Cuyuna Crossing offers both private riverside domes and walk-in rustic campsites on 21 wooded acres with over a half mile of Mississippi River frontage, just minutes from the Cuyuna Recreation Area. It also features a private professionally designed 18-hole disc golf course, available to guests only. Mirror Hypedomes (Glamping) Our insulated domes are designed for quiet, comfortable stays and are ideal for couples. Each includes a king bed, private bathroom with shower (in the main building), wood stove (firewood provided), electric heat, fire ring, seating, and private river access. Wood-fired, coil thermosiphon hot tubs are being installed this spring; early-season stays may not yet include them. Rustic Campsites Walk-in tent sites offer a simple, peaceful way to experience the land. The property includes one Riverside Group Site (up to four tents) and four individual tent sites along the river. Sites are bring-your-own-gear with no water or electricity. A porta potty serves the campsite area. Parking is in the main lot, with carts provided to transport gear. Optional add-on: shared private bathroom & shower access in the main building (limited availability, advance purchase required). Coming Soon Additional premium tents are planned for a future phase of the property. Rustic Riverside Group Campsite The Riverside Group Campsite is a spacious, walk-in tent site located along a bend of the Mississippi River. Originally the primary camping site on the property, this area offers a larger clearing suitable for up to four tents and is ideal for families, friends, or disc golf weekends. Vehicles now park in the main lot, and carts are provided to transport gear to the site. The short walk helps preserve quiet along the river and reduces vehicle traffic through the woods. The site includes: Two picnic tables A large central fire ring Open tent areas Immediate river access Close proximity to the on-site 18-hole disc golf course A rock beach is located nearby and offers an easy entry point to the river. Water levels can vary seasonally, and guests should use caution at all times. A rope swing is present near the river; guests are responsible for checking depth and conditions before use. There is no electricity or water at the campsite. A conveniently located porta potty serves the campsite area. Optional Add-On: Shower & Bathroom Access Campers may purchase access to a private bathroom and shower located in the main building. This shared facility is available to add-on guests on a first-come basis. Availability is limited per night, and a door code will be provided prior to arrival. The Riverside Group Campsite is best suited for guests seeking a simple, river-centered camping experience with space to gather and easy access to the surrounding woods and trails.

The Mirror Hypedome is a private, insulated geodesic dome designed for quiet, year-round stays along the Mississippi River near the Cuyuna Recreation Area. Featuring a king-size bed and reflective exterior that blends into the surrounding forest, this dome offers thoughtful design and natural immersion in the Northwoods. Each dome includes: A private wood-fired coil hot tub Dedicated riverfront access A private bathroom with shower located in the main building A wood stove for winter heating (firewood provided) Supplemental electric heaters Outdoor seating and fire ring A coffee maker Mini-fridge Lighting and electrical outlets The wood-fired hot tub is filled and heated by guests. Water and firewood are provided, and heating the tub requires time and attention. Many guests enjoy the slower rhythm this creates as part of the experience. During colder months, the wood stove inside the dome serves as the primary heat source. In sub-freezing temperatures, guests should plan to maintain a fire overnight to ensure continued warmth. Instructions are provided upon arrival. (Josh tested it this winter at -27* and survived, but did get cold when his fire went out at 2am!) Designed primarily for couples, the dome comfortably accommodates two adults. Infants and small children who bedshare are welcome. A two-night minimum stay is required to allow guests time to settle in and fully enjoy the river, forest, and outdoor amenities. We wanted to find somewhere last minute to camp and it was a really cool spot. Plenty of firewood, nice view of the river. We didn’t face any issues driving to the site, off roading but a clear path. The fire pit was awesome and our fire was still smoking when we woke up!

What a fantastic spot! As the host recommends, definitely plan to walk. We drove out there in a very small AWD car and we got out and in in mostly one piece, but it is very tight. That said, site 3 is stunning. The stars were out and it was the perfect site to stargaze. We managed to get a couple walleye off of the bank in front of the camp. Definitely bring your rod and some heavy lures to get across the wide Mississippi if you like fishing. They are out there! -Tons of wood -good views -well kept -very dog friendly -no bugs (when we went)

First trip for our small crew - 2 adults and 3 doggos. Limited people sounds (a bit of traffic near by, but easy to tune out). The site is definitely new with lots of down sticks and branches for a fire. It was great to be close to town, but also distant from people. Looks like they are making great strides with expansion.

Love the view and the privacy! Caught some fish and and had some peaceful nights by the fire! Trails are a bit tight but they were dry. I made it back there with a 2wd f150 no problem! I would highly recommend the stay!

My friend and I loved tent camping at site 3. The hike in was made easier with the wagon and we loved the views of the Mississippi. We were able to put our tubes in at site 2 and coast down to our site. We got a nice breeze and plenty of privacy! Leah had great communication leading up to our trip and even provided us helpful information for a kayaking route. We would definitely like to come back for more memories! Having endless firewood was such a perk too.

Took a break from cabins surrounded by other cabins and enjoyed tent camping with our Lugaloo on campsite #1. Yes, you can hear traffic but didn’t bother us. Bring a speaker and play your favorite music. You don’t need a loud volume to drown out the traffic sound. Enjoyed the adventurous drive to the camp site. We did help out fellow campers that got stuck so keep that in mind. We drove a dodge ram 2500 with a wench. Glad we could help out. You want off grid and surround yourself with trees…you found it. Great weekend.

Excellent weekend getaway on the river. The site was easy to find and super spacious. I had plenty of room to explore, and a great spot for my tent. Fishing was also excellent from this spot, if you’re planning to fish, hit up Oars-n-Mine in Crosby for bait as the bait shop across the street from the property is closed. My Nissan Rogue made it mostly fine to and from the campsite (I still goofed and scraped over a small stump which my front bumper didn’t like. Just be aware and you’ll be fine). Hoping to be back at some point as the views were fantastic and the solitude was lovely

Camping at this site #2 was great! Lots of great fire wood and an excellent view right on the Mississippi River! The site is a great place to stay. We brought a boat to hop on the fish the whitefish chain, we had plenty of space to park it at the front of the property. The boat parking was nicely hidden away from the road. The drive to campsite was easy enough but I would recommend having 4 wheel drive or 4x4, ESPECIALLY if rains. Don’t plan on bringing a boat/trailer with you to the campsite, but there is space to park it at the front of the property. Bring mosquito spray, they can be tough buggers.

I stayed at site #3. Beautiful spot and very secluded from your neighbors. Lots of wood to burn and a beautiful spot to relax and detox from the rest of the world. Not a very hard drive to get back there at all (as long as you have AWD I’d say lol). I would highly recommend this spot. 10/10 🫶🏻

We had a great trip! The river access was fantastic and the site itself was lovely and well kept. Our 4wd vehicles had no problem getting back to the site, though as Leah mentioned a smaller vehicle would have struggled. Plenty of room for a couple of hammocks and a very large tent! Overall beautiful spot, we will definitely be back!

Site 2 was great ! Our Honda pilot AWD made the drive easily . Plenty of unsplit logs already cut up and stacked at the camp site ready for splitting and burning which was amazing ! Kayaks worked perfectly ! We will come back

We've stayed at this site before, so we knew we would have a great time! The trail back to site 3 is more overgrown than previous years, so be prepared for that. There was also garbage left from the previous campers, so we tried to clean up the site and leave it better for the next campers. We appreciate the views and seclusion that site 3 offers. Thanks for the great camping experience!

We had a great time at this campsite. The hosts were super nice and the communication was great. It’s true that getting to the spot is a little difficult but while we were there it looked like they had started working on clearing the path more to make it easier to drive through. We did manage to get a van in and out but I don’t really recommend, we did it very very slowly. The spot itself is amazing, had a great time fishing in the Mississippi and walking to the nearby bar for supper and drinks. The bugs weren’t too bad yet as it was still in the 50s/60s for the most part, the fire kept them away. Had plenty of firewood for us to use too. We’ll definitely be back!

Site #3 is super pretty and secluded, right along the bank of the Mississippi. Nicely stacked firewood was very helpful for fires, especially with the rainy weekend we had. Hosts were friendly and had good communication in case we needed anything!

We have stayed at site 3 before, so we knew we would love it again! This is the most secluded site at this listing. We were able to drive our Land Rover all the way back which was convenient, but the trail could definitely use some work. Water levels were very, very low when we visited this time around (Labor Day weekend). CAUTION- There was a hornet hole in the ground near the path down to the water!! Looked like someone had dug a hole to hold their rod and didn't fill it in. Hornets have taken it over and my husband was stung 3 times while walking by. Made fishing at the water almost impossible. Otherwise, very peaceful site.
