it out. Ralph noticed we weren't at the campsite and uninitiated he drove his atv all the way to us and gave us a ride back to camp. I can't recommend Carp Cove enough and we really hope to back soon!
