We absolutely loved our weekend here! The Mellow Yellow site was beautiful and surrounded by what felt like a sea of yellow wildflowers. It was incredibly peaceful, private, and exactly the kind of place you go when you want to unplug for a few days.
We spent the weekend watching wildlife, exploring the creek, sitting around the fire, and attempting to catch trout off a bridge just down from the site who apparently had absolutely no interest in anything we brought them. 😂 Even without the fish cooperating, being right by the creek was one of our favorite parts.
It was such a relaxing place to slow down and spend time together as a family. We booked our next stay before leaving. If you love quiet campsites, nature, wildlife, and being away from the usual crowded campground atmosphere, this place is a gem. ❤️🌿🏕️
Great location for a family camping trip. The creek and the woods were great for little kids to explore. The cabin and porch provided good coverage in the rain. The wagon for hauling stuff to the cabin was a lifesaver! The only downside was we heard a lot of road noise one evening. (motorcycle ride)

Beautiful spot! The trek is a little long but as long as you’re capable to walk, it’s a nice little walk down! Gorgeous little spot with a wonderful host! 😊
This campsite exceeded our expectations. Very clean and quiet. The wagon was so helpful for transporting our gear. We had so much fun floating in our tubes on the creek. The water was crystal clear and we saw lots of wildlife. Couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful view!

Access to Woods, trails, water, birding, fishing, the list continues endlessly.

This was the most beautiful campsite I have ever stayed at. Simply a dream. Two large flat shaded areas for tents and a beautiful creek to swim in. Absolutely wonderful.
Private, cozy and safe. Great firepit with rocks around it and benches. Cats come out at night. No mosquitos or ticks ( july 20-22). The creek is clean we drank from it with a sawyer filter. It is knee high deep so no risk of drowning for older kids. Walking paths. Fire wood and Loo available at entrance. 15 min drive into Red Wing WalMart for supplies. Will come back and tell friends about it.

Very private and clean. Lots of shade however picnic table could be put in shade. Loved the shallow creek to wash dishes and walking path. Very peaceful. Cats come out at night so put food away.
Definitely One of the Best Locations. Just be Prepared to Cross a Stream with A Decent Current, and Hauling All Gear/Supplies up a A Steep Hill to get to the Cabin.
Not an issue for Husband, Myself and Our FurBaby, as It was Pleasant to Walk through the Cold Stream to Cool Off! Especially with the Early Unexpected Hot Weather…A Huge Bonus:)
My kids and I had a magical and memorable two nights in the Green Canopy Cabin. Crossing the creek was an adventure for sure, and a source of fun for us! The cabin was great to have, especially as we had rain both nights. Highlights for us included: fireflies at night, nearby woodpeckers, playing in the creek, and the lush green ambiance. We picked this spot for its proximity to the Twin Cities (one hour) and nearby attractions -- Red Wing & Wabasha. It served us well!
We loved our unplugged time here. The creek is clear and cool and great for kids to swim shallow enough to walk or swim for our kids who are 6,7,9,11. We did see lots of northern water snakes. The outhouse and cabin are well maintained. This is the best spot over all of the sites. Overall enjoyed our time and would stay again.
I loved tent camping at the Mellow Yellow campsite! The views were beautiful and directions were clear. There are 3 campsites in total on the land but they are all secluded enough where you won’t be able to see them and they are far enough apart where they aren’t too loud. We had a great time!
Beautiful, private spot on the creek. I was able to hang my hammock and had a wonderful sleep. I have never seen so many fireflies. It was actually quite magical.

A really beautiful spot! We loved it. It rained, but it was still fun and cozy in the cabin. We loved exploring the creek and land when it wasn’t raining.

Green Canopy Cabin
We loved our stay at Belle Creek Bluff Green Canopy Cabin! One of the highlights was being able to let our dogs roam off leash—they had an absolute blast exploring and playing in the creek and running through the trails. The creek crossing added a fun sense of adventure to our weekend and made the experience feel even more unique.
The cabin was a great base for exploring the area. We also had dinner at the nearby Cannon River Inn, which was just a short drive away, and the burgers were excellent. Overall, it was a relaxing, dog-friendly getaway with just the right amount of outdoor adventure. We would definitely stay again!

The campsite was beautiful, secluded, right on the creek, clean and spacious. Be prepared that it is a true walk in, but so worth it.

We LOVED this little spot. It does say that there’s a toilet but the only one we found was an out house across the creek. The toilet is the only down side to this place. It was very private and quiet we will definitely stay again soon if we can find the availability.
We had a short and relaxing girls weekend at the Green Canopy Cabin. Crossing the creek was so much fun. The cabin was perfect and the property was so beautiful!
The campsite was perfect for biking on the Cannon Valley trail within 100 yards from the entrance. My favorite part was taking a cold plunge in the creek after biking.
We will be back (for sure)

The green cabin was the perfect retreat for our family (2 kids + 2 dogs). The creek crossing plus the hike up the hill was a little bit of work to get all the gear across, but well worth it for the spacious and private site. Water was a little high early in the season so water shoes or wet boots were a must. All round very memorable trip.
Very nice private site(s). Nice large open camping area very near waters edge. It would have been nice if the other site would have returned the cart instead of selfishly keeping it at their site all weekend- fortunately I had my own. The road noise from the 4 wheelers, side bys, and motorcyclists who like to share their music with everyone within 100 yards is less than peaceful. But thankfully not too often.
A Gem, easy to access and beautiful spot to camp. Went memorial day weekend: no biting bugs, carts were available for us, and firewood was available for purchase.
Bring your own lugaloo/toilet.
Close enough to travel into town for supplies and to explore nearby hikes. Lots of pretty birds and animals <3
Overall amazing site. River is clear, secluded and beautiful. Only downside I would say is that the main front door doesn’t lock. Although the screen door does it was definitely a worry through the night. Great service. Great price. Love this place so much and we had a blast!

Excellent camping spot. It was so quiet and the area is beautiful. One of the nicer places I have camped recently and I would recommend to anyone.
Everything was amazing about this space. The privacy was unmatched. The amount of hiking trails, the view, the creek. We had a blast and can’t wait to return. Our beagle boy loved all the places to run!
Such a beautiful location, we felt so secluded! We saw deer, an eagle and a little downy woodpecker gave us a show on a tree just outside the screened in porch which was a favorite spot for our morning coffee and to listen to the rain. So peaceful .
The water crossing was indeed a challenge with glacier cold water I decided to take a wrong step on a slippery rock and do a face plant in the cold water!
With pretty much only my pride hurt (and a video my hubby happened to be taking of me at the time) it definitely made a memorable trip!
We would definitely come back! And I were not to step now! ;)
