Sunnyland

5 sites · RVs, Tents10 acres · Comptche, CA
Over the years, this town has attracted artists, musicians, writers and wine lovers from all over the world in search for inspiration. Here, you can explore Mendocino County's exquisite wineries, enjoy restaurants, coastal landscapes, beaches , redwoods, pygmy forests. The list goes on and on for recreational activities. Sunnyland is a very remote and rural location. Beautiful redwood grove campsites. Hiking trails all over the property, scoping hundreds of different wild mushrooms growing everywhere. Bird watching too! We have two very friendly Great Pyrenees, 2 cats, 6 ducks and 10 chickens. Fresh farm eggs available. These animals are all located near the house, and not near the campsites. If you have very friendly, non-chicken chasing or dog fighting dogs, they are welcome. The tiny cabin that is available is located near the house. We will do our best to give you your privacy. And if you want to hang and chat that's great with us. Kids are absolutely welcome. Cell service is spotty for some carriers. Wifi is available here up at the main house if needed. Water is available at the main house or gardens. Campsites are private.

Running Springs Ranch

2 sites · Lodging51 acres · Ukiah, CA
Welcome to the 2024 Season! After all the glorious and much needed rain (and admittedly a small dose of cabin fever), we're very excited for some sun and warm weather. The skies are blue, the lavender will be blooming soon and we're looking forward to seeing you! In our ongoing effort to ensure the health of our guests and the farm, we're asking everyone to please continue to use the provided hand sanitizers when in the shared facilities and if you're not feeling well, we're happy to help you re-schedule your visit. Thank you so much for your support in keeping everyone healthy! Warmest Regards and Happy Summer! Steffny, Brodie, Sophia & Ranger -------------------------------------------------------------------- Stay in one of our private, beautifully furnished platform tents and enjoy the gorgeous mountain views from your own front porch while you breath in the fragrant lavender scented air. Orr Hot Springs is just up the road or take a very special hike through a protected redwood forest at Montgomery Woods. Settle into the peaceful surroundings and see stars like you've never seen them before. Our fur babies will happily greet you with some dog kisses while we show you to your tent. Fresh, pure spring water is also provided at no charge. We're a working lavender farm and you're welcome to participate in whatever we're doing during your stay, just let us know. Please plan on checking-in before 8pm, we work hard and really need our sleep. : ) Hope to see you soon! Note: You may see some photos of twin beds, but this is no longer the case. BOTH sites now have one queen bed.

Lightworks ranch

8 sites · RVs, Tents85 acres · Willits, CA
The peace, quiet and beauty of nature is the theme at our property.  This land is dedicated to the re-sacralization of culture. The spot was an ancient Native American camping area.  People have found arrowheads, stone beads and grinding stones on the land.   We offer various types of camping sites, as well as a teepee - so please read each listing for specific amenity and location information. We sell firewood, fresh eggs, and raw honey on site. The amount and variety of wildlife is astonishing, with bear, deer, turkeys, fox, coyote, bobcat, Eagles, River otter, salmon and steelhead, with a wide variety of songbirds during migration. Easy access from road, close to town, tall oak trees, privacy, creek with salmon within a five minute walk, mountains, wildlife, barn owl nest box. Guests love staying here: "Elderberry camp was really great! It was a large site, plenty of space, shade, and parking. Very peaceful and good distance between other sites although we were pretty much the only campers out there. Outhouse was clean and there was drinking water. We spent most of our Saturday in Eel River which was great. The water was perfect for swimming and fishing, our husbands caught some big ones. Stephen was very nice and accommodating, the honey and eggs we asked for were a nice addition too!" Helpful0 Report

Truly Scrumptious Sunrise

1 site · Tent55 acres · Ukiah, CA
Edit this property description on Hipcamp with proper grammar and punctuation: My parents dragged me up here from Bezerkely when I was seven years old in the Back-to-the-Land movement. Soon after I went feral. This 55 acre property is part of a sprawling 5500 acre homeowner's association, protected by covenants set into place by the hippies who invaded Mendocino County in the 70's. My childhood was spent roaming the woods with my little nekkie buddies, learning how to breathe in the land's wisdom in every nook and cranny. It is my honor and pleasure to share it with you. Please help me protect this land for all the generations, not just humans, but for all the creatures who call this place home. I call this campsite "Truly Scrumptious" because my childhood kitty cat is buried here under the big oak tree, and her name was Truly Scrumptious. I named her after the leading lady in the movie Chitty-Chitty Bang-Bang. When you come to visit my land, you will be sharing sacred ground with me. I will be happy to host you to have a wonderful, restorative, nature-immersed visit.
