Located in the coastal prairie minutes from the Pacific Ocean and the town of Point Arena. Plenty of privacy to launch into day trips and other adventures in this special corner of the world. The Octagon and the campsite offer solitude, stunning views, bird watching, and walking trails on the property. We're 5 mins from town, the cove, various beaches, tide pools, the historic lighthouse, fishing spots, and the B Bryan Animal Preserve where you can view African animals and hand feed giraffes. Come find what you've been missing!

We planned to spend one night in Pt Arena and definitely didn’t want to land in a RV Campgrpund… locus solus took care of us! We knew exactly where we were spending the night… it was mostly level area on a mountain ridge prairie… absolutely beautiful in the evening and morning coastal fog.

Really beautiful, special place. I wanted something that felt like camping but with a toddler, that isn't always the easiest thing. This was a great place to bring our little fam. Chris was very responsive and helpful!

Locus Solus
This was an easy pull up and car camp location for us and our 2 small kids. It felt very secluded and private with simple clean campsite. The bathroom was very elegant reclaimed wood, very clean with tea and a hot shower- perfect for warning up in the cold coastal fog. Definitely would come back.
