Wineberry at Evensong Farm
Last year, I visited this site with my 6-year-old son and returned recently with friends, occupying both sites because we had such an enjoyable experience. The most common comment from everyone was "oh this is great!" and I wholeheartedly agree. Everything is exceptionally well-organized and maintained, with ample amenities to ensure a comfortable, stress-free, and enjoyable stay. The tents are spacious, with additional pitchable tents provided so there's no need to bring your own. The private, clean, and user-friendly outhouse and shower facilities are convenient. The kitchen and dining area are well arranged, and the host offers mess kits, cookware, and a large power bank for a small fee. The host is highly responsive to inquiries and communication. On-site hikes and scenic areas within a short drive add to the experience. A stream nearby offers pleasant wading, just a few minutes' walk away, and the two sites are easily accessible from each other. Located minutes from Harper's Ferry and Virginia/Maryland wine country, it’s an ideal low-fuss camping spot suitable for kids and well-behaved dogs. We plan to return frequently.

I've never camped somewhere with so much open space to ourselves. It was beautiful! Definitely planning on going back.

We loved this little slice of heaven. Secluded campsite. Never heard a peep from the second campsite even though we were told it was a party of 9. Loved the tent, the bed, the porch chairs, all the solar lights around the campsite if we needed them. We took naps in the hammocks 2 days in a row. Just the right mix of roughing it and having everything you need.

Julie was a great host! First of all, the location is even better than the photos. Vast land but very private. Second, was surprised by all the extra amenities the host thought of to make your stay there pleasant. Grill, sink, lamp, nice wooden table, grilling utensils, and more. We highly recommend the campsite for a getaway!!!

We loved camping at Julie’s! When we arrived she help get us to the site (it was dark out already) and showed us around. Every amenity was thought of. There were even cute lights on the cooking tent and on the walk to the other site. We rented both sites for our large group. The property is beautiful and we had the best time!

Julie’s property was absolutely a joy and as I write this my partner have already thought a return trip that will add additional days to fully enjoy her property and the amenities. What stood out was the details of having everything available and her overall responsiveness to any questions or requests we had.

Wineberry at Evensong Farm
Both sites at Evensong were just wonderful for our 2 families, and Julie was a perfect host. The tents were very comfortable, the sites were very picturesque, and the grounds were perfect (and safe) for letting the kids run around and have adventures. We were particularly impressed with how well-appointed the sites were in terms of things like lanterns, kitchen equipment, and lots of other little details to make the stay more comfortable.

Autumn Olive at Evensong Farm
The Evensong sites were just fantastic for our two families. Julie truly thought of everything. The tents were very comfortable, there was ample space for kids to safely run around and have adventures, and the property was very picturesque. I was particularly impressed with how well equipped both sites were with everything from lamps to outdoor kitchen equipment.

Staying at Julie’s was a wonderful experience. We were a big group but all of us fell in love with the land. Julie was amazing and very proactive with anything we needed help with. We hope to return some time soon!

We had a fantastic stay at Evensong Farm! The site was well set up with everything we needed — the amenities were all on point. I really appreciated that firewood (one bundle per night) and plenty of water were included, with the option to buy more wood if needed. The host was very responsive and helpful throughout our stay.
It was also really cool that the two sites are within easy walking distance of each other — perfect if you’re going with friends. There’s lots of space for extra tents, and it’s nice knowing you can comfortably fit up to 12 people if you want a bigger group gathering. The canvas tent itself was great, with a real bed and even a tent under the bed.
The location is excellent — just a short drive to Harpers Ferry for a daytime hike and a beer afterward. Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back again!

We stayed at Julie's farm this past weekend. The yurt was super cute and the setup for the pavilion, kitchen area worked well for us. We had hoped the picnic table was bigger. We had 5 of us and all of use could not sit down together at once. The propane grill grates need to be replaced, bring tin foil. We never used the shower, but we used the composting toilet a lot. Definitely not a huge fan of that aspect. We hiked down to the river and it was beautiful. We just wish their was an easy access point to the river. It was very muddy, so we decided to skip getting in. Overall a fun weekend away. Definitely would visit in fall though. It was to buggy for our likening.

This is such a lovely campsite, with a view of fields and walkable paths through both fields and wooded areas, and also a creek. Julie is a wonderful host who makes us and our dogs feel at home and respects our privacy while camping on her farm. My husband and I have stayed here multiple times and will continue to return.

We fell in love with Julie’s campsite. Great for those who have never been camping. Everything at our finger tips “I call this site an Airbnb”.
My grandchildren/grand dogs enjoyed every part of the wide open field. We’re ready to come back to this place as soon as we can.

Beautiful secluded site tucked into a corner overlooking a meadow. Thoughtfully configured outdoor kitchen was great. Host Julie was great at communication and water refills.

We loved our weekend here! The site had everything we needed to have a pleasant, relaxing time. We were thankful for the covered kitchen area when there was some rain. The lights around the tent and kitchen area were nice at night. We really loved the fire pit at night. We enjoyed hiking around and our dog loved the creek.

Had a wonderful time camping at Evensong Farm in August 2024. We were 8 adults in all. We secured both sights, mostly hanging out at Wineberry where the kitchen had the propane grill. Will be back. Easy working with Julie. She is what you hope for in a host. Appreciate all the extra touches....firewood provided, starter kindling, solar lights on the tents, battery lights inside, overhead fan above the bed, kitchen outfit available, bedding available, extra tent(s) available, kitchen tented, cooking utensils, frozen lemonade with unique (to me) flavors available. YMMV but bugs were not an issue. Beautiful private spots...short walk between sites. Screech owls in the woods was about all we heard at night. Enjoyed the Perseid Meteor shower. Convenient to the Battlefield.

Great site! Love the platform tent and all the kitchen supplies. Compost toilet worked great, even though we were a little nervous. Creek was lovely. Definitely bring water shoes if you want to go in. Communication was easy and it was a lovely spot.

We had a great weekend adventure while staying at Evensong Farm! We rented both sites for two families of 4 each (two kids at each site). Julie was extremely communicative prior to our arrival, answered all questions and requests and provided helpful suggestions for activities during our stay. Upon arrival, Julie was invaluable at showing us around the campsites, and giving us instructions on the various areas and facilities. She even gave us a heads up that some bad weather was rolling in at one point (no worries, the tent setups are extremely solid!). Our entire group had a great time, and one of many highlights was the terrific canoe trip with Mike (one of Julie's recommendations), that ended right at camp, a perfect excursion. We will be back ASAP!

Very private camp area, great for a getaway with my husband and our three dogs. Julie is a very gracious host and makes sure we get water refills as needed. She and her sons take wonderful care of the property. Close enough to town to easily restock ice and other supplies for a weeklong stay.
