A gorgeous campsite among the redwoods in the Santa Cruz mountains. Ruth is super kind and helpful. And that pool was perfect to relax in after an epic hike.

Weekend Trip to Sleep Up High In A Redwood Tree-net

Sleeping up in the trees was so much fun! Louis was super friendly and helpful. The net felt very secure. Heads up for light sleepers - if anyone gets up in the night the whole net moves, so be prepared for that.

2 nights at Kings Mountain Camp w/ ocean views

This place is amazing!!! We stayed in the apartment and had an awesome view of the ocean although it’s mostly just clouds but it’s beautiful! Especially during sunset. The whole apartment was super clean and nice, and had an amazing kitchen with all of the essentials for cooking. She also gave us 4 eggs from the chickens on the farms, as well as a fire starting kit to make a bonfire right outside of the apartment. The outdoor area is super nice with a hot tub, amazing view, seating area and fire pit. Would definitely recommend this place!!!! Sana was also super helpful and responsive.

This is such a spectacular gem! The view was incredible, the hosts were warm and friendly, and the whole tent setup was well thought-out and comfortable. Everything was clean, from the bathrooms to the sundeck, and the mattress was top-notch. We will definitely be back.

Weekend Trip to Redwood Paradise Camping

Redwood Paradise is a magical place! The host, her son and dog were amazing and incredibly kind and welcoming. The mix of serene redwoods, classical piano music played by Marshall (host’s son), and Peruvian coffee in the morning make the ambience for this retreat truly unique. We were at site 2 which had beautiful evening lighting coming in just after 6 PM. Make sure your tent faces the west :) We highly recommend Redwood Paradise!

We absolutely adored our stay at Kings Mountain Fancy Camp. The property is a true oasis including incredible views/scenery and offers complete serenity. The tent itself is equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay and every single little detail has been considered to make this a true luxury glamping experience. The hosts, William & Sana, welcomed us like family and we hope to return again soon!

1 night at Hilltop Vineyard Dome Glamping

This was my first time dome camping and it was really fun! The sky was clear that night and you could see stars from the dome. The host was great, thank you!

Clear signage and communication. Plenty of space and great amenities of having a bathroom and picnic table

We had a great time. The campgrounds were clean and the dome is nice. Check out the tide pools at low tide. There are plenty of critters and anemones!

Art's camp was incredible. Art gave us detailed instructions on how to find the property, and guided us to the campsites. He responded to our questions and delays quickly and made us feel extremely welcome. We stayed at the Oak Grove campsite and also the Ridge campsite, both had a great view of the sunset, and felt very private. Highly recommend.

Weekend Trip to The Meadow Grove of Hands Full Farm

We stayed in campsite 4 which was set up on the hill above the other campsites. This provided a wonderful sense of privacy and solitude. We had no trouble getting our small truck and tear drop trailer up the hill, but at first it looked a little daunting. From site 4, the outhouses are a bit of a walk, so if you need to sit down, try to plan ahead. There is a wonderful, natural living room under the trees that provided shelter from the sun and a chance to commune with nature. We very much enjoyed our stay and look forward to a return visit.

The location and hospitality were amazing. Hot tub at night, coffee put out for guests in the morning, and a very nice host. And beautiful setting in the redwoods.

Weekend Trip to Felton Open Space Camp Sites

Great location. Bathroom access nice. 12 minute walk down the road to great hiking park. Keep your food guarded so any dogs around don’t get a snack. With advanced planning I would sign up for a wine tasting.

Easy to find, lots of space, chill atmosphere. I added a guest on last minute also and it was no problem. Would definitely stay here again! Good spot for dogs as well.

Very nice set up, multiple sites. All the sites are in a valley so you do hear everything. But it’s all pines and redwood trees all around. The road to the sites is steep and narrow but ok.

Weekend Trip to Kings Mountain Camp w/ ocean views

We love our stay and the host was friendly. To reach this tent it was bit of walk but just treat is like short hike. the tent was clean and cozy. it was so private as it is not closed to other tent. if you are lucky you can see the ocean (when it is no foggy) and sunset was beautiful. Will definitely visit again.

Weekend Trip to Felton Open Space Camp Sites

We really enjoyed camping on John’s site. We had a little glitch in the beginning, but John made sure to straighten things out and came by several times to make sure we were happy. The site is beautiful and just a hop, skip and a jump from great hiking. Also, very close to downtown Felton, which was convenient . The other campers were extremely considerate, and after dark, it was absolutely quiet. To be honest, this is a better campsite for people with self sustaining camping vehicles rather than tent camping. If you tent camp be sure to bring a table for food prep/eating and lots of water. The bathroom provided was very clean and well stocked, but quite a distance from where we camped. .That said, I will take a clean plumbed bathroom, a distance away over a stinky porta potty nearby any day of the week. I definitely want to come back.

I had a great stay at this campsite! The location is ideal—just a short drive or even walk to town, which made it super convenient for grabbing supplies, enjoying local restaurants, or just exploring the area. The campsite itself was clean, quiet, and well-maintained. What really stood out, though, was the host. They were incredibly communicative from the moment I booked—quick to respond, helpful and genuinely welcoming. It made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a quiet, no-frills stay close to the town of Felton with a host who cares about your experience.

3 nights at Felton Open Space Camp Sites

This is a wonderful place - quiet and shady ( and level.) The hosts are friendly and gracious, and the wines are very good with afternoon tastings. Very good location - walking distance to Felton (first 1/5 of a mile is on the road, no sidewalk but not too busy) with a few restaurants that we enjoyed. About a 15 minute drive to downtown Santa Cruz - and the beach. Highly recommend this place!
