We offer 2 unique rentals located just minutes from Seneca Rocks, WV. The Renovated Barn is an actual barn, located on a little farm, complete with farm animals! Goats, chickens, peacocks, ducks, and a pig live at the other side of the barn. The Barn is located on a one acre lot, shared with the host's home. I give guests privacy while they are here, but I do come out to the barnyard twice a day to feed and tend the animals. The Renovated Smokehouse is located next door on a 2 acre lot, shared with another rental, the Renovated Farmhouse. The Smokehouse is a charming 2 story cottage that fits into the category of "Tiny House." The animals' grazing area is between the two places, so guests of both can enjoy their company daily. Both properties are very close to many outdoor recreation areas such as Seneca Rocks, Spruce Knob, Dolly Sods, and Canaan Valley where visitors can rock climb, hike, zipline, ski, etc, etc!

Staying at the Renovated Barn is like stepping into a storybook. Nestled in West Virginia's lush forests and rugged mountains, the surrounding grounds are magical. This is a working farm and your neighbors will be goats, ducks, peacocks, and a pig! Guests are welcome to interact with and feed the animals. These interactions are unsupervised, so for safety reasons (of both the guests and the animals), adults only, aged 18 and older allowed. Located just 4 miles from Seneca Rocks, and within a 45 minute drive of Spruce Knob, Dolly Sods and other iconic WV sites, the location is ideal for outdoor enthusiasts. The Renovated Smokehouse

This charming old Smokehouse offers a super cozy cottage stay in the heart of the mountains of West Virginia. It is located in Seneca Rocks, next to the Renovated Farmhouse, and the grazing area for the Renovated Barn farm animals. You can view the farm animals right from your window! The 2-story building is small, but we've packed it all in. Downstairs there is a bathroom with hot shower, kitchenette (mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, hot plate), small sitting area and walk out patio. Upstairs has a Queen Bed and TV with streaming. There is AC and heat, keeping it nice and cozy year-round. And of course there is free Wifi. There is a designated fire pit for guests of the Smokehouse, and a private walk-out terrace with table and chairs. The rest of the yard area is shared with guests of the Renovated Farmhouse.

My second time staying at the Renovated Barn and it’s truly a great place to stay! Loved seeing the animals in the morning.

Renovated Barn at Seneca Rocks
This renovated barn was everything we wanted - it's very clean, well equiped, and beautifully apointed. The hosts were friendly, asking if we had everything we needed when they saw us. The farm animals are wonderful - a cute as can be pig, goats, chickens, a rooster and more. While the barn isn't isloated on the property, we definitely felt like we had our own space, indoors and out. Thank you so much!

The Best Cabin Ever
Renovated Barn at Seneca Rocks
If we could leave more than 5 stars we would! Absolutely incredible place to stay. The animals were fun to meet and the host was very nice. We loved the book inside and especially learning all the animals names. The place was clean and warm inside, as it was cold the night we were there. Highly recommend!

Awesome spot! Definitely plan on going back at some point in the future. Great area to sit out and have a fire while looking up at the stars and listening to the river near by. Very cozy little barn and lots of friendly animals to feed on the property.

This spot was absolutely wonderful! Well kept, a super detailed book for all the needed info for the area and we loved feeding the farm animals torn up banana peels. Kiwi was definitely our favorite 🥹

Renovated Barn at Seneca Rocks
We had the absolute best time at the Renovated Barn! The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the barn very charming and cozy. My boyfriend said that it deserved a 20,000 star review. The animals were so sweet and friendly, and it made the whole experience so unique. I could not recommend Michele’s place enough!

Such a cute little cabin, the kitchenette was perfect for us to make some meals and the bed was so comfortable. Perfectly clean with so many thoughtful touches. We would definitely come back!

Check in was easy. The barn has everything you need, heat, AC, stovetop, microwave, utensils, coffee maker, shower, towels, and plenty of blankets. The animals were cute and friendly!
