For generations, the majestic waterfall has been revered for its spectacular beauty. It’s considered a sacred site central to local land rematriation work with the Kanienkeha:ka.
Coursing between two outcroppings in a deep ravine, the waterfall crashes down over mossy rock shelves into emerald swimming holes and through dramatic clay beds. It’s one of those extraordinary spots on earth that make you feel like you’re in another world. The sites aren’t suitable for parties or loud groups.
It's about a 10 minute hike to the waterfall where you can spend the day swimming, exploring the clay beds and looking for fossils in the 280 million year old gorge. In the evening, make a campfire and fall asleep under the stars listening to the river below.
The hike is steep and appropriate footwear is required. All hiking is at your own risk. Although your path to the waterfall is private and the waterfall is on private property, there may be other guests or locals that access the waterfall further down the road. There is no glass or alcohol allowed at the falls.
Be aware that you may hear your camping neighbors in the woods. For this reason, we ask that you don’t play amplified music and keep noise down after 10pm to enjoy the sounds of frogs, crickets, owls, and night songs of the countryside
At the entrance to the campsites there is a barn community room with a charging station, cold water sink, fridge, coffee maker, cookware, and a port-a-potty. There are 5 gallon solar shower bags that you can use at your campsite. You are responsible for filling them and putting them in the sun to heat the water.
This is a leave no trace site. Take all your trash with you when you leave. Bring your own biodegradable soap for dishes and toilet paper for the port-a-potty!
Firewood is available onsite for $1 per log.
The Schoharie Valley is said to be the most fertile valley east of the Mississippi. It is still wild, unspoiled country and there are many local farms stands with fresh produce and organic meat close by.
Within a 5 miles radius is a general store, Scrumpy Ewe Cidery, Panther Creek Arts, Rooted Movement, the Sap Bush Country Store and Café, and Mustang Valley (a wild mustang sanctuary). Nearby hikes include Looking Glass Pond and Vroman's Nose, and others.

Stay in our cozy 8’x10 ‘ wall tent on a 14’x16’ deck built next to a waterfall. The site includes include a private outdoor shower and a well serviced outhouse per site. Relax in front of the fire pit and fire up the Traeger wood pellet grill and smoker while you enjoy the falls. You will have plenty of privacy, surrounded by woods, access to lush forest, and modern amenities such as: WiFiprovided by Starlink, queen bed, propane tent heater to keep you warm in the cooler months, Brooklinen sheets.
The property allows lots of beauty, peace, and serenity. Feel free to roam the 12 acres of woods, fields, waterfalls, and brooks. There are 3 historic waterfalls on the property. Within our small town, you can find all your essential needs met at the stores close by, as well as some great restaurants.
Area surrounding the site as well as the areas not surrounding the main house, are accessible with caution.
Access to the brook is at your own risk. Brook subject to flooding.

This is a beautiful piece of property located in the heart of the Finger Lakes and Wine Country of NY. It features a stunning spring fed waterfall and nice forest land. Very close to town but also very secluded and private. Great place to unwind and relax from our everyday lives. It is situated however in a gully next to a creek and waterfall so it is susceptible to heavy rains. It is recommended to at least have an AWD vehicle if rainy. I can usually help campers with getting to the site in my side X side if you need to park up at the pasture. Please order enough wood initially as I have found I spend a lot of time delivering extra wood to campers. It seems as if you will typically go through 2 bundles per night on average. Also I supply a contractor size garbage bag to you if you choose garbage removal. It is also a good idea to text me when you have a solid ETA so I can be here to take you to the site. I want to mention that the two sites closest to the waterfall are a slight hike in and can only accommodate up to 4 person tents so if a bigger group or vehicle camping you will be placed at another site. Towner's Country Paradise started out as a wild forest and pasture for cows in the 1940's, owned by Llewellyn Towner. In the 1960s, Llewellyn's love for aviation led him to construct a small airstrip and hangar, and then his son Terry began to plant Christmas Trees (no more cows) and clear much of the land. By the early 1970's our main and largest pond was built and since that time our fully functional cabin, several more fish ponds, roads, trails, running water and generated electricity have been added. Site guidelines
Bring loads of extra blankets and warm clothing. Boots are a must. Although the driveway is kept clear, car should ideally be AWD or 4WD depending on weather conditions.
Consult your campkeeper. Let your campkeeper know when you are arriving so we can light up entry for you. Cleanup all common spaces when you leave. But, make yourself at home.

Minglewood Camp is a place we built so people could escape from the hustle of our busy lives and find some peace in nature.
The cabin was built with respect for the environment. We constructed it with locally harvested and milled lumber and approached the build with minimal impact on the surrounding forest. The cabin is off grid and uses a small solar panel which charges a battery for the water heater and a light. We utilize rain water for the shower and sink which collects in a large tank. The bathroom functions with simple composting toilet. (Woodchips in a bucket)
The property is situated beside a creek and 90 acres of hardwood forest which campers are welcome to explore.

This campsite is nestled in the deep woods of a 120 acre farm that offers beautiful views coming and going. After being allowed to use the restroom at the stone farmhouse, you will then go rustic and start your 3/4 - 1 mile hike in (approximately 20 minutes to the campsite) past the fields and pond down the path into the woods. The trail is remote and you will instantly be able to leave the sights and sounds of civilization behind you and breath the clean forest air. Wear good hiking shoes because portions of the hike are uneven and rocky.
This site is best for experienced campers who know how to pack light with just the essentials as there is no tractor service to this campsite.
When you arrive at the campsite, you will be within 20 feet of a year round stream with brook trout and in a hundred foot tall hemlock canopy nestled between two brook meadows. A 9,000 acre forested preserve abuts our property so you will be able to completely relax, bird watch, enjoy the wildlife, or fish for a brook trout breakfast without hearing the sounds of anyone but yourselves.
The campsite has a stone fire pit, split log benches for seating, a canvas privacy blind around a stand of trees where the composting toilet resides, and a food bag lift to attach your food and trash bags to about 100 yards from the campsite.
Unlimited Split firewood is free next to where you will park that you can take down to the site. All trash needs to be carted out with you. We can't accept mixed trash as it will attract animals that will knock over the trashcans and make a mess. No food goes in our personal trashcans as we have learned this the hard way. Thanks!

This off-the-grid tiny house is nestled on a 23 acre parcel at the end of a quarter-mile dirt road. The property itself is secluded but is less than 2 miles from the heart of Saranac Lake's downtown. This property is bordered by the Saranac River, the backside of Baker Mountain and State Forest. The only other building on the property is our timberframe which we may or may not be at during the time of your visit. The property does have private trails up to the cliffs on the backside of Baker mtn however, the Saranac River is down a steep embankment so it does not make for a good place to launch a boat (several public boat launches nearby).
The Mt Baker tiny house is a great basecamp for hiking the Saranac Lake 6-ers, paddling/boating along the Saranac Chain of lakes or Saranac River, Mountain Biking at Dewey, Pisgah or other nearby BETA trails.
IMPORTANT DETAILS:
This tiny cabin is completely off the grid: no electricity, heat or cooling.
Queen sized bed - we provide the linens.
The driveway is narrow - so nothing in tow.
Drinking water is provided via jug and dispenser.
There is a brand new outhouse (no flushable toilet)
We have a designated spot for campfires (smores are a must)

3 nights at Majestic Farm & Organic Orchard
Majestic Farm's Tiny Orchard house is a gem hidden in the beautiful forest. We had wonderful experience - lots of space and privacy, but also meeting other guests at the common kitchen area. The cabin was amazing: one adult and 2 kids slept upstairs and one adult slept downstairs. There is no electricity at the cabin, so we brought lots of led lanterns and light strings to make it cozy. There is a short walk downhill to the lake. Also, the hosts are amazing - super responsive, and I strongly suggest to buy and cook their meats on the coals - tender, juicy, flavorful, finger-licking goodness!
Sam's point - very cool hike not too far away. Also, Braden Brook Stables are 15 min away.
Last but not least - warm shower in the middle of the forest is as ecstatic and tranquil as you can possibly imagine.

This time we stayed in VAN BY THE RIVER. What an experience! Nestled in the back of friendship field, tucked into a cozy corner by a babbling brook sung to sleep by songbirds and bugs!! Great for anyone wanting to dabble in van life!!

We booked this on a whim when other plans feel through, and it served us well. It was easy to get to, basically off the grid, but had the kitchen to make it practical. Property is gorgeous and house sites (2) were secluded and separate enough.
The food they offer and sell was absolutely redunkulous. Worth every dollar.
For early spring after a harsh winter, access was a bit muddy and challenging to traverse, but we that was disclosed so we planned accordingly.
Geographically, worked well for us. Only 35+ minutes to the Livingston Manor area and Mohonk hiking.

10/10 u should stay here. i usually dont even like glamping/cabins because i would rather just camp but this was very worth it. the cabin is isolated enough to feel like you are alone you dont even really notice other ppl are staying on the property. its the perfect size for a couple and we stayed with our cat too. the bathtub was so nice and having a covered bbq and pantry outside makes everything really easy. if you want to be outdoors/in nature but straight camping in the northeast winter/cold/stormy season is too much for you this is perfect. Sam is great and was always around if we had a issue or needed help with something. he let us pit fire some ceramics as well which was a blessing.

The river is so beautiful and peaceful that you can see and hear out the window. The cabin had everything you could need and Robyn was very quick and helpful with any questions. And the area is very dog friendly.. The heater was plenty warm for the cold nights.. I am a smoker and we were getting a little bit of rain so Robyn brought me over a canopy and set it up for me. I spent a day at Robbin's little cabin by the Poultney river with my partner, and it was so wonderful! The river is beautiful, and the cabin is cozy and felt like the perfect amount of space for a nice little dinner, cards, reading, having coffee. The cabin felt well stocked and Robbin was really responsive! I'd definitely come back :)

This was one of the most magical places we have ever been. The architecture of the building will leave you breathless. The surrounding forest was tranquil and private. Just a short walk to the treehouse and it felt like we stepped through a magical portal to arrive where we did. If you have kid or you yourself is a child at heart, Book at least a night. Sam was an amazing host! We got stuck on the icy road on his property and he came and saved us - with a winch but also humor and understanding! I never imagined a tent in the Catskills in February, surrounded by snow, could be so warm, but it was really comfortable sleeping in the tent. The sound of the waterfall was a beautiful white noise machine to help us sleep and just amazing to look at. The amenities were fantastic but the best thing was the mineral bath - the water was SO WARM and on a cold night that was especially welcomed. I would stay here for 1,000 years if I could!

Brought my girlfriend and her two pups to Robbin’s little cabin for a pre Valentine’s Day get away. The cabin is adorable and Robbin is a wonderful host. The cabin is well stocked and a perfect relaxation station for a little system reset. Had a a visiting Bald Eagle perch in the tree above me while I grilled some steaks on the little charcoal grill for dinner. We also enjoyed the fire pit and even took a midnight walking adventure on the snowmobile trail that was near by with the pups.

Robbin’s little cabin was immaculate. Exactly as advertised and so cozy and homy. I would 100% come back during some warmer times to enjoy the outdoor space. I recommend this place to any wonderful whimsical soul visiting this charming town.

We had a great weekend at the tiny house! It was thoughtfully equipped, comfortable, clean and homey. The propane woodstove kept us warm in the snowstorm. Neighborhood was quiet. We enjoyed breakfast at Perry’s in town. Great value for the price. We would return.

Sam has a wonderful, well maintained camp. He was eager to help in any way he could, and we never needed anything.
Things to note
Bath tub!!! Not hot tub!!! (Does have hot water)
The tent was PLENTY warm with the propane heater provided.
Tent kept out the wind, rain, and cold.
20 bucks for a wagon of pre chopped wood on site. wonderful price, great quality wood.
The snow was plowed perfectly but it was very icy. Just be careful.
11/10 would stay again.
