Creekside Camp is perfectly situated in Shannondale West Virginia near Historic Harpers Ferry. This campsite has two small ponds, spring and a creek on the property. The Appalachian Trail, Mountain Lake Club and Shenandoah River Access are five minutes away. The property borders 1800+ acres of Shannondale Springs Wildlife Management Area. This is an outdoorsman's paradise but if you like to venture into town there is the Charles Town Casino and Horseracing. Numerous restaurants and places to shop. There are dozens of wineries nearby as well. So if you are looking for a rustic camping experience with other fun things to do, This is the place for you.Chord Camp Campsite has Two Small Ponds. Both ponds contain some fish. Fishing the ponds are allowed but it is catch and release fishing only. This Property borders Shannondale Springs Wildlife Management Area. Which is loaded with walking trails and abundant wildlife. We are 1/2 mile away from an Appalachian Trail Access and parking area, 3/4 mile from a public access and parking to the Shenandoah River for Kayaking or Fishing, there is also a private lake that allows swimming, fishing and other recreation for a small fee a five minute walk from camp. Search “ Mountain Lake Club” We are 10 minutes from the Charles Town Casino & Race Track and Historic Harpers Ferry.

Vehicles under 40 feet allowed

I had a 36 foot RV Of my own parked here but it was not very convenient getting it in or out. The overall length of that was over 50 feet.

Allowed rigs: travel trailers, fifth wheels, toy haulers, pop-up campers, class B RVs, class C RVs, campervans, cars, truck campers, and rooftop tents

We are working to make it easier for larger RVs to get in and out.

Mike was a great attentive host very funny and knowledgeable. We had to leave in the night for an emergency but the rest of the day was beautiful there’s a bar and restaurant on the lake a few minutes away and lots of trails

We loved this little spot! We were looking for an easy weekender not too far from Baltimore. Having water and bathrooms on site made for less planning. Mike was super helpful and had everything we needed!

A great little site for tent camping, with a pond for our dogs to go swimming made for a nice camping spot. Mike was super friendly and helpful, couldn’t ask for a better host! Super close to hiking trails and a lake where swimming and fishing were available.

Mike was an awesome host! Very kind and helpful. He was able to answer any and all questions we had. Nice little camp site. We are fisherman and there is a lot of water access very close to Mike’s property (including 2 ponds on his property)!

I love a rainy night!

This was my first time using hipcamp and it was a lovely experience on Mike's property. We set up two tents, one on the small hill, and one below it near the fire ring. The creek next to our fire felt very serene and relaxing. It rained off and on during our short stay which so we slept full to the sounds of it. We went on a little hike in the woods after our hot cup of coffee. Lake Shannondale is 5 minutes away. Mike is an excellent host, very hospitable, with a great sense of humor.

What an awesome place! Loved walking the woods. The dog loved swimming in his pond! Camp site was overall awesome and Mike was one of a kind. A super nice guy. Unfortunately we got rained out and had to leave because our dog is terrified by thunder. Really cool place to camp can’t wait to go back.

Great Host & Amazing Campsite

We loved tent camping on Mike’s property. He gave us a tour when we arrived and was the friendliest host I’ve ever met. The site is the perfect peaceful getaway and is within a short drive to plenty of wineries, breweries, and hiking. Wish we could have stayed longer, but would 100% stay here again!

Mike was a great host, lots of things to do in the area. Clean bathrooms. Paved roads all the way to camp site. Overall a great experience, I will be visiting again.
