We came to town for a wedding and stayed at the Nelson family Vinyard on their property across from the Vinyard. We had a larger fifth wheel and we were a little concerned about getting it up the hill and being able to turn around but we did and we were so happy! Greg came over to check on us and make sure we made it ok and was very welcoming. We tasted wine Saturday morning before heading to the wedding and their wines are just as great! The sparkling was soooo good! If you’re thinking about it, do it, and also go check out the tasting room. You won’t be disappointed!

We stayed two nights and I would highly recommend Nelson Family Vineyards. There were two options for places to camp, a spot near the tasting room with beautiful views of the vineyards, or an area on the other side of Hwy 101 on a hill with gorgeous views. We picked the hillside and stayed in spot 6, the sites there are super big and the views are incredible. We barely saw anyone else the entire weekend other than some curious cows.
We did the hike they recommended around the property and the views were amazing the whole way.
We would love to stay again.

great location, however the sites are so narrow that it's hard to have any space outside your camper to put a chair. We stayed 4 nights and wanted to enjoy the view ....

The location and landscape is beautiful. The directions were thorough and welcome packets were available after hours. The packet said the campsite we chose because of no 4x4 had several sites. Yet it only really had one that was level, and it was taken. The other places to park were not level. We have levelers but it was a bit of a challenge in the mud, at night. We were happy with the location. It was quiet and all we were grateful to stop in a quiet place to camp for the night.

Loved the winery background for the camp site. Stayed not on the hill east of 101, but on the winery grounds west. Far enough away from 101 to not hear the traffic. Wine tasting just a short walk from camp was a real bonus!
Did hike on the east side in the property. Glad I didn't try to take my trailer up to camp there while it was raining. A bit steep, but the hike was terrific. Ran into a bunch of cows but the took off when realized we didn't have any food for them.
Terrific place to stay.

We had an amazing view, perched behind a beautiful old oak tree. Views of the vineyards and surrounding hills. We stayed for 2 nights, waking to quiet mornings, and taking the dogs through the vineyards for walks. We also took the 4 mile hike on property. Definitely some hills to climb, and we lost the trail at one point so hiked around the hillside slope, which was a little tricky. The cows came to check us out, but didn't bother us (we were told they were friendly). Beautiful views on the hike of other neighboring vineyards. Would highly recommend staying here - and oh yes the wines were lovely. We are told they are a sustainable winery, which we love to hear.

We would recommend this hipcamp to campers with smaller rvs or trailers with 4 wheel drive. It’s a beautiful location with incredible views!

Amazing property, the sites are much further apart than most campgrounds and it's got amazing views. It feels remote and it's still near town. We took our 2wd RV and it was awesome 😎🙏

Beautiful views. So peaceful. Very quiet, even with multiple other campers. Very quick response time. There were weddings being set up with extra traffic, but not close to where we camped. Would definitely recommend.

What a wonderful place to escape! We came from Santa Rosa to get away from the city lights to watch the Perseid meteor shower. The views did not disappoint. We were in site 6 with beautiful views all around. Relaxed under the shade of the oak trees, watched the woodpeckers. Hiked the trail late morning. Pretty strenuous but beautiful. 3.5 miles. 560 ft elevation change.

We love to stay here on our way up north. It is a primitive site with no amenities but we don’t need any with our rig. Love to do wine tasting before we set up camp. Views, cows, birds, wine!

As I pulled in there is a roadside fruit stand with local strawberries for sale. The setting is gorgeous - a valley carpeted with vineyards surrounded by oak studded hills. You are graciously greeted at the vineyard and can do a wine tasting if you like. I parked under a giant oak that overlooked the vineyards.

Had a beautiful stay at the Nelson Family Winery and Ranch! Gorgeous area, peaceful setting, and relaxing. I was able to snag the spot under the enormous oak tree that was extremely cozy and away from the hustle and bustle of the RV's down the road.
My conversation with Tyler who runs the grounds for the visiting campers was a wonderful bonus and I'm excited about the new river spot that will be opening soon!
