My family and I really enjoyed our site. My labradors especially loved being right on Prairie Creek. There’s a bunch of trails to access from the property which was awesome. The sites were well maintained and having a cart to bring our gear back was a great surprise. I would recommend this to anyone.

This campsite was amazing! 5min off the road but completely surrounded by woods. Could hear owls and coyotes at night. Easy access to Caron Park and the waterfall next door. The campsite was clean and taken care of and Stephen was very friendly. Definitely coming again!

Beautiful farm near the Twin Cities with a great auto site. We needed to try our RTT before a trip out west and decided this was a perfect spot to give it a try. Only about a mile from the Gateway trail and a speedy 25 mile RT bike ride to downtown Stillwater for breakfast on a patio. Really a great option if you are looking to avoid crowds and noise at a public campground.

Weekend Trip to Gossman Goat Ranch

Cathy and her family were a wonderful host to us. The cabin (hand built by them!) is very comfortable and well/insulated. The forest surrounding the property is beautiful with lots of walking areas. Their kids showed us around the farm and it was so fun to watch how well they care for their animals. The goats were friendly and a highlight of the trip. We would love to visit again and recommend this location to anyone wanting a getaway camping experience.

This was such a great stay! The hosts were incredibly friendly and welcoming — they made me feel comfortable right away and clearly take pride in offering a great experience. The site felt safe and peaceful, which is huge for me when camping solo. Everything was clean and thoughtfully set up — from the amenities to the layout of the site, it’s clear a lot of care went into making sure guests have what they need. The trails on the property were well-kept and easy to explore, which made for a great bonus during my stay. I’m already looking forward to coming back, and I’ll definitely be recommending this spot to friends. Thanks again for an awesome getaway!

Weekend Trip to Stone Creek Farm

I was looking for a first solo camping experience and found Dan's Stone Creek Farm on this site. I was not disappointed! The reality matched the beautiful photos and it probably helped that I also happened to be there in spectacular weather - very warm during the day and pretty cool at night. Upon arrival, I was greeted by a friendly and smiling Dan and a flock of adorable chickens. Dan is a wonderful and attentive host and I can't recommend a stay at his place highly enough. For this gal (I am 69), it was quite a physical challenge to cart all of my things into the campsite (four trips!), but very much worth it! For a person more fit and perhaps a little younger, you may not even blink an eye. I camped at the Plum Perfect site, which is very cozy and private. The tent is spacious. The fire ring had a grill nearby. The entire property itself is absolutely beautiful and Dan does a wonderful job of having mixed plantings of lovely flowers planted here and there, along with his business of growing various stone fruits. You won't be disappointed by the rugged beauty of the campsites and Dan's warm and thoughtful conversations. I hope to return in the fall, if I can wait that long!

I stayed at mellow yellow and it was perfect! It was super not buggy as outdoor goes, but its outside so of course there are in fact bugs. My dogs and my 3 yo loved the creek and had plenty of room to run around and have fun. I was alone with my young child and 2 dogs and felt very safe here. The creek was a bit up so we had plenty to play with and the sounds of the night were amazing. I really couldn't have asked for a better camping spot!

Dan was SO welcoming and kind! The entire farm was gorgeous and filled with love, from the orchards to the campsites and beyond. Dan is eager to make you feel at home and does everything he can to make sure you have whatever you need. He even let me use his WiFi when I needed to take a business call. The campsite was easy to find with an mostly flat, mowed path. The site was quiet and personal, with everything one could think of: our own compostable toilet, a grill, fire pit, garbage & recycling cans, a picnic basket, and a sturdy box to keep your foodstuffs safe. I can't wait to go back, I feel like I found a little slice of paradise just an hour away ❤️ thank you Dan!!!!!!!

Camp Palustria is on the edge of a beautiful marsh within 75 feet of a trout stream. It is about 1000ft off of the Superior Hiking Trail. The campsite is primitive which includes fire pit with grill, table, and composting outhouse. The site is about a 600ft hike from the road where you'll park. The first 400ft of the trail is a swamp with a simple elevated boardwalk through most of it. 95% of the time is it passable with hiking boats or street shoes, but there might be some muddy spots. About the property: Trembling Gardens is my 10 acre swamp camp paradise in the rural suburb of Rice Lake. Hello 2025, Camping Season is Here! Pitch your tent at one of our Walk-In campsites on 60 acres of forest or hilltop prairie along Prairie Creek in Rice County, MN. Explore the creeks, trails, forest, our enormous granite "split rock", a 60 acre county park featuring waterfalls and trails, including a single track mountain bike trail. That's 120 acres of exploring outside your tent; this campground truly offers a large amount of remote forest for recreation right on site. Big Woods State Park is less than 2 miles away. Faribault is 8 miles and Northfield is 9 miles from our driveway; they offer dining, boutiques, and all other amenities. Nerstrand is 4.5 miles east and has a gas station and a fantastic meat market. Numerous Cannon River put-ins are within 10 miles. Vehicles: Our main parking area by sites 1, 2, & 3 is easily accessible. The road to the secondary parking area beside site 4 is up a steep gravel road (but it is accessible). We do not have firewood available at the campground; please plan ahead to bring firewood with you. Sites are priced for one tent, please let us know if you need to have more than one tent. Kids under 16 camping with their parents do not count in pricing. A map of the land is in the photos and shows locations of sites, parking and more. All Sites are Walk-In! We have a cart you may use to haul gear in. This campground is managed by Stephen and Molly on land owned by them and their father Ted. In 1961, Ted's parents bought this farm. In addition to farming they also operated a trail riding stable here. Over the years, the arable land has been sold, but we retained the wooded areas which are twice crossed by creeks. Welcome ; Located in southeast Minnesota's Driftless region of hills, valleys, fields and forests, we are a grass based working dairy farm with over 100 acres of woodland, including an extensive trail system and campsites in our wooded acres. What makes this woodland special is it's quiet, secluded setting and over 6 miles of hiking / skiing trails. Our farmstead sits three quarter of a mile off the paved county highway on our well maintained gravel driveway. Each of our campsites are secluded from the others with their own sawdust compost toilets, picnic tables, fireplaces, and firewood. Two of our sites require 4WD with a minimum of 6 inches ground clearance to access, and two are accessible with 2WD. If you do not have 4WD we can help transport your gear while you enjoy the walk in. There are plenty of woodland birds, deer, turkeys, raccoons and squirrels sharing the woods with you. At night it is common for owls to visit the campsite area to say hello, and coyotes talking in the distance. The winding trails through 100 acres of woodland offer a variety of woodland habitats, from Old growth Maple to mixed hardwood, to dense brush, to the edges of open pastureland. Bring your fat bike or mountain bike for an enjoyable ride. For winter users there is a mix of easy, moderate, and challenging winter cross country skiing or snowshoeing / hiking on the property. However the Rock Bottom Cabin is our only heated and insulated site and is available for winter booking. Winter access is walk in only with snow on the ground or in the forecast. We can help transport gear. This property is part of a working pasture-based dairy farm and guided tours of the dairy and cattle are available when scheduling allows. Children 12 and younger are free at our campsites. No need to be counted as guests , but please let us know when requesting to book. We do not allow non-booked visitors to our campsites due to the secluded, remote location, and accessibility.

This property has 4 camp spots. Sites 1 and 4 have a boat landing. All sites have shades trees that can hold hammocks. All sites are right next to the lake. Site 3 has a dock that all can use. There is excellent swimming with a sandy bottom at the south end of the lake. The lake is stocked with perch in 2024 but has walleye, northern, bass as well. It is also close to many lakes that are good for fishing. I have a 14' fishing boat with trolling motor, a paddle boat, 2 kayaks, and canoe for campers to use for free. Firewood is available for $5/day. There is some hiking on the property and much near by. Biking is also good with small lakes nearby to visit. The camping here is very peaceful with wonderful views and the wildlife is awesome! 120 volt power is at all sites and 220 can reach sites 2 and 3. There is warm showers and flushing toilets. Also all sites are drive through on hard ground grass. Grates are provided for cooking over the fire. There is Wi-Fi internet that reaches sites 1-3

The Oaks at Oakwood Farm

We are also 3 mins from lake george and the Rum River Regional Park for swimming, biking, fishing, boating, and more paddling. There is a Bills gas n grocery as well as a G-will liquors less than a minute from the property. The Ponds golf course is about 4 mins away as well. If you are looking to hit downtown Anoka that is a straight shot and approx 12 mins away. This site is on an active hobby farm that has dogs, cats, horses, chickens, goats, turkeys, and multiple gardens. We have a farm stand by the road where we sell items such as fresh roasted coffee, eggs, BBQ sauce, pickles, maple syrup, hot sauce, and more! We are very pet friendly and like to meet new furry faces, so feel free to bring them along!

We have a nice, fully private outdoor shower with hot water available for $2.50/shower. Guests can pay on-site via our posted QR codes or cash box. We have Nigerian dwarf goats, chickens, and geese. We also have several apple trees, cherries, and elderberries. We're also available for other events like birthday parties, intimate weddings, and group gatherings at our gazebo and/or 20ft x 40ft party tent. Mended Tree Drive

Sometimes we have wood, but when we do not- there is DNR approved stuff available at the bait shop just a couple blocks down. The gas grill on the patio is available for guest use as well. Like firewood, I usually have some propane in the tank but not always! There is a Kwik Trip a few blocks down where you can exchange the tank that's here, or you're welcome to bring your own. My yard can be a bit lumpy in certain places, but has plenty of space for tent(s) if you need additional sleeping space. Parking is available in the drive or on the street. Additional parking space can sometimes be made available if you would prefer off street parking for your vehicle. Pets are welcome, but they must be dog friendly! A small and VERY friendly French Bulldog owns the place and will make himself known as he would love to say hi to you and/or your dog loving critter(s). Please make me aware if you have any concerns and I can try to accommodate. The house next door is abandoned and acts as a green screen in the summertime creating a decent amount of privacy! We can (and will) often be found out in the yard and/or the garden most evenings and on weekends, but can (and will) try to mind our own business if you prefer! The camper you see is mine. I have hopes of renovating it for guest use, but you can rest assured noone will be staying in it while you're here. Later in the year, our garden may provide food. If this is the case while you're here- you are always welcome to pick some as usually there is an abundance!

The Hamlet Lake Homestead

The Hamlet Lake homestead is our 10-acre family home with two unique and private hip-camp sites. The Hamlet Lake Bunkhouse is located to the west of our home in its own secluded parcel next to the lake. The Camp on Hamlet Hill is to the north of our home, on a remote flat hill at the top of our property, on a hill over Cedar brook. with 300-acre, (private) Hamlet Lake in front, and the wide portion of the 20-mile Cedar brook in the back. We are a large "homesteading" family, with chickens, ducks, and a garden. The campsite is a private 1/2 acre clearing, surrounded by woods with a firepit, grill, cooking utensils, and an outhouse. (Tents are available for a small additional cost). There is an outdoor water pump below the hill. Guests can access the waterfront and beach in front, with the use of the swim raft, lily pad, fishing dock, canoe, kayak, and paddle boards included. At nearly 100 feet deep, Hamlet lake also boasts excellent fishing. Our home is located 6 miles from Crosby, with the world-class Cuyuna Lakes 50-mile mountain bike trail system. Crosby is a growing tourist town with many new and unique restaurants, outdoor adventures, and shopping opportunities. The paved bike trail begins 3.5 north of us. Milacs lake is 10 miles to the south.
