Jandarra Farm offers a comfortable and peaceful camping experience on a working farm in the Gold Coast hinterland. Certified through Ecotourism Australia, Jandarra’s goal is to model and inspire responsible ecological stewardship and foster harmony and creativity to build a regenerative and abundant future. Jandarra means 'place of peace' and we honour this by having a maximum of 6 campers at a time. Guests can visit the rockpool, take a self-guided walk through the rainforest, book a sauna (see Extras), and enjoy a conversation around the campfire under the stars (BYO firewood or see Extras). Take a short, hot shower with a view of the hills, toilets, and a well-equipped camp kitchen (no microwave) inside a rustic barn with tables and chairs. Starlink is the newest additon to the farm, though will be turned off at night to keep with a wifi free environment when dark. The 135-acre farm in Tallebudgera Valley is home to cattle, chickens, worm farms and bee hives, plus local wildlife. Guests are invited to learn about regenerative agricultural practices such as how Jandarra is managing cattle to build soil biology and rebalance nature. This is primarily achieved through the use of holistic management practices - moving the cattle every day using electric fences (to replace the predators) and small paddocks (26 of them actually). As food security and clean food becomes more important than ever before, we can contribute in a small way to improving the quality of your soil to grow vegetables by providing short introductory sessions on worms and manure for your gardens. See Extras for more information. EXTRAS - We offer a range of Jandarra Experiences including: - Pop-up trailer, with linen (fully set up on arrival) - Pop-up trailer, BYO linen (fully set up on arrival, sans linen) - Infrared sauna (See Extras - $20 for half and hour, two guests. Turned on at specified times by host) - Cold plunge pool (See Extras - $10 for dip, single use. Turned on at specified times by host) - Firewood from farm $17 per crate - Organic muesli with Jandarra fruit - Jandarra organic eggs - Learn about the wonder of worms + optional worm farm starter kit to take home (subject to availability) - Take some crap, AKA manure, home (subject to availability) - Sew your own boomerang bag to take home ECOTOURISM CERTIFIED CAMPING Jandarra is one of two Hipcamp sites to be certified through Ecotourism Australia. This certification assures travellers that they are booking high-quality eco experiences. Our goal is to model and inspire responsible ecological stewardship and foster harmony and creativity to build a regenerative and abundant future. There are many places to wander, sit and listen. Over 90 bird species have been listed here if you are into bird watching. Jandarra is a registered Land for Wildlife property and we ask all guests to be mindful of wildlife and farm animals when moving around the property. SUSTAINABILITY The caretaker of this property co-founded "Boomerang Bags", a not-for-profit organisation raising awareness of plastic pollution through community engagement. There are over 1200 communities globally diverting material from landfill and creating habits of reuse rather than single-use. Therefore, drumroll...please bring reusable rather than single-use (eg beeswax wraps instead of cling wrap, real containers rather than takeaway) and take home any rubbish (you won't find any bins except for the food scraps). We would be very happy to show you how to make a boomerang bag for keeps on the industrial sewing machines that live in the garage. Let us know if you would like to try your hand and create a momento and useful shopping bag as part of the Jandarra experience (see Extras). ABOUT REGENERATIVE AGRICULTURE Jandarra is the 40th property in Australia to undertake the Ecological Outcome Verification (EOV) Process through the Savory Institute. EOV was developed in collaboration with leading soil scientists, ecologists, agronomists and an extensive network of regenerative land managers around the world. EOV is a practical and scalable soil and landscape assessment methodology that tracks outcomes in biodiversity, soil health, and ecosystem function (water cycle, mineral cycle, energy flow and community dynamics). Jandarra has 10 Short term monitoring sites plus one long-term monitoring site. By recognising both land regeneration targets and trends, EOV endorsement is bestowed as long as land health moves in a net positive direction with the second testing in April 2022 confirming this. We believe EOV gives the land a voice and through this process, provides us with feedback to make better management decisions. We welcome a conversation and to share more information when you visit. THINGS TO DO NEARBY - Walk the Ocean Track at Burleigh Heads National Park and cool off at Echo Beach - Picnic at the scenic Cougal Cascades in Springbrook National Park - Stock up on supplies at the organic food pantry and organic sourdough bakery in Burleigh - Dine at cafes and restaurants such as Parlour (the closest decent coffee), Wazen Japanese and JFK Italian less than 15 minutes drive from Jandarra. *No smoking or vaping on the property, please. *If you have a larger group wanting visit, please contact us directly.

Camp at Eastern side
A must see place
Beautiful property with a gorgeous view. Lots of places to camp, each with their own firepit. Fun communal area with table/chairs next to a lush vegetable garden and firepit. Plenty to do with rock pools and swimming ~1-1.5km walk away. It was very luxurious to camp and have access to hot showers, zero smell composting toilets, running water for washing hands and a shed kitchen which had appliances like a kettle, a toaster and ceiling fans for hit days. This place takes all the work out of camping. Tania was very hospitable and replies to messages quickly. Thank you for having us.

Camping Under the Stars
Tania is fortunate enough to have an incredible slice of paradise tucked into the valley. Not to mention a crystal clear creek to cool off on a hot summers day, which was an absolute pleasure. Thanks for being so welcoming, we will be back! Caleb & Sofie x

Tania was lovely and welcoming! Our elevated site was private, and the scenery is beautiful! The Rockpool is awesome although we weren’t brave enough to swim. The cows very very cute too! Thank you
