This is a beautiful piece of property located in the heart of the Finger Lakes and Wine Country of NY. It features a stunning spring fed waterfall and nice forest land. Very close to town but also very secluded and private. Great place to unwind and relax from our everyday lives. It is situated however in a gully next to a creek and waterfall so it is susceptible to heavy rains. It is recommended to at least have an AWD vehicle if rainy. I can usually help campers with getting to the site in my side X side if you need to park up at the pasture. Please order enough wood initially as I have found I spend a lot of time delivering extra wood to campers. It seems as if you will typically go through 2 bundles per night on average. Also I supply a contractor size garbage bag to you if you choose garbage removal. It is also a good idea to text me when you have a solid ETA so I can be here to take you to the site. I want to mention that the two sites closest to the waterfall are a slight hike in and can only accommodate up to 4 person tents so if a bigger group or vehicle camping you will be placed at another site. Towner's Country Paradise started out as a wild forest and pasture for cows in the 1940's, owned by Llewellyn Towner. In the 1960s, Llewellyn's love for aviation led him to construct a small airstrip and hangar, and then his son Terry began to plant Christmas Trees (no more cows) and clear much of the land. By the early 1970's our main and largest pond was built and since that time our fully functional cabin, several more fish ponds, roads, trails, running water and generated electricity have been added. Christmas Trees are still grown and harvested by Terry's son Scott Towner. Green rolling hills, deep valleys, a waterfall, ponds stocked with fish, a fully functional cabin, herds of deer, flocks of turkey and Canada Geese, & well-maintained roads and trails here in Addison NY. Family Camp at Ten Mile River Scout Camps is a unique public campground located on beautiful Lake Nianque. Designed as the scout camp for families, we offer an expansive program for youth and adults seeking a summer camp experience. The facility features secluded cabin sites, many of which are right on the shore. Family Camp is well equipped to provide a refreshing and enjoyable outdoor adventure for the whole family.
Our Lakeside and Family Camp is unique in that the entire family—from toddlers to grandparents—can participate in outdoor activities or spend the day relaxing in the beautiful, secluded forest. Most families return year after year for the fun, camaraderie, and togetherness of Lakeside.
From the last week of June up to the last week of August, we have a Camp staff to run daily programs suitable for all ages and provide access to program areas with experiences like handicraft and guided waterfront activities and even nighttime campfire programs!
Looking for a more private event, family reunion, or a couple’s romantic woodland experience? Our Schiff cabins are ideally located in a small area away from the bustle and excitement of Summer Camp programming but with access to the same fun all summer!

For generations, the majestic waterfall has been revered for its spectacular beauty. It’s considered a sacred site central to local land rematriation work with the Kanienkeha:ka.
Coursing between two outcroppings in a deep ravine, the waterfall crashes down over mossy rock shelves into emerald swimming holes and through dramatic clay beds. It’s one of those extraordinary spots on earth that make you feel like you’re in another world. The sites aren’t suitable for parties or loud groups.
It's about a 10 minute hike to the waterfall where you can spend the day swimming, exploring the clay beds and looking for fossils in the 280 million year old gorge. In the evening, make a campfire and fall asleep under the stars listening to the river below.
The hike is steep and appropriate footwear is required. All hiking is at your own risk. Although your path to the waterfall is private and the waterfall is on private property, there may be other guests or locals that access the waterfall further down the road. There is no glass or alcohol allowed at the falls.
Be aware that you may hear your camping neighbors in the woods. For this reason, we ask that you don’t play amplified music and keep noise down after 10pm to enjoy the sounds of frogs, crickets, owls, and night songs of the countryside
At the entrance to the campsites there is a barn community room with a charging station, cold water sink, fridge, coffee maker, cookware, and a port-a-potty. There are 5 gallon solar shower bags that you can use at your campsite. You are responsible for filling them and putting them in the sun to heat the water.
This is a leave no trace site. Take all your trash with you when you leave. Bring your own biodegradable soap for dishes and toilet paper for the port-a-potty!
Firewood is available onsite for $1 per log.
The Schoharie Valley is said to be the most fertile valley east of the Mississippi. It is still wild, unspoiled country and there are many local farms stands with fresh produce and organic meat close by.
Within a 5 miles radius is a general store, Scrumpy Ewe Cidery, Panther Creek Arts, Rooted Movement, the Sap Bush Country Store and Café, and Mustang Valley (a wild mustang sanctuary). Nearby hikes include Looking Glass Pond and Vroman's Nose, and others.

This campsite is nestled in the deep woods of a 120 acre farm that offers beautiful views coming and going. After being allowed to use the restroom at the stone farmhouse, you will then go rustic and start your 3/4 - 1 mile hike in (approximately 20 minutes to the campsite) past the fields and pond down the path into the woods. The trail is remote and you will instantly be able to leave the sights and sounds of civilization behind you and breath the clean forest air. Wear good hiking shoes because portions of the hike are uneven and rocky.
This site is best for experienced campers who know how to pack light with just the essentials as there is no tractor service to this campsite.
When you arrive at the campsite, you will be within 20 feet of a year round stream with brook trout and in a hundred foot tall hemlock canopy nestled between two brook meadows. A 9,000 acre forested preserve abuts our property so you will be able to completely relax, bird watch, enjoy the wildlife, or fish for a brook trout breakfast without hearing the sounds of anyone but yourselves.
The campsite has a stone fire pit, split log benches for seating, a canvas privacy blind around a stand of trees where the composting toilet resides, and a food bag lift to attach your food and trash bags to about 100 yards from the campsite.
Unlimited Split firewood is free next to where you will park that you can take down to the site. All trash needs to be carted out with you. We can't accept mixed trash as it will attract animals that will knock over the trashcans and make a mess. No food goes in our personal trashcans as we have learned this the hard way. Thanks!

If your looking for seclusion with quick river access, surprisingly good reception to listen to tunes on Bluetooth and a site where you barely have to bring anything as everything you’ll need or want is supplied and set up for you then you’ll find it as delightful as I did. Wildflower cabin was the most beautiful setting for a peaceful romantic summer weekend. The cabin was spotless, well maintained and welcoming. The bed was super comfy and especially loved the mosquito net even though bugs were never an issue. The trail to the waterfall was exhilarating and well worth the effort to experience the most beautiful falls and swimming hole. This was an unforgettable experience and we will definitely be returning.

This was the perfect spot for our “down the road from home” getaway night! Listing descriptions of the cabin, amenities, and directions were clear and accurate. The cabin and campsite area were serenely simple, private, and comfortable making it easy to relax into “just being.” The most special part of this place is the access to the waterfall— as the listing makes clear, it’s definitely a steep deer trail that requires care on the part of the camper to hike down & back safely. As a Schoharie County local, the waterfall on the property is such a gem that we were so happy to have access to and to see taken care of well. Our only suggestion would be to remove the big rock wedged between trees in the middle of the trail headed down to the cabin for safety. Oh! And maybe a logbook for campers to sign. :) Thank you for having us & we hope to return soon! ~Mya & Jake

I recently stayed at Majestic Farm in New York and had a wonderful experience! The campsite is beautifully maintained with spacious sites and plenty of privacy. The scenery is stunning—lush fields, woodlands, and great opportunities to see wildlife. The staff were friendly and always available if we needed anything. Facilities were clean, and the overall vibe of the place was peaceful and relaxing. I would highly recommend Majestic Farm to anyone looking for a restful getaway surrounded by nature!

Absolutely my favorite Hipcamp I’ve been to. The cabin was super clean. The amenities (outlets, chairs, blankets, pillows, lamps, nightstands) in the cabin were luxurious. The screens of the windows and door were all well secured. The hike to the waterfall is steep but not difficult if careful!!! We loved every second and amy is a great host :)

A lovely getaway with my partner. The waterfalls are the real highlight — genuinely gorgeous, and the little trail throughout the property is a nice touch.
Fair warning: it’s not as remote as I expected. You can occasionally hear cars, but honestly the sound of the waterfalls does a great job drowning it out. A small tradeoff.
Overall, a wonderful little escape from the city — nothing extraordinary, but a solid, beautiful spot to decompress.

Cute little cabin the woods!! Sam our host was great and responsive! The outdoor hot tub is awesome! Excellent set up for rainy weather too - the out door patio cover worked great and means you can grill and have a fire, even in the rain. FYI there’s power available and you should bring ice for the yeti cooler

This property is so beautiful I almost don't want to share because I want it available for the next time I want to book. Listening to the babbling brook while sleeping is the best part. The cabin has electricity and all the things you need. Bed is descent, it's super close to Watkins Glen and tons of hiking options. We brought our own portable shower because the brook is way too cold to rinse off in. The waterfall is a little extra bonus. Luke stayed and hung out with us all day Saturday and is a sweet boy!
