Minimum age is 16 years old or at the discretion of the host. They cost $25/hr. per person. Experienced horse riders can book horse rides for $50/hr. per person. THE CAMPGROUND IS REGISTERED WITH MONTGOMERY COUNTY SHORT TERM RENTALS LICENSE # STR25-00075. The campground is situated in the wooded area on the back of 27 acre horse farm which is known as "The Stables at Mezza Luna." There is Wi-Fi to all the sites. Every year in the spring there are 4-6 Thoroughbred foals born that eventually will become racehorses. They live on the farm until they are 2 years old and then they go off to begin their racing career. In the daytime, when you are not sitting around your campfire, you can walk the fence lines and visit with the Mares and Foals or just watch them frolic in the fields.. Who knows, you might get to meet a future Kentucky Derby winner. Our property is in Howard County, Maryland, and is super convenient to I-95, I-295, Hwy 32, and I-70. It is centrally located between Washington, DC, Baltimore, MD, and Frederick, MD. We are located right off of Highway 32 down a long, private paved driveway. What makes our property unique is all that it has to offer--it's an 18 acre oasis with mature woods protected by a conservation deed, lightly rolling hills, beautiful fields, wetlands, and a pond. It is not surprising to see deer and our local great blue heron on the property throughout the day. There is also a fire pit, which you are free to use. Firewood is free, though it may get wet when it rains.

There is evidence of civil war activity here and the old river ford is on our property. Creek and river access make this a beautiful, peaceful place that is full of life. The energy here is overwhelmingly positive. Our house was built in the 1850s and the neighboring farm was built shortly after—lots of history on this property. You will be able to camp right next to Glade Creek which is always cool, clean, and refreshing. Our goal with opening the land up for camping is to eventually phase out commercial farming on the property and transform it into woodlands using native plants and trees. We've already started by planting hundreds of native tree species along the creek and river banks. Each camper gets us closer to that goal! Thanks for your support! From the flat land at the bottom to the top of the mountain, this is a place where you can find a spot to sit and think, draw, paint, nap, or identify over 30 medicinal plants in their natural habitats (absolutely NO harvesting of medicinals or wildflowers!). Listen to the many birds, spot the wildflowers. Some areas are accessible by wheelchair, while others are not, but all areas offer something to sustain your spirit. If you feel the need to explore the area, you are within walking distance of NotaViva Farm Brewery and Winery, 15 dirt road minutes from the new Sweet Run State Park one direction and Breaux Vineyard in the other direction. The Appalachian Trail is just over the top of the mountain and Harpers Ferry National Park is down the road and over the Shenandoah River. We might be a teeny bit biased, but we think this is area of northwest Loudoun County, VA is one of the loveliest places in the world.

Nice place, it is very centrally located to Baltimore and DC. Many people in the past have ended up staying here for long term stays as traveling nurses or physical therapists. Rates will be cheaper for month-to-month leases. Also access is available to nearby hiking areas within walking distance with piney run creek. There is a great park nearby called piney run park within 10 min driving distance. Very nice professional setting.

Looking to tend to you? Would it be to rest in nature and soak up the sounds and wonder of our wooded landscape, explore hiking trails and national and state parks, float down the Potomac, and/or visit historic sites and towns? Fern Yabin (a hard sided yurt) is nestled in a forest on a ridge (Elk Ridge) directly across from the Maryland Appalachian Trail. We are tucked down in a holler surrounded by streams, towering Poplars, wildlife and dappled sunshine. The land hosts some animals - a goat, dogs, cats, chickens, and ducks while growing medicinal plants, seasonal edible berries/fruits (wineberries, raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, mulberries, elderberries, vine kiwi, pawpaw, etc.) and rocks (plenty of them). There is a couple of acres enclosed with an electric fence where the livestock guardian dog (Luna) roams with the animals. We also sell farm fresh eggs. Fern Yabin is a rustic hard sided yurt style cabin that has hot and cold water, composting toilet, outdoor shower (cold water only), a indoor soaking tub, hot water kettle, an outdoor propane grill, ceiling fan, outdoor patio and fire pit, skylight, WiFi, and lots of character. The Yabin was a true labor of love built as a collective effort in community. There is a designated parking spot and a gravel path (moderate decline) that leads down to the Yabin. If you are a thru hiker, drop off and pick up is available for a fee. Please inquire upon booking. We are 10 minutes to the Appalachian Trail (Weverton Cliffs/Gathland SP and Crampton Gap) and the Potomac/Shenandoah Rivers (great for tubing/kayaking/wading/swimming). There are outdoor outfitters within 15 minutes where all kinds of wonderful adventures await including a brewery with a stunning vista of the river and area. We are 15 minutes away from historic Harpers Ferry. Antietam National Battlefield and other historic sites are within 30 minutes. For amazing dining opportunities and small city life - Frederick, MD, Boonsboro, MD, Brunswick, MD, Shepherdstown, WV and Charles Town, WV are about a 30 min drive. We are also close to several state parks in the tri state area (MD, VA, WV). A bunch of us Dads and kids had a great stay at T3 Group Site. The kids were entertained playing on the swing set and by the creek. It was plenty of room to fit our 10 tents. The string lights around the site were a huge benefit to be able to keep track of all kids playing at night time. This is a very good site for large group. It’s isn’t completely private as there is another site near by and a camper site 100 yards away, but it’s private enough tucked back into the woods where you don’t have to worry.

Would recommend! Access to a porta potty, very peaceful at night. There were a few cars that drove by the main road in the middle of the night but not a big deal at all. We did hear some roosters in the morning but also didn't bother us. I would definitely come back! Lovely night of stargazing by our campfire! The host kindly gave us a starter to help us out as well!

Rohersville Roost was fantastic. Private and quiet. Booked late host accommodated us with having an extra car. Also left us fully stocked up with wood, kindling, and two jugs of water. The animals was a bonus to watch and see.
