Super private site with lots of spaces for tents or activities. We were given plenty of fire wood and there was loads of leaves and sticks around to get the fire going. We went in mid June and there wasnât a single mosquito we saw. There is a little bit of an uneven drive up the hill. Even though I enjoyed the off-roading in my Subaru it was pretty bumpy and may be difficult for those with cars lower to the ground. Overall very fun for someone looking to be close to nature and alone.

The camp site is in a beautiful little hollow in the forest, which protects it from a fair amount of wind. They gave me a free bundle of wood, which was more than enough for 1 night. There is plenty of wildlife in the area, we saw a female bobcat and her cubs briefly. The road up is a bit bumpy, my sedan did just fine although you WILL be off roading a bit and need to be careful as you go. All in all, a wonderful site and I will be back!

It is a great little tucked away spot. The host was fantastic and very accommodating. Super close to Nugget Lake for hiking. The entry was fun to drive with the Toyota. Worth the visit!

Great privacy. We got a bit of rain but the site drains well. Great fire pit, poking sticks and picnic table. Bins to keep firewood dry worked perfectly. We will return here for sure again.

The site was spacious and had a great fire pit with a movable grate that we used for cooking. I really appreciate the firewood being provided!
We heard lots of turkeys and found at least 3 types of moss.
Staci was responsive to messages to help coordinate anything required.
Great experience, I'm sure we'll be back đ

Peaceful and very private camping spot. A great space to have my dog with me. It was so quiet and beautiful. Would definitely stay again. Staci was a great communicator when needed.

Lots and lots of space to spread out and explore! The haul up the hill is a workout and took us a few trips. The stars at night are worth the trip alone.

This campsite was STUNNING. I was worried my car wouldnât make it up the trail but it did just fine and I survived lol the skies were so clear after the rain and stargazing for some stragglers of the perseid meteor shower was so amazing. If I couldâve been there for the peak I wouldâve đ it did rain a good bit and thereâs a few low spots in the camp that collect water so keep that in mind for where you place your tent. The host included complimentary firewood for each night and it was the perfect amount for us, we didnât even burn through all of it!

Great private camping in a unique spot. The rocks that line the back part of the site added a cute touch and bit of a magical feel. Getting to the site is going up-hill, so itâs a bit of a workout hauling stuff up. It is possible to get a car up there, but our Mazda 6 was a bit too low to clear some of the terrain. Subarus, Jeeps or cars of the like could make it up.
I loved this site. Sarahâs description of needing to bring water, electricity, and having a provided compost toilet is accurate. We had solar powered laterns and string lights that did well here. Sarah gave great communication prior to our trip, too.
This is far out enough to hear many different wild birds and animals. We made friends with some curious rabbits and heard coyotes in the distance. The stars-gazing is also top-tier next to the fire.
The fire pit is huge and has a built in fire grill that made cooking with our Dutch oven easy. The fire pit is a little raised with some loose bricks, so be sure to watch your step around it. We cleared some bricks to make it easier to walk around. Sarah also provided a lot wood, so cooking using primarily the fire was do-able.
Overall, if you want a more off-grid, private experience with a safety net of a town within a 20 minute drive, this is a great spot. Sarah is responsive to any needs if you have any.
We had Verizon and att phone services and phone calls and gps were reliable.
