Laurel is so sweet and thoughtful. The cabin is so cute, and she had the windows open and fan running when I arrived to cool the space.
The snacks and coffee station were such a lovely touch - fresh fruit and sweet treats, an electric kettle and French press, mini fridge, wifi, and a super comfy bed!
It's really peaceful and such a little sanctuary.
The bathroom is accessed by a very short walk through the backyard. The stars were gorgeous at night, and the hummingbirds, blackberries and Oleander were beautiful during the day!
There's a restaurant walking distance, and a trail network just a short mile or so away.
I stopped for a night before a 50k race in the Marin Headlands, and this was exactly what I needed.
Nothing fancy (you want fancy, rock on with your $200 AirBnB), but such a perfect spot for a solo gal who likes to camp and wanted something that felt fancy to me. ❤️

I stayed at Egret’s Nest for one night only and regretted not being able to stay longer! The place is really cozy and comfy for 1 person and the yard/surroundings are beautiful and serene

Egret's Nest is a peaceful, beautiful cabin. Laurel, the host was gracious and kind, and always responded to my messages. I appreciated this lovely, comfortable place to stay. I was at Spirit Rock for a meditation program and I recommend Egret's Nest for a single person or couple looking for an place to stay that's near Sp. Rock and affordable.

Wonderful cottage in a garden next to Lagunitas Creek and Point Reyes! Very kind hostess with good local tips. Highly recommended.

Although host Laurel was cordial and did her best to set us up, the place did not leave us with a good feeling. The room appeared to be fine for a short stay, but smelled thickly of dust and the sheets made us itch. Overall the cleanliness was not at all up to our standards. The shared bathroom is in rough shape and has a fair amount of mold and was simply unclean, ultimately this led us to leave before the end of our stay. I hate to leave a poor review, but even for a hipcamp in someone's backyard which is expected to be a bit rustic, we would not recommend this one.

Laurel is a delightful host, so friendly and welcoming. The cabin is pretty basic but comfortable. I would definitely return again. For me it was a great spot to launch from for hikes and exploring pt reyes.

The Egret’s Nest was the perfect place for a peaceful getaway. Spent the day enjoying Point Reyes and the evening enjoying the sweet little cabin. Laurel was delightful and really made me feel welcome. My favorite part had to be the deer outside my window each morning. The bathroom is very close to the cabin and wasn’t an issue. I highly recommend!

We had a great stay on a biking adventure on the cheese trail. Very comfortable and highly recommended. Loved the restaurant down the street also which was very convenient. Good vegetarian options there also!

I was welcomed when I arrived. Lots of special touches in the little cottage. The bed was super comfortable. Great location too.

Very comfortable cabin near a creek in Laurel’s yard. It is conveniently located, next door to Samuel Taylor state park and relatively close to both Point Reyes National Seashore and Muir Woods.
