This cabin is perfect for a nature lover who prefers a bed and a warm shower. The kitchen was stocked, the beds comfortable, and the bathroom dreamy. The girls weekend was positively divine. We will be back!!

Absolutely Beautiful!!! We rented the cabin for an Anniversary getaway. We loved the fact there was no TV and the only clock was on the stove. Had a fantastic stay and will definitely go again. Probably invite friends next time as there is plenty of room and beds.

The cabin is clean and cozy. The kitchen has everything you need - you don't need to bring any pans or cooking utensils. Important note: the description says that the bunk is a twin bunk. It is not. It is two full-sized beds (not queens), bunked one on top of the other. There is another bed in the other room which is a twin. The kitchen and bathroom have separate heating that was very warm. The main sleeping/living/dining room has baseboard heating and the wood stove, and that room was a little harder to get warm - bring warm blankets and sleeping clothes. It was very quiet, not many homes on the lake, and the cabin is far enough off the main road that we couldn't see or hear cars. We were able to find the cabin easily from the directions. We wished it was closer to hiking trails; like a lot of the state forests in that area it seemed that a lot of the trails are for ATVs or snowmobiles. But we will keep looking. We did get snow while we were there and got out on the lake in snowshoes which was wonderful.

Perfect combination of rustic cabin with luxurious creature comforts. We loved the main cabin for relaxing around the wood stove, but we also loved the luxurious modern bathroom. We will be back!

Harvest Loon Camp is a very secluded cabin that was perfect to disconnect for a short weekend. It is a nice mix of a rustic atmosphere with some modern amenities. We even had some decent cell service. We spent of our time hiking the nearby trails and catching up on our reading. Our German Shepherd spent most of her time napping and keeping warm by the wood fire stove. Thank you for a great getaway!

We had a great time here! We were really impressed by all of the upgrades that have been made, while still keeping the original charm of the cabin. The wood-burning stove in the main room was a highlight and a cozy way to keep warm all weekend. We will return next year, maybe to watch the leaves change. Thank you for a lovely stay!

We fell in love with this place! Charming and perfect balance of rustic and modern touches. We loved spending time at the fire pit outside and also chatting around the wood stove inside. The kitchen is well equipped and the added bathroom is great too. We loved reading about the history and comparing the old photos to what it looks like now. We want to come back every season!!

I'm hesitant to even write this review because I want to keep the place to myself, but this may be the single greatest cabin I've ever stayed at. Has more than anything you could ask for. Incredible views. Secluded. You won't want to leave.

Wow! This was such a great rental cabin at a great price! Beautiful, historic cabin with all the rustic charm plus lots of amenities make this a great getaway! 3/4 luxury bath, screened in porch, wooden swing by stone fire pit with tons of wood, full kitchen, lots of games and puzzles, 2 kayaks, steps away from a secluded lake, wood stove, several large beds with lots of bedding and pillows. We had such a great weekend with our 3 young children. Can't wait to come back in another season!

This is one of the most beautiful and amazing cabins Iāve ever stayed in. Itās so well maintained and it was fun reading the history of the cabin and seeing some of the old pictures was fun. The property was really nice and secluded. Will definitely be coming back!

The host definitely has taken feedback seriously and continues to improve the property (just look at images uploaded). As a primitive (tent) camper, I found the cabin extremely comfortable and well supplied. We walked the dogs on the road along the lake, enjoyed the night sky, and indulged in the sounds of the lake and its surroundings. Had to travel a bit to get to touristy stuff (like Lake Leech or the Judy Garland Museum), but what a good location to see the variation in landscapes.

Great cabin and very private setting. Great way to spend a quiet weekend with the kids. We had nice fires and did some kayaking. Also enjoyed some hobo dinners and some nighttime board games. No complaints and many nice amenities.

What a wonderful, peaceful getaway! From the lovely soft lighting in the cabin to the quirky games, books and activities, to the variety of outdoor amenities (lakefront, bench swing, kayaks, fire pit, etc.) there is enough to entertain and engross while you relax under towering pines & enjoy an authentic north woods experience. Robert was a great host and we could not recommend Harvest Loon Cabin any more highly.

We really enjoyed our stay. 2 nights/ 3 days was the perfect get away for us. I spent many years in the Emily area as a young man, and it was nice to share the area with my wife. Robert really has a nice cozy place. Lots of games for indoor and outdoor fun. We loved the screened in porch and the new addition was wonderful. We hope to stay again in the future. Thank you Robert, for sharing your cabin with us. The lake and wildlife were amazing!

Everything was clean and set up great! The cabin is in a nice wooded area and the bugs arenāt too bad during the day. We had a small problem after first arriving but Robert responded promptly and handled the situation very well! I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to camp but still likes some smaller amenities like a microwave, stove, etc.
The only thing is, itās not the best for swimming from the cabin. The water is super mucky and lots of weeds. That has nothing to do with the experience provided by the host though. The cabin itself is like 100ft from a public landing so if you bring a boat itās not really a big deal!

Such a peaceful getaway! My dogs loved swimming in the lake and exploring the land. We didn't see a single person and the road was nearly silent. The cozy cabin now has a bathroom, which is a wonderful addition! We will be back!

Loved the authentic log cabin and peaceful view of the lake. I usually rent more rustic properties and this was a treat with indoor plumbing and electric. Very cozy and great ambience. Great variety of kitchen accessories and games/activities.

We loved our time at Harvest Loon Camp. The land is beautiful and the cabin is clean and well equipped for our needs. We enjoyed kayaking on the lake and plenty of time by the fire pit. We felt very at home. We will definitely be back.

Our stay at the Harvest Loon Cabin was great! The upgrade to electric lights was very convenient and nice to have, though I will miss the unique propane lights. The weather dipped into the lower 20s but we stayed warm inside, just need to make sure the wood stove does not go out. There is plenty of public land, trails, and lakes around to keep yourself busy hunting, hiking or fishing. Or im sure in the warmer months just hanging out at the cabin. Looking forward to future updates, but dont go overboard with them. The simplicity of the cabin is half the fun of staying! Already trying to plan a stay in the warmer months to explore the area in a different season!

Robert was a great host. He has a beautiful rustic cabin and property. The upgraded electricity with working frig and stove were helpful additions. He was responsive to all questions. He had the wood burning stove already lit so I arrived to a warm cabin as the outside temps dropped below freezing. The main cabin stayed warm with the stove, as long as I kept the fire going in the wood burning stove, which meant a few late night additions. The kitchen gets a bit cold at night, but thatās part of the deal without furnace, and was not the priority as long as the main part of the cabin was comfortable. Definitely coming back in the warmer months to take more advantage of the outdoors!
