Fisher Cat Creek Forest Retreat
If you want to unwind in a whimsical cabin with an off grid experience, this is the place. We enjoyed sitting, reading and playing games by the big windows looking out into woods. At night it's a place where the stars shine bright, and the world is quiet and calm. We thoroughly enjoyed the wood burning stove. We used it to cook leisurely breakfasts, and later winter stew. Hosts are helpful, and kind. All the little touches, from overall ambience, to the binoculars, games and books, made it the cozy extended weekend we were looking for. We would have loved to stay longer. That will be next time...

Fisher Cat Creek was a great spot to relax and disconnect. Thank you to David and Veronica for the hospitality, the cabin was very comfortable and cozy. Everything was very clean and ready to go (having a little dog that sticks his little nose on everything we appreciate how tidy everything was). We had a couple of rainy nights but there was plenty of dry firewood to cook on the stove inside. We spent a lot of time reading on the couch with the sound of the rain and Archie had a great time while we explored the surrounding woods, definitely recommend going on a hike!!
David and Veronica have thought of everything we could have needed, kitchen has literally all the utensils, beds were clean and comfy, plenty of firewood and drinking water, T.P., BBQ setup, lots of books and boardgames, plus the long dog tie out leash already set up was perfect! It was so comfortable we could have stayed way longer. What a cool place, very thoughtfully designed and built! Can’t wait to come back some other time!

This place would be great for spring, fall and winter. Summer (we went in August) was a bit rough due to the heat and spiders inside the place. Make sure to bring headlamps as even with sunlight it's dark inside, and something to cook your food!

The cabin at Fisher Cat Creek was absolutely precious for a solo retreat. The design of it was so beautifully done in every aspect. Water, blankets, and utensils are provided, which was awesome! My favorite amenity, though, was the egg-shaped porch swing (Second only to the library of books to choose from). My trip made for an excellent couple days of pure relaxation and reading/writing while the rain poured down. I stayed cozy and felt like I could give my brain a break from daily life. Thank you thank you thank you!

Great retreat spot. Wake up with the birds and end the day with the fireflies. The cabin is so thoughtfully built and very comfortable. Enjoyed my time there very much.

Veronica and Dave’s Cabin was so aesthetically pleasing and cozy to live in for a few days. They were extremely hospitable and friendly upon arrival.
We were there in late January during some cold weather, and even in negative temps at some points, but the wood stove heated the cabin well.
We feel very relaxed after this trip, and we would certainly recommend it to people that love nature and living simply.

We loved this little cabin so much that we booked a summer stay on the drive home! The details are amazing and you can tell the owners put a lot of love and care into the space. The sauna was lovely, the beds were comfortable, and the kitchen is pretty well equipped - we can’t wait to be back. Note that there is no electricity at this site, but plenty of lanterns / solar lights are provided. A headlamp helps!

This cabin is a special hidden gem that kept my boyfriend and I warm and cozy during the cold winter night! The design of the cabin is beautiful and the decorations are so cute. Veronica is an amazing host and made sure we had everything we needed. We will definitely be back in the future!

This place is really nice! The cabin has wood burning stove that although could get smoky, was a much appreciated touch. We didn't get a chance to do as much as expected but we only stayed 1 night. Maybe we can come back when it's a little warmer. The sauna was nice too. Outhouse provided us with a true camping experience. We are novice campers who love being outdoors. Thank you very much for the wood provided for our fires, would definitely recommend this place to anyone interested in a cool little getaway

We had a great time at the cabin! We didn’t cook but it looked like they had everything you could need for cooking! It was a cold night and the wood stove kept us warm and cozy.

We had an amazing stay at their cabin! Very peaceful property, and the cabin is private even though their main house is visible from there. Beautiful craftmanship on the dry cabin with a wood stove and solar lighting. We cooked breakfast on a fire outside in the morning:) Wish we could’ve stayed longer!

The cabin is in a beautiful wooded location. It is peaceful, very rustic and a great getaway if you are looking to disconnect and unwind. Veronica and Dave are very friendly and helpful. .

The site was on the owners property but secluded. We were not aware the parking was off site. The only way to get your belongings on the site was with a wagon that they provided. We were made aware on arrival that the grass hadn't been cut in many weeks and the trail from the parking to the site was also not cut; we got lost in the dark and had to turn back around. At this point it was very dark by the time we got back to the parking area we just decided to pack up and head home that same night. The hosts were friendly, the site itself was just not as anticipated.

My sisters and I stayed at this beautiful off grid cabin for a weekend and it truly was a magical experience. We were able to connect with nature and take a break from our busy lives. We had a phrase that stuck with us from the weekend and it was “disconnecting to reconnect” we feel like our stay really embodied this message. We disconnected with the world and our fast pace lives and in the end we truly reconnected with ourselves, nature, each other, and the things that really matter in life. David and Veronica were amazing hosts and we fell in love with their sustainable way of living. They were extremely accommodating and answered all of our crazy questions! We really enjoyed getting to know them and how they are able to live such a simple but fulfilling life! I 10000% recommend coming here for a couple days to disconnect to reconnect. We will definitely be coming back in the spring or summer to see the beautiful land and creek when it’s all green and colorful!

We had a great time at the cabin. They had everything we needed and Osseo was super close when we needed supplies. The cabin was a great home-base to check out nearby sites like Dells Mill and Big Rock falls. We decided to save some spots for next trip because we enjoyed relaxing at the cabin so much! Veronica was very friendly and greeted us as we got in. She’s there for assistance and to answer questions, but we had everything we needed. Would love to come back during the colder months to try the sauna!

This place is pretty magical. The cabin is one-of-a-kind, the owners are extremely friendly (with an amazing story,) and the trails around the site were fun to wander through.
We plan on returning for another visit as soon as we can.

Fun corner of Wisconsin, totally quiet from road noise late at night, cool spot. Dave and Veronica are friendly hosts, eager to have others also enjoying their little slice of paradise. Cabin is along same driveway as hosts' houses, but there was still plenty of a sense of privacy.
