Small horse farm, mostly wooded, borders Ross Prairie State Forest. Peaceful woods, nice place for walking and horseback riding. Places for tents and campers. Laid back, pet friendly place next to our small horse farm. Sorry, we do not rent horses, but you may bring your own. We do not have hookups available at this time. Very private.20-acre small horse farm, mostly wooded. Borders Ross Prairie State Forest, easy access to trails. Short ride/long hike to Florida Greenway trails. All dispersed, primitive camping, no RV hookups are available at this time. Ask about stall rental for horses. I am happy to guide guests on trail rides when my schedule permits, the trails are great and we see lots of deer and turkey. There are supposedly bears but I have not seen any myself. If dogs are not sociable they are welcome to go along. They are not allowed off leash on the greenway itself but in the State Forest it’s fine. You can bring your horse and have access to our barn and stalls. We have access to riding trails accessible out of our backgates, the trails are in riding distance to the Florida Greenway.
Shortly after my arrival I met with Nancy-she welcomed me and told me a little’bit about the area & property, offered potable water if needed.
Was such a pleasure speaking with her-such a wonderful person.
Property is exactly as noted.
Primitive camping at its best.
Private location-sounds of nature-a peaceful night’s rest.
Solo traveler; I felt safe here.
No problem finding location -Directions sent were precise.
Thank you Nancy for sharing your property.
I hope to make it back on my return east.
This was a great experience. Nancy and her crew treated me so well. They went above an beyond calling. May GOD Bless her. I was made feel like family and that is very important to me.. Thank you Nancy!
Love the area, Never got to stay. It was my fault. I had to take a load on 5 days of camping. But the owner says she will make it up to me. I do plan to go for up to a month. So I'm very much looking forward to it. I'm testing my new solar set system. And will have it up to par very soon. And then I'll be going. Very nice people to converse with.
The privacy of this property really captured us. The owls at night were super cool. We were looking for a place to park our home while visiting friends during the day and this place worked well. I didn’t bring my horse this time but pretty sure he would have been impressed!
