3 nights at Twin Folk Farms

We had such a a great time at the cabin! With 4 adults and two dogs, we didn't feel over crowded at all. We swam in the rush river one day and had a board game day inside while it rained. So peaceful, thank you Darla! Hope to get back in the fall for some cooler temps and more fishing.

1 night at Whippletree Farm & Nature Trail

This was a lovely, peaceful spot! We had a great night in the cabin, and we had everything we needed. Peter was responsive and welcoming, but gave us space as well.

Weekend Trip to Prairie Creek Campground

Wonderful property and a hospitable host! Campsite had plenty space for multiple tents. Didn’t get a chance to check out all the trails but plan to do so in the future. Would highly recommend. Thanks!

Weekend Trip to The Double J

We stayed 2 nights in campsite #3. These campsites were quite spacious! Nothing compared to a state park or campground where the sites are super close. Lots of shade and lots of hammocking trees as well, right next to the river! We did the float on our paddle boards from the covered bridge to the campsite, the water was quite high as we were unable to touch bottom. There was a blockage 5-10 minutes into the float so if you plan to do this make sure to stay to the right side of the river and there is a little path to get through! Definitely make sure you have your life jacket and good water shoes on as the water is moving pretty fast! This site is right by the port-a potty and fire wood container which was nice as well. Jeff the host was super friendly and helpful! He met us as soon as we got there and explained a couple of things and answered any questions we had. We definitely would recommend this campsite and will probably be back again!

I enjoyed our stay! Very cozy. Poncho the border Collie checked up on us a couple times making his rounds. It's very quiet and secluded which was perfect for the women and I.

Weekend Trip to Sassy Fox Acres

My friends and I really enjoyed the Sassy Fox campsite. The camp was well marked, clean, and the host was responsive. We really enjoyed all the fireflies around the campsite! Our only suggestion is to mark the well for guests to easily find in thr future.

We loved our time at the farm. It was secluded, quiet, and beautiful, the cabin was just what we needed as a home base for the week, and the hanging swings were a fun touch. Electric fans helped with summer temps and it was nice to have fresh linens rather than have to pack them Bring your big repellent for ticks as you would with other natural areas. The goats and chickens were a delight. Thanks to Peter and family for hosting.

4 nights at The Double J

Jeff and Julie were so so friendly and kind. I stayed 4 days and it rained for 4 days. But I was prepared and stuck it out just relaxing in my tent with the pitter-pat of the rain. They checked on me often during the week. The campsites are al very nice with a good deal of space In-between and they are all right on the Zumbro River. Lovely property and well kept. I will return! 1 night at Belle Creek Bluff

It was a very sweet setting. We saw incredible amount of native MN woodland plants, and so many kinds of birds, butterflies, dragonflies, and had an amazing firefly light show both nights. The green canopy cabin was a perfect hangout, even in the rain. The only issue we had is we had to cross Belle Creek to get to the cabin, and after 2 days of heavy rain, the creek had a much stronger current and was quite a bit deeper than when we arrived, so the return was very tricky, even a little scary!

2 nights at Two Bees & A Bud, Flower Farm Camp

The site was so pretty and was a good place to disconnect from the world! Christine had great communication leading up to the trip and during the trip! We will definitely be back!

3 nights at Whippletree Farm & Nature Trail

We had a wonderful time on the farm! The cabin was perfect for what we needed. Fans helped to circulate air in summer weather, the beds were comfortable with clean sheets, and the little prep surface and mini fridge made things easy. Very family friendly. We'd recommend repellent and keeping an eye out for ticks as you would in other natural areas. The goats and chickens were a delight for kids and the composting toilet set-up worked well. Thanks to Peter and the family for welcoming us!

Perfect place to let down and rest. Beautiful creek you or the kids can walk down all day. I'm a repeat guest and can't recommend it highly enough. Just an hour from the cities.

This location was perfect and we loved the isolated feeling! The animals were really adorable and entertaining, it’s truly a beautiful and serene property. There is a giant turkey guarding the entrance to the property, which made for some great giggles and memories. You can hear some road noise from the camp sites but it’s off in the distance. We did have some miscommunication with the landowner, he made some updates/changes to the listing after we booked and had some conflicting information on there. Just for the record, NO CAMPERS ALLOWED. I know it says RVs and trailers are allowed on the site details - this is not the case.

The Double J

Welcome to the Double J! Of the 71 acres we own, about half is tillable and the other half is woods and pastures for our horses. Within that, there is a beautiful secluded 3-acre meadow nestled down along along a beautiful 1,200 foot stretch of the Zumbro River where we have 5 spacious tent/RV campsites. While the campsites are all adjacent to each other along the river, they are each very spacious (the smallest being 100' wide and 75' deep), with some mature trees scattered around. Each sites (except Site #1) is able to accommodate up to 8 people and more than one tent or RV. There is a small meadow above all the sites where campers can play catch or other games. We provide and maintain a centrally located outhouse and keep the entire area mowed throughout the year. All sites offer great shade trees (perfectly spaced for hanging up a hammock) and access to the river - great for those hot summer days! Water activities to be enjoyed include fishing, swimming, canoeing, kayaking, paddle boarding and tubing (equipment not included). Some campers will drop in upstream at the Covered Bridge Park and float down to their campsite. The Zumbro River, especially in the fishing hole, offers great fishing including Trout, Small-mouth, Red-horse, and an occasional Northern or Sauger. Campers are welcome to to meander out into our pastures to pet our two horses, Shiloh and Champ. Also, we are just over a mile from town where you can visit Covered Bridge Park which has a Frisbee golf course and a nice play area for younger kids. Reserving adjacent sites, or all of the sites, makes for the ideal setting for a large family or group camp-out. In order to prevent overcrowding, we do reserve the right to limit number of sites, or campers per site based on overall parties/campers in the camping area. We will notify you if there are any limits at the time of your booking. We enjoy being able to share our property with others, and it is our desire to promote a safe, peaceful, family-friendly environment, therefore, be sure to note, we do have a NO ALCOHOL policy. PLEASE NOTE: Be sure to read the "RV Details" on the site information page as the road to the camping area may limit the type or size of RV due to a couple dips, a sharper curve, and it's steeper slope. Also, keep in mind, we reserve the right to cancel any reservations due to heavy rains or floods that may require our sites some additional time to dry out sufficiently. Prairie Creek Campground

Hello 2025, Camping Season is Here! Pitch your tent at one of our Walk-In campsites on 60 acres of forest or hilltop prairie along Prairie Creek in Rice County, MN. Explore the creeks, trails, forest, our enormous granite "split rock", a 60 acre county park featuring waterfalls and trails, including a single track mountain bike trail. That's 120 acres of exploring outside your tent; this campground truly offers a large amount of remote forest for recreation right on site. Big Woods State Park is less than 2 miles away. Faribault is 8 miles and Northfield is 9 miles from our driveway; they offer dining, boutiques, and all other amenities. Nerstrand is 4.5 miles east and has a gas station and a fantastic meat market. Numerous Cannon River put-ins are within 10 miles. Vehicles: Our main parking area by sites 1, 2, & 3 is easily accessible. The road to the secondary parking area beside site 4 is up a steep gravel road (but it is accessible). We do not have firewood available at the campground; please plan ahead to bring firewood with you. Sites are priced for one tent, please let us know if you need to have more than one tent. Kids under 16 camping with their parents do not count in pricing. A map of the land is in the photos and shows locations of sites, parking and more. All Sites are Walk-In! We have a cart you may use to haul gear in. This campground is managed by Stephen and Molly on land owned by them and their father Ted. In 1961, Ted's parents bought this farm. In addition to farming they also operated a trail riding stable here. Over the years, the arable land has been sold, but we retained the wooded areas which are twice crossed by creeks. About 25 years ago, a 60 acre county park bordering the south and west sides of our land was created. We are very excited to host campers as a way to preserve and share this beautiful property.

The pantry is stocked with sea salt, pepper, some basic cooking herbs, local coffee beans, and herbal tea. We have a work desk with some writing supplies, colored pencils and crayons, board games, a record player with a few of our favorite records on hand, and a handpicked collection of books to cozy up and dive into. There is a brand new open-concept bathing room featuring a restored clawfoot bathtub & pedestal sink, a private restroom nook, and complete with fresh towels, body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. The linen and supplies used inside the home were selected to be easy on the environment and are free of harsh chemicals so those with sensitive skin can rest easy. We have a well on property and mound septic system, and so we are mindful of how we're maintaining the land around us with the products we use.

- Cabin Available Year Round - Campground Open May 1 - Oct 31 Tucked in a valley among rolling hills just 70 miles east of St. Paul, discover a stunning sanctuary surrounded by hardwoods, pines and birch groves. Meander a walking trail system through 30 acres of woods and prairie. In 2019, all 10 acres of fields were planted as dedicated Monarch/pollinator habitat. This is a full sensory experience - flowered meadow and spectacular celestial nights with serenading hoot owls, frogs, crickets and yips of coyotes in the distance. Our chickens do their daily forage through the yard and woods. This is a birder's delight turkey and deer being very common sightings. Our unique greenhouse and pergola are common use areas for all guests to enjoy. The pergola is a large cushioned area providing shade to read a book, charge a device, play cards, enjoy a beverage, eat a meal. Explore the greenhouse production of tomatoes, peppers, and ginger growing along with flowers and other hothouse varieties. Fill water containers, or use the large stainless steel sink (hot/cold water) and countertops to prep meals or wash up. You will also find a beverage service counter, yard games for use, and any on-farm items for sale in this area- firewood, plants, eggs and produce. Tucked discreetly behind the greenhouse is 1 of 2 drop-offs for garbage and recycling, and also 1 of 2 ultra clean port-a-potties found on property. *** We're family friendly! Adult occupancy is applied to 13 years and older. There is no occupancy charge/limit for children 12 years of age or under. *** We have 6 sites to offer. Providing a historical backdrop is a fully restored Norwegian cabin built in 1894 (completed July 2022). Adjacent to the greenhouse is 2 RV (or tent) sites with full water and 30 amp hookups (Meadow Camp East and West). 2 additional sites accommodate RVs or tents. (Hill Camp and Sumac Camp). One of which is a very large area that is ideal for groups (Sumac Camp). Lastly, we have 1 walk-in tent site, the most private (Pine Camp), a short distance into the woods behind the greenhouse. Don't let our sleepy little town deceive you. The locals have huge hearts - are generous creatives, with ingenious businesses that spill over with hospitality. Uber local is 2 Amish businesses within a 15 minute walk - a bakery and a woodworking shop. We're happy to direct you to other local highlights: on-farm meat sales, herbal apothecary, goat milk products, home goods, local microbreweries and quilt shops to name a few. The Oaks at Oakwood Farm

Enjoy 10 acres shared between 2 sites! The two campsites are large and can accommodate approximately 6 tents comfortably at each. If more is needed let us know we have room and can accommodate. There is a shared bathroom/changing room and trash/recycling between the sites. There is a water point in the barn if you need to fill up on drinking water just make sure you have a container for it. Site includes a picnic table and firepit and many acres with downed trees to salvage. Bundles of firewood can be purchased if needed. This area includes a back pasture and woods with trails throughout for walking/mountain biking. There are many horse trails in the area, if you want to bring your horses that is fine as long as you bring containment for them and clear it with us first. We are approximately 1 mile from a rum river access. There are multiple river trip options from our property. We are also 3 mins from lake george and the Rum River Regional Park for swimming, biking, fishing, boating, and more paddling. There is a Bills gas n grocery as well as a G-will liquors less than a minute from the property. The Ponds golf course is about 4 mins away as well. If you are looking to hit downtown Anoka that is a straight shot and approx 12 mins away. This site is on an active hobby farm that has dogs, cats, horses, chickens, goats, turkeys, and multiple gardens. We have a farm stand by the road where we sell items such as fresh roasted coffee, eggs, BBQ sauce, pickles, maple syrup, hot sauce, and more! We are very pet friendly and like to meet new furry faces, so feel free to bring them along!

Situated on 36 acres, this working farm is 2 miles West of Taylors Falls. Dan bought this property with the intention of growing stone fruits (plums, peaches, apricots and cherries) using sustainable and organic practices because health and wellness matter to them! They are still in the process of improving their property. Many of the building on the property were in poor condition, including the old barn foundation which is now one of Dan and Danielle favorite places to keep cool in the summer. After they had excavated all the debris (which took years) they were able to transform it with gardens and fire pit for all to enjoy. They love sharing what they have been blessed with!
