We had a great stay! The campsite was clean, peaceful, and well maintained. It was a perfect place to relax and enjoy nature. We'd definitely come back!

This spot was easy to find and had what we needed to park our solar operated campervan. The site was well maintained and there was a porta-potty. Quiet and peaceful and close to hiking and biking activities.

This is my third time staying at this site. It is clean and has many level site area along with sand beds for pitching a tent. Had lots of firewood, nice fire pit, screen room with table and chairs. Port a potty was clean and fresh. So close to the Sagamore unit trails I rode right from camp saving St. Park parking fee. It's a half mile to the boat landing. Area to the right of the landing was great for swimming after a hot day riding mountain bikes.

Great Site. Loved that it was just outside the entrance to Cayuna Country Sagamore unit. Our family really enjoyed the site. Plenty of space, nice level area for our camper. Our family was able to enjoy the mountain bike trails and then retreat back to the site for relaxation time. We are already talking about our next trip back. Only downside to the site is the proximity to the highway as you do have constant road noise. Also it seemed like we were in the approach line for the airport. This wasn't so bad as it was fun to watch the planes and they were not going after dark.

This space is awesome. Very well maintained. Plenty of firewood. The porta john was the cleanest one we’ve ever seen. Great location, just outside of the Sagamore unit. Would definitely stay here again.

Loved the spot, plenty of area for kids and dogs to play close to lots of lakes for kayaking and/or boating, huge fire was great for cooking large meals, the seclusion was awesome. I would highly recommend staying

Large open space surrounded by tall trees at the end of a cul-de-sac providing a pretty private and secluded site. LOTS OF SPACE. Way more than expected. Ample firewood and rock fire pit. Nice deck chairs and a gazebo with netting is at the site. Nice flat pads for tents. The site is pretty close to the mine pit boat landing which provided a nice relief from the heat over the weekend.

Thanks for sharing your land Paul! We had a great stay at The Black Loon. The property has a large and mostly flat clearing in the middle surrounded by woods. My son loved riding his bike on the well maintained trail that goes through the woods around the perimeter. There was a ton of perfect firewood right by the large fire pit which was a big perk for us. The only drawback is the road noise as there is a busy road very nearby so if you are sleeping in a tent be prepared to have some road noise to deal with. Wasn't a deal breaker for me and we would love to stay again sometime if the opportunity presented. Paul was very responsive and we would absolutely recommend his hipcamp!

The Black Loon
Paul’s set up makes camping a breeze. Plenty of seating, beautiful fire pit with free firewood available, porta potty, some shelter for evening hanging or protection from rain and nice tent pads. It stormed a lot the night I was camping and the tent pads drained nicely and did not pool water around my tent. The site is very easy to get to from the main road. Enjoy!
