This campground is a hidden gem with full hookups that made our stay comfortable and hassle-free. It was incredibly quiet, making it the perfect place to relax and unwind. The location was convenient and made it easy to get to nearby attractions and essentials. The host was super friendly, welcoming, and made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Everything was well maintained, and the peaceful atmosphere made our visit even more enjoyable. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great campsite
The best thing about this hipcamp is it really is right in Marlinton, which is a great little town. It's a residential section, but super easy walk (or bike) to anything in town, as well as the greenbrier river trail, which is really nice. And if you're looking for full hookups, it's got those. Other than that, there's not a lot to say. From the description and photos we thought we'd be able to see the creek from the campsite, but due to thick vegetation between the hipcamp and the creek, to see or access it you must walk about 100 yards over behind the water plant, or the other way behind some houses, and even then to actually get in the creek would require descending either a steep bank or flood wall. The grassy area in the photos is apparently a popular place for the neighborhood residents to walk their dogs, something we did often see from the campsite.
No one else was in the other 2 spaces while we were there, which was good because they are close together and there is little privacy between sites.
This was a fine spot to park our camper for a couple days and enjoy the area, but we did not feel it was worth the $51 a night charged.

Great location, everything in town was within walking distance. Very quiet and easy access to the site.
This was a nice spot in the heart of town, easy access to everything. The spot was very level, and electrical, water, and sewer hookups all looked basically new.
Communication from the host was great - no issues to report there. We never had the pleasure of meeting the hosts, but that's not really a problem as the site was really easy to find and get settled into.
Overall, if you want to stay in this area, I'd highly recommend.

Campsite 3
The town of Marlinton was everything we wanted to disconnect. The site had a great field next to it for playing games and close to the water for fishing. We were also able to walk easily into town for dinner, ice-cream, or a drink. There is a neighborhood behind you but everyone was so nice and we got to pet so many dogs that we felt like part of the town!
