Ravens Nest was a quiet place to camp in the woods. It was trailer flat with no amenities just solitude. It is near some beautiful California coastline and beaches of Point Arena.

Raven’s Nest is a well-maintained clearing at the end of a short gravel road in a dense forest. We loved the quiet and privacy and the convenient access to town. Bill provided extra clear directions. He also took the time to tell us that arriving early and/or staying late would be fine since the site wasn’t booked the day before or after, which was a nice touch. We would definitely stay here again on a future trip to this area.

PRO:We appreciated the level/flat, quiet, and private spot and when taking our dog for a walk from the site we discovered a dirt road through the forest that led to “A Better Place Forest” a beautiful area of redwood trees and white oaks. It is a well managed forest for clients to bury the ashes of their loved ones. Benches for contemplation and small tree tags that discreetly identify the locations.
Con: Apple and Google Maps to the Ravens Nest campsite were misleading…

On my pilgrimage up the coast from New Mexico, I ended up at the Point Arena lighthouse. It was cloudy that evening and getting dark and I knew at that moment I should just camp and get some good rest before I head to the Redwoods.
I reached out to William at Ravens Nest and told him my situation and he immediately responded.
He gave very clear directions which I appreciated the extra clarity.
William made sure that if I needed anything that I could let him know.
Ravens nest was peaceful and I felt very safe and held by the forest. The site was clean and gave me a sanctuary to rest so I could get back on the road the next morning rejuvenated.
As I had randomly stumbled upon Point Arena and wasn’t familiar I was guided by William to check out the harbor and get coffee at Cove Coffee. And after a nice walk on the harbor, a conversation with a local while watching people hit the waves before they start their day, I ended up at Frannys Cup n Saucer—I’m speechless
Wow, so glad the lighthouse sent me to the Ravens Nest. Thanks for your hospitality William!

Beautiful spot! The site was large, secluded, clean and has a wonderful open area for star gazing. We will definitely come back! It’s in the forest but the coast is just about 5 min drive away with fantastic hiking trails along the shoreline. Lots of whale sightings.

Nice private spot, easy and close for touring the Point Arena area. Great paths along the cliffs. While you are out, go to Arena Cove and enjoy amazing food and coffee at Cove Coffee (7am-3 pm)!

It’s basically a reservable, private, boo docking spot. Plenty of room and privacy and works well if you have dogs. There is an old dirt logging road next to it that winds through the forest to other trails.

I enjoyed tent camping on this cozy, private spot in the woods. It was quite beautiful with several flowering bushes and was very clean. Host was most helpful and I would recommend. Site is as described, or even better!

Raven's Nest RV Spot
Exactly as described. Close to a road but secluded and quiet overnight. No frills, just a flat, very private spot to park surrounded by trees. Perfect for my guardian breed (Great Pyrenees) pup as she got to relax without a bunch of stimuli to alert to and bark at. It is a fantastic spot to stay and explore the Mendocino coastline.
If you stay, I highly recommend checking out Franny's Cup & Saucer for baked goods and coffee just 5 minutes away, on 1 in Point Arena.

It was a level, large space, surrounded by huckleberry and other shrubbery and trees, and felt quite private. It was only a short distance off 10 Mile Cutoff, so you could hear cars passing, but there were very few after dark. A little expensive for what it was, but a guaranteed private overnight parking place in a popular area.

Quite private and easily 200 yards off Tenmile Cutoff Rd. No signs (as is often the case for HipCamp sites) and a bit tricky to find, would not recommend trying to find it after dark! Stay on the main dirt road off Tenmile, don't take the smaller steep dirt road off to the right. Lovely site surrounded by Huckleberries, madronne, fir trees and other native plants.

We loved camping here on William’s land while exploring Point Arena and Gualala!
We got to meet and chat with host William and he gave us some neat things to do and see in the area. We loved walking the trails and hitting the local beaches with the dogs. The area is gorgeous and peaceful.
The Co-op market in town was our regular spot. Lots of great produce and grocery items!
We are on a one-year RV trip across America, join our adventure!

We had a great time at Raven's Nest RV Spot! The host was responsive and helpful, check in & out was simple, the area felt very safe and the drive to the spot is beautiful. We enjoyed the foggy mornings in the forest and getting coffee and baked goods in the nearby town of Point Arena. A quiet and relaxing, tucked away space to park your RV or similar vehicle.
