Thanks The Meadows!
It's simple, but it was exactly what I expected and was hoping for. Not much shade or wind protection, so bring your own.

Camping at The Meadows
The Meadows is a cool camp site - nice and large - wide open views out across the Delta. Can see Mt Diablo in the distance (during day - if you have full moon could probably see it at night). Nice starry sky. Sometimes it's windy, be prepared (was during our stay)!

Outstanding.
2nd time here, even better this time. Quiet camping, gorgeous sunset towards the windmills and enjoyed an outdoor shower at sunrise. Also, highly recommend walking to town, grabbing a zombie sandwich at The McBoodery and eating it with a couple beers at Mei Wah Beer Room. A+ PS there's a working sink, outdoor shower, and a portable toilet. Yes, a portable toilet. No secret. So don't book a spot knowing it to be a fact and then complain there's only a portable toilet in your review.

Camping in the outfield!
We were staying at a nearby state park that suddenly closed, we packed up and opened the HipCamp app and found The Meadows nearby. They accepted our booking quickly and helped us get settled in. We enjoyed our stay and were grateful for the almost instant booking.
The only negatives were the cold outdoor shower, and though the facility was largely empty the night we stayed, based on the layout of the campground, a busy night might be very crowded with no privacy between sites.
Positives include the weather, the 'camping in the outfield' energy of some of the
Nestled between a large vineyard (?) and a softball field this was more than adequate for a quick night out in the California Delta.

Quiet & Isolated (but ...)
Quiet & Isolated but ... The town has pizza!
It's basically a series of parking spots in an open field (next to a baseball diamond) on the outskirts of town. But it's also pretty quiet. If you're traveling through the area, it's a nice stop to rest and recuperate.
It's a little hard to find. Look for the church they tell you to find and then look at the baseball field. The entrance is right at the corner of left field and runs towards center. :-)
The town is small and is a nice little walk (only 5-6 minutes away from camp). And check out the pizza joint. It's seriously upscale and yummy (in a small town sort of way). I enjoyed every bite.
I was there for four nights doing a regroup after having my bus in storage, getting ready for the resumption of skoolie life. The night breezes were fabulous, as were the sunsets.

Beautiful property and amazing sunset! The host came and greeted us to make sure that everything was to our liking. The sites are very large, plenty of room for games. Definitely will be coming back!
