Adding to the welcoming atmosphere, are two friendly dogs – Frank, a Goldendoodle, and his sister/sidekick, Lucy, a Mini Goldendoodle. They roam freely on part of our property with the help of an invisible fence. Feel free to shoo them away if they bother you or if any other rogue neighborhood dog wanders over. You can have your friendly pets off leash but please contain your pet as you see fit with other pet personalities. Sometimes, like humans we don't all get along. Please clean up after them as they roam the property and respect others campers/neighbors spaces. Keep your dog within your sight at all times. When we camp, we value privacy, and we'll ensure the same for you. Upon arrival, please head directly to your campsite or cabin. Weekend Trip to Wise Woods on Fool Lake

What a great piece of lake property to camp! After a short drive up a wooded path you are greeted by a lovely piece of wooded lake heaven with open vista to the lake. The property has an elevated area where we put our Chalet and two tents. This is where the outhouse is located as well. The property has a partial "road" down to the lake where you can tell some people may have driven. Not steep however. There is a flat area by the lake where a fun two person swinging bench is located and large fire pit. Fools Lake is clean and clear for swimming and kaying, my favs. We were in the lake all the time. I enjoyed the ease of steps into the lake. There is a sandy bottom with some rocks (wear your water shoes) but so easy to lauch your canoe or kayaks. There is a large dock as well. This property is well hiden for privacy. Quiet. Beautiful. We will return.

Weekend Trip to The Jubilee Homestead

This is our second time staying at the Jubilee homestead. We will definitely be back. They are so hospitable and generous, but also give you your privacy. They have free range goats, chickens, and cats that are so fun to play with and see in their natural element! Our kids love playing in their barn. I’d definitely suggest camping here! And it’s far enough out, but still close to many things.

Weekend Trip to O'Dalaigh Hideaway

Don’t let the smaller size of this Hipcamp fool you, this spot is awesome! We stayed right on the edge of the river, and the soothing sound of the flowing water made for the perfect backdrop all weekend long. It was incredibly quiet and serene; even though there are a couple of cabins nearby, we hardly knew they were there. It truly felt like we had our own little slice of nature to ourselves. The site was clean, easy to access, and offered just the right mix of comfort and wild. Whether you're looking to relax, fish, paddle, or just listen to the river with a cup of coffee in hand, this place delivers. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a peaceful escape. We’ll absolutely be back!

This camp is great for in transit campers along I-35. Only 20 minutes from the interstate but private and secure. Surrounded by woods and nature as camping should be! 30 Amp service was good. Caution: no cell coverage and make sure you use the second entrance driveway across from McKay Rd.

3 nights at Trails End Retreat

My husband and i spent 3 nights and were so sad to leave. The property is beautiful and so well taken care of and the family is so accommodating and friendly! They popped out and checked on us once a day but otherwise let us just explore the land and have our time alone. There were solar lights that led the way to the CLEAN outhouse which was serviced every day! We were able to have our dog off leash and enjoyed watching all the wildlife. We will for sure be back! *we added the load of wood and the farm fresh eggs and just take our advice and do it as well! The eggs were amazing and such a great price for the amount of wood they have stacked and waiting for you at the site!

Weekend Trip to SOL VIND - Lakeside Camping Retreat

Amazing place to camp out at! The sites are directly across the lawn to the beach. Plenty of communal areas to hang out at. My kids absolutely loved and enjoyed the stay. The host was even nice enough to come out and offer them a water pad to play on. It is a tight squeeze into your site if you have a trailer. I had a 32ft trailer in there and while it fits perfectly, I wouldn’t recommend much larger. There is a general store about 5 minutes away to get anything you forget. Oh and it’s very dog friendly. I’m definitely planning a trip there again. Great times.

3 nights at SOL VIND - Lakeside Camping Retreat

This was such a cute and cozy spot! The cabin itself was SO cozy and relaxing, and we truly appreciated the AC on the 92-degree day! The hosts were great, and being so close to the beach was amazing. We enjoyed watching the sunsets and having a bonfire on the beach itself. It truly felt like something out of a movie. The other sites are quite close, so if you're looking for isolation, this isn't it; however, there is still a good amount of privacy, and the neighbors at the sites were friendly. I would absolutely recommend this stay and hope to come back someday. Thank you. :)

Weekend Trip to SOL VIND - Lakeside Camping Retreat

We stayed with Sarah and Scott for 2 nights in a 15ft travel trailer. Directions were good. You do have to back in from the road but we had no issues and got right in. I suggest walking the road before backing in. The weather was super hot, this is the perfect spot for escaping the heat and enjoying the lake. Our hosts were so friendly and incredibly kind to share their beautiful place. The campsites are close to each other ( we lucked out and had the place to ourselves) but you won’t spend much time at your spot. There is a beautiful clean beach, lots of seating, manicured lawn with plenty of shade. We saw lots of birds there and turtles too. Father Hennepin state park is a short drive away with easy hiking trails. The town of Isle also has 2 convenience stores. There is an outhouse only but Sarah has everything you need in there and it was nice and clean. We did go through a frightening storm, with incredible winds coming off the lake. So if you know it’s going to rain, SECURE everything just in case. We did not and regret that. We had a relaxing and fun weekend and will definitely be back.

Weekend Trip to East Lake Ranch

Hosts truly want you to experience and enjoy the features of their property! Both sites offer quick and easy access to the dock and provided kayaks, mowed walking path which has wonderful flower aroma and perfect view of the Eagle nest and a variety of butterflies. The animals were definitely a bonus, my daughter loved feeding the pigs! Meadow site doesn't have shade except down by the dock, but has views and open play space, where as the other site is more private and tree covered, but smaller area. All directions and descriptions given by owners were 💯 clear and accurate.

We loved staying at this tiny retreat! It was so peaceful, cozy, and private. Super easy to relax and feel in-tune with the woodland, while still having all sorts of creature comforts. And even a nice spread for breakfast waiting in the fridge!

Cozy spot, beautiful area. Was just passing through MN and it was a great place to spend a quiet evening. Definitely recommend. A couple notes, I didn't have cell service out there so make sure to record the directions and instructions before you arrive. Also, wish I would have taken them up on a couple of those firewood bundles to quiet the mosquitoes.

The Hamlet Lake Homestead

The Hamlet Lake homestead is our 10-acre family home with two unique and private hip-camp sites. The Hamlet Lake Bunkhouse is located to the west of our home in its own secluded parcel next to the lake. The Camp on Hamlet Hill is to the north of our home, on a remote flat hill at the top of our property, on a hill over Cedar brook. with 300-acre, (private) Hamlet Lake in front, and the wide portion of the 20-mile Cedar brook in the back. We are a large "homesteading" family, with chickens, ducks, and a garden. The campsite is a private 1/2 acre clearing, surrounded by woods with a firepit, grill, cooking utensils, and an outhouse. (Tents are available for a small additional cost). There is an outdoor water pump below the hill. Guests can access the waterfront and beach in front, with the use of the swim raft, lily pad, fishing dock, canoe, kayak, and paddle boards included. At nearly 100 feet deep, Hamlet lake also boasts excellent fishing. Our home is located 6 miles from Crosby, with the world-class Cuyuna Lakes 50-mile mountain bike trail system. Crosby is a growing tourist town with many new and unique restaurants, outdoor adventures, and shopping opportunities. The paved bike trail begins 3.5 north of us. Milacs lake is 10 miles to the south.

The water comes from a low flow well that has been tested and is potable. It is great to fill your RV tanks. There is also several level areas for tents. There are 2 fire rings for camp fires a propane and charcoal grill. The campground has a dock to access the lake and Crow Wing river. There is approximately 25 steps down the bank to the dock. The steps are newer but steep, If you choose to use them you do so at your own risk.

Several lakes in the area provide numerous options for fishing, boating, and hiking. And nothing beats those evening country road walks while agate hunting! Other area attractions include Mini golf in Cambridge, public aquatic center with water slides in Mora, and several state parks an hour or less away.

O'Dalaigh Hideaway

Note: Address is NOT 31128 Riverside Drive, Pine City as shown on Hipcamp. It is located right next to 31128 River Bend Drive, Pine City. Hipcamp will not allow me to put correct address there. The property is on a vacant lot next to our cabin lot on the Snake River East of Pine City MN. This lot has the better river view and experience as its a small peninsula that juts out to the river with rapids. There is a swimming area right next to the campsite or feel free to jump into the rapids if you want a rush. River is not deep most of the year and there is fishing right there as well, mostly large and small mouth bass. There is parking off the road and a short walk to the campsite, just follow the sounds of the river. A small wagon is provided to help with getting gear down to the river tent site. New this year (2025) is a composting toilet along the trail to the tent site. It uses a "separator" where #1 goes back to the earth (as it is sterile and liquid) and #2 goes into a bucket and is covered with wood chips. There is also a standing urinal for men if desired. If you would prefer to use a pit toilet there is one on the property with directions marked with a sign. It is a farther walk however, about 100 yards from the tent site and on the cabin property near the driveway. If you want something even more convenient, feel free to bring your own. Firewood is available for sale onsite or feel free to clean up dead wood lying along the trail at no cost, note that it is more than likely freshly cut and wet but will burn if the fire is hot enough. The tent site is right next to rapids on the Snake river. If you struggle sleeping to the sound of rushing water, this may not be for you!

This cabin was built by hand in the 1970s from white pine that was harvested and milled on-site. Our family purchased and rehabbed this beautiful cabin throughout 2021. Indoor and out, there are so many ways to relax and connect with loved ones during all seasons at Bundo's Cabin. Learn more about this land: Where the forest meets the field. Unplug and relax at Bundo's Cabin with extraordinary views of wildlife and endless outdoor opportunities. The modern yet cozy cabin has electricity and features a front patio, an external outhouse and outdoor rainwater bucket shower, a fully equipped kitchen, a dining area, a living area, and a sleeping loft with a reading nook. No matter the season, this cabin is a wonderful, cozy, and clean, place to relax and unwind. Feel free to roam around the 10-acre property and explore the 80 acres of state land to the north. Deer, foxes, coyotes, turkeys, owls, eagles and more are likely to be seen or heard. Explore, Banning, Moose Lake, and Father Hennepin State Parks which are all within 30 minutes, and return to the cabin to read, play games, listen to records, have a fire, and relax. The kitchen provides you with everything you need to prepare your meals including a refrigerator, small freezer, stove, oven, cookware, cutting boards, sink, seasonings, oil, and coffee. Water for washing is available from an electric pump faucet in the kitchen, and a brand-new outhouse is located steps from the cabin. The cabin is efficiently heated and cooled with a user-friendly heat pump and gets the cabin to your desired temperature very quickly. We are grateful to honor the Dakota and Anishinaabe people whose land we occupy by donating $10 from every booking to the Makoce Ikikcupi Land Recovery Project. Great quiet location, Wildlife and the sound of the sound of the country. You will have the only camp site on the property. You can stay in the small camping cabin in comfort with your own bedding, or sleeping bag for the twin bed in the loft, or the futon on the main level. The cabin only has room for two adults unless you bring a camp pad to sleep on the floor, or squeeze in a child, but you have the comforts of a small electric heater, or A/C if needed, a Weber grill, mini fridge, microwave, and Electricity. Quiet former country farm site, with great wildlife viewing options with walking trails. Only 23 miles to DT St. Cloud and 8 Miles to the Walmart in Princeton for food or supplies. Just a half mile off Hwy 95 and 5 miles from the large Sherburne National Wildlife Refuge, with trails and lots of wildlife. Expect to hear Pheasant's cackle in the AM, and see Sandhill Cranes or Geese fly over the camp site, or sitting in area fields. Enjoy time around a campfire with folding chairs and a picknick table with plenty of free dry wood in a storage rack. Just to note, the Raspberries in some photos are not ready to be picked until about Labor Day.
