This camping sight was a great location in a quite neighborhood ! Pete was very responsive . Close to beach and historic Downtown , Fernandina .

Not too many places have electric and water hook-up so we were grateful for that. The scenery was beautiful and very close to the beach and a beautiful park that was in walking distance. Very quiet and peaceful. The site is on a slope and even with our leveling system it was difficult to get near level but not a major issue. We would definitely rebook if ever in the area.

We loved this site and Peter was so gracious and recommendations were superb! We felt very secluded even though site is in a beautiful neighborhood. Location is close to everything. (State park is a must!) We had zero problems with the tiny slope. The island is a gem!! Thanks, Peter, for the great experience. We will be back!!

The site was in a very quiet, attractive neighborhood and it was close to everything. The water and electric were easy to hook up. My only complaint was the high price to stay there each night. Maybe if sewage hook up was provided then that could have justified the cost.

My husband and I stayed at Costal for 10 days. The location is great. Very private yet close to everything. We wanted to be to be able to ride our bikes to the beaches and the downtown area. It was perfect for that! The only downside is the site needs some TLC it’s a big slope be prepared. Our host Peter was full of great information. We would definitely go back and I would recommend this place.

Great location! Easy access to everything with a bike. Bring blocks to level your rig but all in all it’s a perfect spot and we loved it and will def come back!

Great hidden RV spot - loved it! Close to beach AND historic old town. I teach an online masters program and it was perfect for internet connectivity and peacefulness. Peter was great - checked on us and the walks! Fabulous neighborhood - I want to move there! Don’t miss the lighthouse - right around the corner.

Ver quiet.. electricity great for our 30 amp trailer.
Not at all level for parking and working. They have some wood but plan on needing more.

Couldn’t have been a better location! Turn right off the street and you’ll end up at the river/downtown, turn left and there’s the beach. We biked downtown, got some coffee and breakfast, then to the beach for the afternoon. Both are super close. We also enjoyed walking around the neighborhood. The live oaks are just beautiful. There are lots of parks and playgrounds too. We had a really great stay and would’ve loved to stay longer. Water and electric worked wonderfully. The little gas grill was a nice touch. Host was super helpful and accommodating as we booked last minute. We’ll be back again!

The location between downtown Fernandina Beach and beach front was great. The town was charming with many good restaurants. Walking distance to either.
However, you are set up in a back yard right next door to the neighbor’s house. You may want to keep that in mind. The neighbors were not at home so it wasn’t a big deal for us.

Coastal Oaks was a great little spot to enjoy the surrounding area. Peaceful, quiet, and a very helpful host. Nice to be camped a short drive to the beach!

Great location for beaches and state park and near all accommodations. the site is beautiful and of good size but needs maintenance and to be leveled.
We would have appreciated someone coming to see us and welcoming us. the house no longer seems inhabited.

Awesome location about equal distance to the beach and town. Electric and water are right at the site. Nice neighborhood for walking our dogs. We will definitely be back.

Right smack dab in the middle of the island between the beach and downtown, this place is perfectly situated. Was a little weird at first pulling into a neighborhood but having no neighbors and peace and quiet made the weird go away quick. It’s pretty bare-bones, just 30amp and water. The spot isn’t perfectly level but there are boards provided to help. There is a fire pit and a work table too. We’ll stay here again for our next beach weekend.

We enjoyed camping at Coastal Oaks, its quiet enough to hear the owls at night. Very nearby the things we wanted to do in the area. Located with easy access to beaches , waterfront and downtown. The owner is quick to respond and helpful. Great location ,we would stay there again.

In one word! Awesome!! Peter has a remarkable secret hiding spot, nestled in a quiet neighborhood just minutes away from the beach and the amazing little town of Fernandina, Florida. The site is perfect, secluded just enough for the privacy you will need but not blocked in to the point that the sun won't shine through the trees in his yard during the afternoon. The site is also veery easy to get in and out of as well. directions are a snap and it is literally 100 yards off Atlantic Ave. If you're planning on going too, or simply needing a place to rest your head as you transition from one place to another during a planned adventure this stop is a must.

Coastal Oaks is my go to place for camping on Amelia Island. The host is amazing and attentive. I needed to extend my stay for a couple of day - no problem he helped me out.
I had family who live on the island stop by and they were amazed a what a hidden gem Coastal Oaks is.
This is my second stay at Coastal Oaks with a 26' Class C RV.

Coastal Oaks is the perfect spot to stay on Amelia Island. The site is private with water and electricity hookups. Fort Clinch, 1 mile away, has a dump station. It is about a mile to the beach and a mile to the town.
The owner is attentive to your needs and very responsive to your communications.
I can not wait to return to Coastal Oaks!

I could recommend this Hipcamp with a few stipulations. The host was very accommodating to our last minute request. Site was as described and had electric and water and trash. Location is amazing, just a little over a mile from the beach, a few blocks from Fort Clinch and close to any store you could possibly need . Bring bikes! A few things to be aware of…the site is in a yard in a neighborhood. The fence for the neighbors and their house on the right side are just a few feet away from where you park. So there isn’t any privacy. If you are in an RV it would be fine. We were in a our van and are use to cooking, cleaning dishes and relaxing out side of the van. We didn’t feel comfortable doing that since the space is in the front yard and so close to neighbors. We would normally set up our outdoor shower at a site but again, didn’t feel it would have been respectful to the neighbors to do that. If you have all the facilities needed inside your RV and don’t mind spending the time you are on the site in your RV, you would be just fine. The pros would be closeness to beach, parks, shopping. The cons would be lack of privacy.

The host is great! He checked on us frequently and was extremely helpful! He provided us suggested restaurants all of which were great! The location is great! We had our bikes so rode to the beach , fort cinch and the Egan waterway . We probably could have ridden bikes to historic Feranadina downtown but drove each time for the various restaurants in that area. I worked for two days Verizon and ATT worked well. If he just had sewer , he might not have been able to get us to leave! Also it is near the public pool again short bike ride. I hope it is available the next time we want to come down to that area.
