Want to see 5 star panoramic views of the Appalachian Mountains? This ultra safe, ultra private property is located only 10 minutes off interstate 77. There is only one farm past ours so traffic is very minimal. Plenty of room to do what you and your pets want to do while exploring on our 60 acres. Come enjoy the view and recharge and relax in peace and quiet. The sun rises up behind the view and lets you see just a little further. It is magical and one of the best things this mountain has to offer. It will not disappoint. We can accommodate up to a 35ft RV. The best part is no long walk for the best views! You can park at the campsites and camp on flat ground. Each campsite features a bench and a camp cooktop. Nothing is needed to use the cook tops other than a campfire. The area has many parks, rivers and trails for fly fishing, kayaking, biking, hiking, horseback riding, bird watching, and photography, etc. View stars as only those miles away from any light can experience. The crickets and whippoorwills will sing you to sleep. Google link, trail map, and campsite location map will be emailed the day of arrival. Stars, moon and sunrise - win!
Cool location. Several spots to tent camp. The exposed spots were breezy, so be prepared, but nothing unusual for camping on the top of a mountain. Fire pits were legit and Tony was super responsive. Looks like there is upgrading going on which is a good thing. The cabins for rent at the tippy top of the mountian are sweet. Weathered ground brewery is close by and they had good beer and wings. The stars, full moon and sunrise were the high points of the stay. One thing I would say, it would be nice if the newly installed lights for the campsite number signs had an off switch. It's not like they were flood lights, but when the night comes and the stars are out, it would be nice to be able to shut them off. For my purposes a little duct tape did the trick, but that's not a fix that's sustainable.

Overall we really enjoyed our stay at mountaintop retreat. When we arrived our tent broke and Tony very kindly offered to let us borrow a tent but we opted to sleep in our cars because it was snowing/raining. The view is beautiful and the site was really nice and well maintained. Our only concern was that the firewood we bought was kept uncovered and was wet so we had a hard time with that. The toilet could have been a little cleaner but it wasn’t bad at all. There is a very friendly dog, Hank, that came to our camp a few times to visit. He was very sweet but a little jumpy and tried to get into our tents and cars, We are all dog people so it wasn’t a huge issue for us but a dog we didn’t know jumping on us was a little concerning at first. We also loved having the swing at our site! Once the weather cleared up the view of the stars was amazing!

Peace and quiet with a view
We just stayed 1 night on our way home so we arrived late in the day. There was a snow squall at the time so it was a little sketchy finding a spot for a large truck and travel trailer. We ended up setting up near the cabins and hunkered down. Tony is a great communicator and will give you great directions. The campground is going to be really nice when finished.

Awesome place. Amazing views. Nice proximity to New River Gorge for exploring. The local brewery was very good, too. Clean port a potty. Thoroughly enjoyed our trip.
