We have four cabins like this arranged in an L shape. We also have three additional one-story cabins that sleep four guests on the same property, making this a great option for groups or family get-togethers.
Please see the photos of these two-story cabins. They are separated from one another, and each has its own private outdoor area on the right side of the cabin.
Each eight-person cabin has two twin beds in a common area on the first floor and six twin beds upstairs. As shown in the photos, the twin beds can be pushed together to make king-size beds or arranged separately in an L shape to create more space.
First floor: 14' x 20'
Second floor: 20' x 20'
The beds feature regular home-style mattresses on wooden bed frames—they are not cots.
The second floor is not a loft. Please note: All of the beds are in one room. There are no separate bedrooms upstairs.
The kitchenette includes a built-in two-burner electric cooktop, microwave, coffee maker, and full-size refrigerator/freezer. We provide two small pots, one small frying pan, utensils, plastic silverware, paper plates, bowls, cups, coffee mugs, paper towels, dish soap, coffee, coffee filters, and basic kitchen supplies. However, you may want to bring your own cookware and dining items for larger groups.
We are located exactly four miles (about four minutes) north of the New River Gorge Bridge at the edge of Fayetteville. Our property is just off Route 19 and one mile south of Route 60. Our actual location is very close to the one shown on Airbnb, but due to West Virginia's addressing system, it is the closest point available on the map.
We are in the heart of the area's outdoor adventures, including whitewater rafting, ziplining, rock climbing, and access to national and state parks. The New River Gorge climbing area is just four minutes away.

Want to see 5 star panoramic views of the Appalachian Mountains? This ultra-safe, ultra-private property is located only 10 minutes off interstate 77. There is only one farm past ours so road traffic is very minimal. Plenty of room to do what you and your pets want to do while exploring our 60 acres. The sun rises up behind the view and lets you see just a little further. It is nothing short of amazing. The sunrises are always different and some are the most beautiful you have ever seen. The mornings sunrise and the stars out here on a clear night are two of the best things this mountain has to offer. It will not disappoint. We can accommodate up to a 35ft RV. The best part is no long walks, you can park at the campsites and camp on flat ground. Each campsite features chairs, a bench, a swing and a camp cooktop that is fueled by your campfire. Nothing is needed to use the cook tops other than a campfire. The local area has lots to do. Several National Parks, rivers and trails. View stars as only those miles away from any light can experience. The crickets and whippoorwills will sing you to sleep. Google link, trail map, and campsite location map will be emailed the day before arrival. The onsite Porta John is cleaned on the 15th every month.

The Byrd's Nest is a river front, primitive campsite on the scenic Cacapon River in Great Cacapon, WV. The property is very secluded, but only 2 hrs from D. C. and Baltimore. The space can accommodate 5 tents comfortably or a few small campers (w/o hookups). Please note- I only book one group at a time. You'll have plenty of privacy! Spend your day bird watching on the river deck, put up your hammock and chill, go hiking or mountain biking at Cacapon State Park, take the kayaks out and paddle around, go fishing, or take a float trip. I can provide info on put in/take out spots depending on how long you'd like to float. I have 3 kayaks available for your use, or BYO if you'd like to venture further outside of the property lines. There is one big fire ring for cooking and/or bonfires, along with a large stationary stand up charcoal camp grill. There is also a small communal shed down at camp that contains extra camping supplies, etc.. feel free to use use and put back and or/ contribute to it! :)
This spot is close by to Berkeley Springs, Paw Paw Tunnel, Cacapon State Park, and other nature preserves. More hiking, biking, restaurants, spas, antiquing- all within a beautiful 20 minute drive if you wish to venture out.
There is a cabin on the property. I will more often be home than not, I will communicate with you about that around your stay. Sometimes I"ll come down to the river frontage if I drop in for a float .Also, we all get around on four wheelers and UTV's. So you will hear them from time to time. If I am home, please feel free to come up if you have any concerns/questions or to say hi! :)
*Please note, you can normally get to this site without a 4 wheel drive vehicle. However, when the river is high it will sometimes flood the low water bridge where it crosses the Cacapon. If this is the case during your stay, I will provide all necessary information regarding projected river levels and directions. I will also offer a full refund if the bridge is impassable.

The cabins are primitive, no electric or water. There are solar lights inside and and out also a propane wall heater for chilly nights. This is comfortable camping in the Beautiful Mountains of WV. There is a shower house with instant hot water and outside spigots for water, a porta potty, a fire-pit for cooking and camp fires at night while star gazing. The property is over 100 acres in Greenbrier county WV. There is a lot of history in this area. There are tons of wildlife on the property as well. We have awesome trails with GREAT Views for hiking or horse back riding should you decide to bring your own equine. Pets are allowed with prior notice (not to be left unattended in the cabins). We have a private dog park that you will have access to on the property. We also offer doggie daycare & boarding here at the farm (prior proof of vaccine is required) should you need our services. The cabin was a great way to unplug and get away for awhile. I enjoyed coffee on the porch in the morning next to the river. It was closely located to many trails, parks and lakes. (10-20 minutes)

Stayed in the orange cabin and it was great. Cabin was clean. The views are great and everything they advertised was true. Mt bike trails were well maintained.
This was my second time visiting the farm because of my kid being in a camp. Last year I stayed in a tent. For this year, the cabin was a wonderful upgrade. If you are looking for a clean off grid cabin in the heart of great mt biking, this is a great option.

Had an amazing time getting away from the city to this wonderful oasis. Host was very helpful and accommodating! You can tell the whole place has thought put into every detail. Had everything you need to get off grid and enjoy nature. Absolutely recommended, can't wait to go back!

1 night at The Oasis at Bear Run Farms
This is one of my top 3 Hipcamp stays, ever. A true break surrounded by nature. And the aquamarine natural spring-fed lake!!! The only time I’ve been near water THAT clean, clear- was at Glacier National Park. This place is a treasure. I am already planning my return. Thank you!!!

Weekend Trip to Casita Of LOVE (Panhandle WV)
Being in a clear house in the woods gives you the feeling of being fully immersed in nature. Having the outhouse, shower, & sink allows you to also feel clean & comfortable. There is electricity & wifi, which is a plus because otherwise we did not get any service. Hosts live on the property & were responsive. We enjoyed the river. Very peaceful.

Wow what an experience. Ed and family really have the place set up well. The land is well kept where necessary but left wild everywhere else. We spent hours in the pond swimming and fishing as well. My 8 and 10 year old loved the place and explored it with curiosity. Thank you for letting us share your slice of "almost heaven". We will be back again.
And to the fellow hipcamper. If youre on the fence for any reason. I suggest you get off that fence and book this place. You won't regret it.

I spent a few days here with my son and it was wonderful! The cabin is great, and has everything you need. The deck facing one of the ponds is wonderful and a great place to sit and hear the fish jumping out of the water, the frogs, and birds. The river is fun and was one of our favorite spots. My son looked and found lots of salamanders, snails, and fish.

This cabin is in a great location. Remote enough but convenient to a lot. The river view was nice although there was quite a bit of old rusty metal and broken glass in and around the river access. The cabin itself was roomy and cozy. It mostly exceeded our expectations.

It's an adorable cabin in a very peaceful setting, but not too far from Grand Cacapon or Berkeley Springs. The cabin is clean and well-appointed, although a tad tight with 3 teenagers. Do make sure to pay attention to the instructions and bring trash bags. Its a great "base camp" to go out and explore the local area.

3 nights at Hilltop Sunrise Camping, RV, Cabin
The bunkie cabin was exactly what I needed during my visit to WV. The bed was comfortable, the sunrise was beautiful, and the location was incredibly convenient. John (host) gave me great recommendations on where to eat and what to do for fun. So much so that I extended my trip an extra day! I ran into John out and about and could really tell that he is apart of the community. I would highly recommend this campsite to nature lovers that like a little extra comfort. I can’t wait to visit again!

2 nights at Casita Of LOVE (Panhandle WV)
Our time at The Invisible House was exactly what we were hoping for - it was not only peaceful, but we had everything we needed for a restful 3 nights and 4 days. Even though we had planned to spend an evening in Berkeley Springs, we opted to sit by the campfire each night and just be swallowed up in nature! Lorena was a gracious hostess, making sure we were comfortable and sharing their beautiful property with us. What an experience! We would love to visit again!

The cabin was so cute and smelled like pine! And the hot shower area is nestled amongst the trees. I love being in the woods and having access to the forest air so I loved it. I could hear some cars but it didn't bother me!

We had a wonderful time at Ed's cabin and hope to return soon! The cabin was cute and cozy, providing just enough space for my wife, myself, and our dog. The property it sits on is really the star of the show! Weekend Trip to A 1000 Miles from Nowhere Cabin
Really appreciated this simple almost primitive cabin in a time of much needed meditation. Stars, walks, fishing, and nights around a fire. Go around to the back patio and youll find a hammock and fire table. Alot of history and things to check out. Wildlife and much more. If you love being in the wilds and would appreciate electric too. This is the place for you. Generous and attentive host. Hope it stays wonderful and rustic!
