When we were kids we spent time on this property riding bike, horses, and exploring. We have turned this 13 acre property into 22 site campground that we are excited to share with you. Nestled in a bed of trees just 2 miles from I-90 and 1/4 mile South of the Luverne City Park. This campground has 12 sites with rural water and 20,30&50 amp electric at every site. Feel free to explore the property and you will find a wooded grove and dirt walking path, native plants, wild life--deer, squirrels, pheasants, eagles, hawks, fox, coyote, raccoon, etc. We have 2 fire pits on the property, one at site 1, the other at site 2. You are welcome to bring a portable fire ring or BBQ. We have a vegetable garden you we welcome to admire or get veggies from if they are ripe. We also have a trampoline with surrounding net if there is anyone interested in jumping on that. There is a basketball hoop located by site 1. The outdoor bathroom and guest patio area is also located near site 1. We have a few animals that roam the land, a black lab named Emma, she is 13 years old and friendly as can be but if she is outside she will greet you with barks and running with excitement to see who you are. She does not jump on people. Sometimes she will get territorial with other dogs but is fine after an introduction. So if you are traveling with dogs, a heads up is appreciated! We also have farm cats and egg laying chickens. Take a walk on our country road or into town, approximately a mile and a half to restaurants, visitors center at the Jolly Green Giant Statue, hardware stores, Shell gas station & food mart or access to miles of paved trails around the town. Explore and have fun locating the dozens of "Little Sprouts" (baby Green Giants) around town. There is a very nice City swimming pool with diving board, slide, lap pool, zero depth pool all the water features, lounge chairs, umbrella's, concession stand, showers... located on the South end of Main Street in Blue Earth. Very easy entrance and exit to Blue Earth, site is located at the intersection of Interstate 90 & HWY 169.

The Hamlet Lake homestead is our 10-acre family home with two unique and private hip-camp sites. We have both lakeshore (in front) and a hobby farm with cows, chickens and goats in our back lawn and woods. The Hamlet Lake Bunkhouse is located to the west of our home in its own secluded parcel next to the lake. The Camp on Hamlet Hill (closed for 2026) is to the north of our home, on a remote flat hill at the top of our property, on a hill over Cedar brook. with 300-acre, (private) Hamlet Lake in front, and the wide portion of the 20-mile Cedar brook in the back. We are a large "homesteading" family, with chickens, ducks, and a garden. The campsite is a private 1/2 acre clearing, surrounded by woods with a firepit, grill, cooking utensils, and an outhouse. (Tents are available for a small additional cost). There is an outdoor water pump below the hill, near which guests can view our fenced-in animals. Guests can also access the waterfront and beach in front, with the use of the swim raft, lily pad, fishing dock, canoe, kayak, and paddle boards included. At nearly 100 feet deep, Hamlet lake also boasts excellent fishing. Our home is located 6 miles from Crosby, with the world-class Cuyuna Lakes 50-mile mountain bike trail system. Crosby is a growing tourist town with many new and unique restaurants, outdoor adventures, and shopping opportunities. The paved bike trail begins 3.5 north of us. Milacs lake is 10 miles to the south.

Weekend Trip to New Hartford trout camp

Great spot! I have a senior dog who loves to camp but has mobility issues, so the drive in area with flat land was perfect for us! We walked along the paths by the creek and near the campsite. I appreciated being able to collect small wood on the ground to get the fire started, and the convenience of having wood available for purchase. I intentionally picked this spot as a solo camper with my dogs, and felt very comfortable! I also appreciated the picnic table, which I festively decorated to be full send celebrating the Harvest Moon. Sitting by the fire at night and listening to the creek was a wonderful way to be embraced in nature to decompress.

3 nights at Mn River Valley Sanctuary

Perfect weekend away with my little dog. Ed's site was exactly as listed and so much more. We were greeted by Harold the donkey (and Ed) upon arrival, and Sugar the dog gave me kisses first thing the next morning. Not sure if the best part was the other guests or the menagerie, but we were treated like family by all. Would definite recommend a trip over to Redwood Falls to check out Ramsey Park after snuggles from Harold.

Weekend Trip to The Auntie's Grove at Moonstone

Audrey and Richard have a beautiful clean place that's just far enough away from the Twin Cities. Sadly, it rained for most of our stay but we were able to hang out in the summer kitchen all day. I brought some games and we packed our lunch. It was a perfect way to spend the day away from it normally hectic weekends.

This is a wonderful place. So family friendly with the playground and gym! The kids loved the animals, too. Feeding the goats was fun and the friendly cat was so sweet. Esther was so welcoming. We made some sweet memories here.
