Waterfront property on Lake Ellwood. Park your RV or tent camp on this 1+ acre wooded lot and enjoy the peace and quiet. 100' of private lakefront, now accessible by pathway and dock. Close to boat landing; bring your toys. There is a long drop toilet (with lake view), picnic table and fire pit. Tent camping is recommended on the lower and middle levels where the land is flat. RVs may prefer to park on the upper level where it is possible to pull a camper through. Lot does not currently have power, sewer or electric, so make sure you are self sufficient.Heavily wooded lot descending down to Lake Ellwood. Upper level is gravel and suitable for RVs. Next lower level can accommodate tents or maybe a B Class. Lower sandy level has a long drop toilet, fire pit and picnic table. This is not accessible by most vehicles. Tent campers will need to walk their equipment the 20’ or so down to the sandy level. There is a steep switchback leading to a small dock. If you have a water craft, you can launch it at the boat launch nearby. The area is great for taking long walks, boating on the nearby Menominee River. There are bars and restaurants just a few minutes drive from the lot. There are no shower/laundry/sewage facilities. The town of Florence has an RV dump and water for a small fee. This is a vacant non managed lot. Please leave the lot tidy, thank you

Not private at all

We were only camping for a night, so it wasn't a big concern. The way down to the water was steep and not maintained at all. This is a lakeside lot. You have homes on both sides that are occupied. They are able to clearly see your whole campsite. The fire ring is not on the beach. It is on the lowest level. This is also where the port a potty is. No toilet paper. This could be an amazing place with some TLC.

Jane's place was pretty cool! It has it's pros and cons, but a solid place! Not a lot of privacy but tons of fun and a great location and great fishing right off the dock. Would definitely stay again! She did a nice job with it.

My dogs and I enjoyed this site

I enjoyed camping near the water at this site. There are two hills to decend to get to the lowest level which has a picnic table, fire pit with cooking grate and a portapotty. The campsite was situated overlooking the water. To get to the water, there was a steep hill with steps and a path leading down to a dock. The water was crystal clear and although there are properties on both sides it was very quiet. I would definitely visit this site again.

Not Worth the Price (yet)

While the location could be beautiful, there were some issues with a broken down trailer, popup trailer, and abandoned tent which made things look shabby. The employee who met us stared at me for an awkward pause after he mentioned there was a shower house, which was an immediate no thanks on that facility. The diagram showed that we were the only site on the water, which made the higher price make sense. Instead, we had neighbors pretty close by; they often walked over to spend time in their vehicle which apparently “had” to be parked in the back of our site. There were also the WORST mosquito issue when the sun set, making it impossible to sit outside, and they bothered us until we left the next morning. I don’t recommend.
