Truly lovely space. Platform is solid, campfire area is great, and the bathroom makes it feel so comfy. The shower is magical. I will happily return here! Heads up there are a decent amount of mosquitos, so come prepared for that!

Old dogs still camp

We don’t usually glamp but having 2 seniors dogs makes tent camping hard. This really made it easier and safer for them. This is a gem of a place and we really enjoyed our stay. We are seasoned campers so we brought our own kitchen box to cook at the site and a hammock for relaxing. I recommend bringing a folding wagon to take your stuff up to the spot. It’s not a haul in anyway but the wagon was helpful.

I loved camping at Elisa’s place! Everything was thoughtfully set up, and the outdoor shower was such a unique and enjoyable experience. Toilet paper, hand soap, dish soap, a flush toilet, you name it, they had it! And there were BANANA SLUGS on the property, which were so cute! They also have a punching bag and a huge backyard area to explore. You could easily spend hours wandering around, and honestly, we didn’t even have to leave Elisa’s property during our stay. Elisa is incredibly kind, responsive, and easy to communicate with. I felt completely safe and comfortable throughout my visit. A couple of tips for future campers: 1. Bring mosquito repellent—there were quite a few mosquitoes during our stay. 2. If you are uncomfortable around dogs, be sure to let Elisa know in advance. Cane is very friendly and adorable, but I’m personally nervous around dogs. I had assumed Cane was a small dog, but he’s actually quite large! Elisa was very accommodating and even took Cane out for a ride while we were there. During our stay, Cane was kept away from our camping area, but Elisa mentioned that he normally roams around the property in the mornings and is kept away at night. Just something to keep in mind if you’re not used to being around dogs.

The site was beautiful, but it was closer to the house and the other site than expected, and didn't feel as private as the description implied. We could see right into their backyard. Also, there were a lot less berry bushes than implied. Otherwise, we had a great time! The hosts were very nice and gave us lots of room to enjoy the nature around us, and their pup paid me a surprise visit as I was making breakfast. The bathroom was wonderful, and there was an outdoor sink for washing dishes, which was really nice and unexpected. The outdoor shower was really nice and it was a lovely experience to shower in nature. Overall really lovely and a great choice for our trip!

Lovely campsite

Lovely campsite. The outdoor shower, outdoor kitchen and toilet were great. I didn’t use the fire pit but it was pretty spacious between the tent site and fire pit. You are about 100 yards from the house. There is also a cabin right next to the tent site so not very private if someone rents the cabin also. It was fine for me as a solo camper.

The cabin was very cozy and was what we were looking for. ~15 min to dtown Mendocino, and Albion has its own small grocery store nearby. It feels very woodsy and quiet, and the trail the property connects to goes out quite far into nature. So many mushrooms! Used the hot bath a lot, the outdoor shower we couldn't figure out, but it was cold to be out there anyway. The ladder that goes into the bedroom upstairs works but is definitely for younger/more able bodied folks, and I couldn't imagine getting up in the night to use the bathroom, so we ended up using the sofa bed. Thanks so much to host Elisa for being very responsive and helpful.

Our host Elisa was very helpful and communicative! The view outside our cabin was beautiful and peaceful. When we did run into people living on the property, they were friendly and kind. When exploring the area there were a lot of different mushrooms and birds to enjoy. My only complaint would be that the ladder to the loft bed was hard to climb and the couch bed was uncomfortable. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay!

My friend, her dog Wicket, and I camped on Elisa's land. We stayed in her glamping yurt and it was perfect. It came with towels, utensils, tea and coffee, and an electric kettle. Though Wicket was being protective and barking at everyone 🥴, he loved being there. Elisa and her family were so kind about it. Their dog was the sweetest. Oh and I loved the outdoor shower. I felt like a woodland fairy using it. Thanks again for the hospitality.

Bell tent for two in the Redwoods

I would stay here again! Super cute and well appointed cabin. I loved the large bathroom and claw foot tub, and the giant window right in front of it looking out towards redwoods. The cabin felt private enough with comfort that the hosts weren’t too far away on the land.

The bell tent was very convenient for our trip to the Mendocino coast. The tent was equipped with two clean beds small table and towels for the amazing outdoor shower. The shower alone is worth it! We also got a chance to glimpse at the larger tea tent on the platform and that looked really special. When we return, we would select that one. A very delightful getaway!

Tree shower awesomeness

We loved the scenery and how close it was to the coast for beach access. There was a convenience store very close for any essential items you may have forgotten. Cute and quaint tent with two twin blow up sleeping mattresses. Would recommend you bringing a wagon if you have a lot of things (like a propane cook top or heavy ice chest) since you do not park right by the campsite. It’s a good 50ish yards maybe? Still doable, not a problem, just wanted to save someone’s else’s knees LOL. Overall great and will be back.

We had the pleasure staying at Elisa’s tent and the cabin and honestly I loved this tent even more than the cabin. It’s HUGE. My 6’4 partner could fit and move around comfortably. Bed and bedding was honestly so comfortable and warm. There’s electrical outlets in the tent and there is a hot kettle and tea bags. A bathroom with running water and soap about 20 steps away. The tree shower is so neat. This would be a super cute property for a couple family’s with the common area feeling like a campsite. Loved it so much and would recommend to anyone wanting to camp with some electricity and running water. The host was super responsive and instructions were easy.

I loved this stay so much! I am going to try and stay again in the future so I can spend more time here - I spent most of the day out exploring Mendocino, and next time, I would want to spend more time in the tiny house/the property itself! Some of the highlights: - Bathtub with the large window and forest view + the outdoor tree shower were fantastic - The tiny house decor was so cute! I loved all the thought and details put into it - Upstairs bed was pretty cozy and warm, and had a few great spots to chill out and read - Excellent vinyl options for the record player - There’s a small grocery/deli about 10 minute drive from the hipcamp, and you’re about a 10 minute drive to downtown Mendocino, and 30-40 minute drive to fort Bragg - Communication from the host was great!

If you're looking for pure magic then stay here! I felt like I was in fairytale amongst the beautiful redwoods. I felt right at home in the tiny cabin. Enough privacy and close to the incredible, outdoor shower! Super close to downtown mendocino and other state parks nearby.

Cot was uncomfortable with no cushion and a bar in the middle. If we didn’t had our own pillows and sleeping bags, I wouldn’t have been able to get any sleep. You could definitely find that level of comfort in a park instead of someone’s yard and with less hidden fees.

Staying at this spot was such a treat! You can definitely see all the care that’s put into the details. Upon arrival, I immediately had to check out the record collection and put some vinyl on to set the vibes just right. Went to check out the rest of the cabin and was delighted at the site of the gorgeous bathtub in the bathroom. Highly recommend taking a dip for yourself. Also! The outdoor shower was INCREDIBLE! It’s just around the corner from the cabin. It’s beautifully constructed from a redwood tree, with stone inlays at the base, and perfect water pressure that gets toasty warm. We settled in and once it was dinner time, decided to head out to Mendocino and try one of the many tasty restaurants in town. Def recommend checking out Fog Eater (a southern-inspired vegetarian spot). Thoroughly enjoyed staying at this Hipcamp. Such a peaceful, rejuvenating location.
