Red Cedar Glamping

The site felt private and mystical, as it’s buried back into the trees. There were a few short walks taking people to different parts of the bluff where the river and wildlife can be watched and heard. The tent itself was clean and the bed was very comfortable, with overstuffed blankets and beautiful bedding. We didn’t try the sauna but I imagine that, how it’s situated, colder trips would be well treated by using it. Kelli met me when I arrived and was very gracious and generous with various this I asked about.

Mixed feelings

We had a great time at wadi. The tent was cute and comfortable, the grounds were great. We rented the e-bikes and had a great afternoon exploring the area. The only critique we had is that the two tents are a little close together and made it a little less private than we anticipated. Overall a great time and a great place!!

Quiet, Cozy Getaway

We had a wonderful stay at the Oxbow tent! The two tents were spaced out enough that it felt private, the bed was very comfortable, and it was very peaceful weekend getaway! We had unseasonably warm weather for mid-October, but the first night did dip into the 40s. We stayed plenty warm under the cozy covers! It's not too far of a walk from the parking area, and the two trails were short but had beautiful views of the river. The port-a-potty was clean, which is always a plus! We're normally tent campers, but were looking for something a little different for fall break - this place fit the bill!

I love how secluded this place is! We stayed 3 nights during the best week with weather in the 70s during the day and 40-50s at night. There were barely any mosquitoes. And we had the area to ourselves. The porta potty is located by the parking along with the firewood. But everything was within walking proximity. The view overlooking the river was beautiful especially at sunset. Since it's migration season, we saw a few different birds and wish we brought binoculars. My husband swears he spotted a bat flying along the river during the night! This was our first glamping experience and sleeping in a normal bed within the tent was so nice! The sounds of nature at night was the perfect white noise from the sounds of cars. We even heard barred owls having conversations from different trees. There was a really cute mouse who loved to scurry along the rooftop of the tent in the middle of the night. The electric bikes were definitely is a must during the 17 mile ride to the brewery and back. I don't think I could of peddled the whole time! The only item I wish was present was a picnic table. We made due with the surfaces we had, but a table would of been nice. Otherwise, the tent was clean and comfortable. Dain and Kelli were available at all times and reached out every so often.

The land was absolutely spectacular! Beautiful, wooded tent sites, bluffs, the river and only a mile from a state trail for biking. Renting the electric bikes was a game changer! The outhouse was clean and accommodations were comfy and clean.

River serenity & comfort zen den.

Oxbow was everything as advertised and more! The bed was super comfortable and the tent was spacious. It rained and we kept totally dry, it was very soothing. The trails were well maintained with fire pits at both, to soak up an amazing river view with water sounds and cricket symphonies! Fire wood at the ready. Easy to find in the dark with inviting solar lights. Hosts were friendly and accommodating. Can wait to come back.

The hosts at Red Cedar Glamping are absolutely amazing! They are beyond accommodating and have put a lot of noticeable effort into making sure the camp sites are comfortable for their guests. The bed itself may be more comfortable than my bed at home, and the views from the look out spot are gorgeous. I will for sure be coming back. Truly I can’t say enough good things about this spot and the people who run it. Definitely worth a stay!

Great stay and Amazing view

We loved camping at the Wadi site on Dain’s land. You drive in passes their house, park, and bring the provided wagon to your site. There was another site nearby but otherwise it was private. We loved the short hike just passed our site to a bluff and river overlook. We sat in the two Adirondack chairs provided and watched the sunset. The toilet is a bit of a distance from the site, but it’s camping, so it is to be expected. There was water provided along with wood, a lighter, and a very comfortable bed and outdoor strung lights. It was very cute. We would come back and it would be fun to come with another couple with each staying at one of their sites. We enjoyed the nearby town of Downsville. The Scatterbrained coffee shop had breakfast and great drinks. There is access to the Cedar River Trail from town. Plenty to do and explore nearby.

The Glamping tent was just like a bedroom in the middle of the woods. A comfy bed with more windows than my room at home has! Walking trails leading to 3 separate river views made for great quick adventures. Although I think my favorite part was cooking 4 of my meals over the fire ring; the natural flame under a cast iron pan is the only seasoning my food needs.

Red Cedar Glamping in a unique experience. The whole canvas tent with a bed aesthetic and how accommodating the hosts were, to the trails, and the views... definitely would come back here.

GREAT stay!

It was a FANTASTIC stay!!! We had a great storm our last night and the tent was 1100% dry and secure. It was a comfortable stay and a great way to escape the busy day to day.

The actual campsite was really beautiful and thoughtfully laid out. Lots of great spots for hammocking. We loved the little trails leading to fantastic views of the river! There was an issue with the lights at our tent but Dain came out even though it was later in the evening and helped resolve things. The hosts were extremely nice and provided plenty of firewood and blankets. Great getaway for if you don’t feel like pitching your own tent but know that since it’s by a river, it can get a little buggy :)

The three trails were nice for short strolls. The tent was beautiful and it was a nice setting in the woods. Dain was very helpful and gave us extra firewood. I would try stay during a warmer season as we brought our heater.

This stay is an absolute gem! The tent was extremely cozy (even in 30 degree weather). Firewood and fire starters were provided which was great, and the trails on the property lead to some beautiful river views. Dain was a wonderful host and responded to all our questions immediately.

Fantastic site with close viewpoint

This was such a great experience! The site was very well maintained and was very close to some great lookout points. Dain was incredibly accommodating and very responsive with any messages sent. 5/5 stars for sure. If you’re looking to do some glamping then look no further!

Easy, Kind, and Accessible

My partner and I loved our stay at Red Cedar in the Oxbow tent!!! Dain was super helpful and accommodating! My partner and I were heading home from a memorial gathering and didn't get in till after midnight and it was easy to find the tent in the dark and Dain was extremely communicative! The tent was spotless, the linens fresh, and even though it got cold we had plenty of blankets provided!!

Pretty fancy for camping!

It was raining when we arrived, which made the novelty of not having to set up a tent extra handy! The linens were spotless, the bed was beautifully made, the water was fresh, and the lights were so pretty! Oh, and the view of the river was breathtaking! We enjoyed a fire with the provided firewood.
