Wilderness inspired campground specializing in hike-in rustic glamping, treehouse cabins and outfitting. Located on Whiskey Hill in the Whitewater River Valley near the town of Elba, MN. The cabins are easy to access with close parking. The hike-in rustic glamping sites offer a rugged backpacking like experience with spacious, secluded sites, creature comforts for a good night's sleep and no equipment required, all designed to immerse guests in the surrounding woodland. The land was used for personal recreation for several years. I've spent countless hours hiking and enjoying observing the seasons, plants, fungus and animals. The vision of a campground was inspired by many camping and backcountry spots throughout the United States, all of the amazing things in the woods, the beautiful blufftop valley views, proximity to a multitude of outdoor activities and adventures.

Thankyouuuu so much for the wonderful stay. If you are looking for somewhere to stay close to state parks and other places this is the one. The amenities were in perfect condition and the host was extremely responsive and kind. My only qualm it was so close to roads and didn’t feel fully immersed in nature. For the price it was a little expensive for the size of the place but we fully enjoyed our stay. Thanks again! May

The pictures in the listing do not do it justice - this place was SO CUTE and cozy. We had cabin #3 and it was right next to the showers/bathrooms which was so convenient. These cabins are perfect for a winter get away! Watching the first snow of the year come down while comfy on the porch was incredible! It is close to the road, but the traffic generally sounds far off and ambient in the background. The cabins are warm, the bunk beds are fun even if you’re grown ups, and the windows on the ceiling are incredible for watching snowfall. The hiking around this area is incredible! We really appreciated the quick response and availability of a cabin short notice. Another place had double booked and cancelled our booking a few days before our intended night away and Chelsi really came through and saved our Thanksgiving week!

Outdoor Bed Hike-in Camp - Celtis
Most luxurious hike-in site I’ve stayed at for sure! I stayed at Celtis on top of the bluff at the very end. Was happy I did because in late fall, there didn’t look to be much privacy at the other sites. Celtis was awesome and the bed was super comfortable too. The structure with the screen and tarps worked great for letting in some airflow if unzipped or none if zipped up. A table with 4 chairs, firepit, and the perfectly-spaced trees for a hammock made this site really great. Be prepared for a very steep (but short) hike up. Bathrooms with toilets, running water, and showers at the bottom near the cabins were a nice touch too.

This was a fun experience! My kids loved the hike up, the tent, and our own area for games and a fire. They also enjoyed the community area and the fantastic views. Chelsi was such an excellent and accommodating host. We will be back!

Hike-in Blufftop Campsite
This site had everything we needed. Chelsi was quick to communicate when any we had any questions. Once you make it up that hike to the campsite, the views and quietness are worth it. The views of the stars at night are also some of the best I’ve seen.

We enjoyed our one night stay! The hill to get to the hike-in sites might be steep, but it's worth it. We appreciated the tent structure and bedding that was provided. Less gear to pack on our motorcycle trip. Slept great and enjoy our time at Ostraya.

Nestled quietly in the bluffs in southeastern MN. An unforgettable trip! Amenities and needs provided as described. Conveniently located close to Whitewater State Park. Chelsi was a sweet and attentive host who was quick to respond to any questions we had. The hike in was impressive, very steep, but absolutely worth it to camp on top of the bluff with the views. Best to pack as much as you can in one trip up. The nature songs were perfect. Also, loved the crocheted mushroom art around the top of the bluff. Loved the backpacking experience to our camp. Every part about this camp is well kept and maintained beautifully. We will be back again!

We loved the set up, here! They thought of pretty much everything! It was pretty great having a star gazing spot and the community area was covered which was really handy when we experienced a slight rain. It is, however, right near the town and Friday night we could hear electronic music most of the evening, so if you are truly looking for a place without any sign of humanity around, this may not be the place for you. We would definitely stay again!

Serene getaway, convenient and wild

This was a really cool place to camp out. My wife and stayed for one night and had a great experience. Water station and showers at the bottom which were clean. It was a short and steep hike up to the glamping tent, which was very spacious. Firewood was there for us and there was also a barbecue nearby. We grilled out and then started a fire later to hang out. Once it got dark we went over to the community tent area (we happened to be the only ones that night) and could see all the stars and the milky way. It was beautiful. Would definitely love to come back next time!

It was a cool campground but just not for us. The accommodations were exactly as described. Communication with the host was great. It would have been beneficial if the wood bundles we ordered could have been brought to the site.

Was a great camp site. Bit of a steep hike up but worth it. Bath rooms were nice and clean. The screened in bed was great in the rain storm the only negative would be could use maybe a couple well placed sections of privacy fence just to block the view of the bed from the path

Hike-in Blufftop Campsite
This site was an amazing place to vacation. The area was beautiful, private, and mosquito free. It was not crowded and the bathrooms and outhouses were exceptionally clean. They also had community activities that made our camping experience extra special, especially the daily free painting classes taught by a local artist. I came with three young kids and the daily class was definitely something they looked forward to every day. Not sure if that's a regular thing, though, since we went during Memorial Day weekend. A word of warning, however. The hike-in camp site is intense. Once we had all our stuff set up the daily walk wasn't so bad, but bringing up our tent and gear that first day was a heavy burden. We are reasonably fit young people, and I would probably go back even so, but I think the steepness and length of the hike would definitely be prohibitive for some. I suggested to the camp manager that they provide some kind of initial service to ATV campers' stuff up the ridge so I hope they look into that. Other than that, absolutely fantastic site.

We had a wonderful family weekend in Cabin #3! The kids especially enjoyed the hammock chairs underneath the cabin. The inside was thoughtfully designed and very comfortable, and having a mini fridge and microwave was a nice bonus. The bathrooms were very clean and convenient, too. Chelsi was very responsive and friendly - a great host. We'll definitely be back for another stay!

We loved camping at Chelsi's land! The hike in is steep, but totally worth it. The group camp and star gazing areas were top notch and the area was well marked. If you need anything from town, it's just a quick drive away. We definitely recommend the Elba House Coffee and Spirits for breakfast. The hiking is great at Whitewater State Park, which is also just minutes away. We would definitely come again!

This place was absolutely wonderful. It was a fabulous experience with my two daughters. It is definitely a hike up the bluff but well worth it. The area is well mapped out and communication via email/text with the host was excellent. Definitely will be back!
