Had a very good experience. Jared was very accommodating & understanding. Very nice guy, site fit my 30'TT with little adjustment. It was a nice respite while I found my next spot.

Spruce Haven Campsite
Spot was a little smaller than initially expected but, made it work with my 30' TT. Jared was very sweet, communicative & accommodating. Even discussed winter options & it was nice to know I had them. Occasionally heard a car or two go by & once in a while, you can hear the train, otherwise very tranquil & peaceful. Driveway could use some leveling but my Pontiac took the punishment like a champ. Spot was level enough that I didn't need to do anything to level my camper.

We had a good time. We traveled to Duluth .. I wouldn’t say it’s extremely private someone does live across the street but overall my kids enjoyed it..

Great site! Private with plenty of room and a great view of the night sky. It was super convenient to have wood available right at the site. Jared was attentive and responded quickly. Would recommend!

This place was great for an overnight stay. I enjoyed the fire and the deepwoods experience. It is a few mins from a main road so not much traffic. I could hear the waterfowl on the nearby lake and would occasionally hear some of the neighbors dogs off in the distance. The land looked very lumpy on first inspection, but I found a place for my tent without a problem. There was extra firewood for purchase on site and plenty of deadwood you can pick up (not cut). I stayed in mid Oct. so the mosquitoes weren't bad. Follow the gps coordinates to a great no-thrills camp in the deep woods.

A nice and spacious campsite! It was great going there and having the leaves fall! It definitely made our group love fall even more. We definitely would come back again, and again! Tons of firewood to keep you warm, you do have to purchase the bundles, otherwise, lots of fallen wood that you can use!

A beautiful area, the campsite is massive and well taken care of. Not too far away from the public so you're able to get any last minute things you forget or even make a day trip to a nearby city (Duluth) or state park. Lots of people on the lake behind the campsite and people on 4 wheelers so you didn't get the, "scared and alone" feeling in the woods. The dock nearby for water access was super neat, really fun way to spend some time swimming.

Our site looked great but unfortunately the day before they had lots of rain in the area. We unfortunately had to cancel but will definitely come back and stay again. We loved how the site was literally in the middle of nowhere. Perfect for night time star gazing. Can't wait to come back and try again

Fantastic spot tucked away from everything. Clean, nice fire pit, and a wide open camp spot. I enjoyed it, I’m fairly sure the deer weren’t pleased I was there though! Awesome spot.

Another great stay! We absolutely love the privacy of this spot! The drive to the site in the fall is quite beautiful and we’ve taken a liking to the El Toro lounge / cafe that’s not too far from the site!

Balsam Retreat Campsite
The experience was smooth as butter, we found our campsite with ease, much after dark. The grounds were well maintained & very ideal for tenting. Nice and secluded so our dogs could play and get noisy without feeling bothersome! The roads coming to the site were very nice as well. Our host Jared was quick to respond to any questions we may have had and even pointed us in the direction of some good thrifting.
As a first time user of hipcamp, it was an experience i’d highly recommend to anyone!

I loved camping on this land! It was very quiet, good privacy, and had lots of space. Firewood and area were nicely kept, and even a few chair were provided. Would highly recommend!
