We are mere minutes from the quaint towns of Valley Ford, Tomales, and Dillon Beach, and a short drive from Bodega, Bodega Bay or Marshall, Pt. Reyes Station and Inverness. Nearby attractions include: Sonoma Coast beaches, Pt. Reyes National Seashore, coastal hiking trails, local farm-to-table eateries. Inland attractions include: redwoods, wine tasting, Russian River activities and so much more. The ranch borders Hwy 1, so there is some degree of road noise. Traffic usually dies down mid afternoon, and isn't too much of a disturbance. Virtually all traffic on our stretch of road is daytime traffic. Bill’s land was one of the best hip camps I have ever stayed at! The Indonesian bedroom was so serene and I slept like a baby with the heated bed. The bathroom was so beautifully decorated with ornate paintings, little treasures, and the stained glass window was intricately stunning. The hot tub was a bonus and it was extremely close to the town of Petaluma and hiking trails. You definitely should stay here for a romantic getaway!

After a week in the bustle of Carmel and Carmel Valley we needed a quiet place to stay going north. A three plus hour drive to the ranch was enough. Having a perfect place to camp by ourselves and not having to deal with anyone was ideal. A few cows came up the fence and checked us out. The night was dark and very quiet and being treated as a capable adults and taking care of ourselves was ideal. Will definitely stay there again.

Site 4 of the Meadow Grove is the best site in terms of location, view and privacy. It's up and over a knoll and backs up against a bigger hill. The new picnic table is great and there is a little tree to pitch tents under. Green, lush grass abounds. The site did get some traffic noise from the main road further away on a Saturday night but otherwise was a very nice experience.

My husband and I were testing out a camper van and driving down the coast and we enjoyed this spot! It’s peaceful and quiet with pretty views of the sea in the distance. Art was very friendly and communicative about accessing the spot, etc. It was very easy to find - even in the dark and in the fog - because of Art’s instructions. As others have noted the porta potty is a little ways away and down a hill so just be aware of that when you book. We would definitely stay here again!

John was great about sharing all the important details, so there were no surprises…location was ideal for my trip, and to wake up in a beautiful, oak-studded meadow with birds singing all around? Perfection…don’t forget to visit the Felton Baba temple to meditate, stretch, or just BREATHE. Excellent hosts and a beautiful spot, highly recommended!
