Great little spot, plenty of room to spread out if you require no power, always a short walk to the provided amenities. Definitely a spot we'll return to and recommend.

I had a enjoyable weekend camping at this site. I found looking at the lake throughout the weekend to be thereupetuic. I kept saying to my partner "I don't want to go home". Dogs are welcomed and my babies enjoyed their walks around the area.

Absolutely loved our time at Moggerah Lake. The camp grounds and facilities are well maintained. And the view from our Lakeview site was stunning 😍 Will definitely be returning!

Stunning views, highly recommend. Got the perfect site, right at the lake. Was able to take our kayak out, and my fur baby was worn out with walks, please note no dogs on the lake. Perfectly clean amenities with toilets and hot showers. Overall, this camp was perfect, and well maintained. Thank you.

Nice and quiet campground compared to the other options in the area. Great hot showers. But the ground could really use some better prep like grading and levelling, even for tent campers. Useable space suffers as a result.

Ben and Megan were lovely, as were the caretakers at the time, Nathan and Belinda. Couldn’t do enough for you. We wanted to camp as a group but the powered sites are quite spread out and a loooong way from the shared bathroom and showers. This made it difficult to have the group feel we enjoy.. The showers were AMAZING and one of the best I’ve ever had. A few things need repairing, such as the planks in the walkway bridge to the bathrooms are rotting and deteriorating, and the railings on the steps up to the toilets are very wobbly, if you’re after relaxed rustic camping with your pet and don’t mind walking a couple of hundred metres + (depending on where you stay) to the shower/toilet block then this is for you. Enjoyed our stay overall but glad we were in a caravan as it was very hot and dusty - air-con was a godsend! My friends who enjoy relaxed, self-contained rustic camping would enjoy this site.

We were able to set up as a group together. Fire pits and trays available to use. Access to lake was about 1 min walk for us and kids enjoyed very much using their SUP this time of year, water still great temperature for swimming.

Good location; however, the lack of designated sites creates tension between campers. There is no clear understanding of appropriate spacing, with early arrivals often spreading out as if they own the area when newcomers arrive. We experienced this firsthand when another camper yelled aggressively at us that they had ‘another car coming ya know,’ even though we were a reasonable distance from their group’s setup, off to the side. Meanwhile, they had a fire pit only 7 m from their own site and the middle of a perfectly good spot.

Cockatoo Bunk Cabin
We checked in for a night at the bunk cabin and although it says it’s a bush campground, we felt it was quite dirty, dusty and the facilities were very dated and not that clean.
Megan was super helpful to get us into a cabin at very short notice. If you are fully self sufficient using your own facilities it could be a good place to camp with water views.

Cabins are designed for school camps, with bunk beds with plastic vinyl covers, cabins were clean, no screen on windows, a little run down rotting wood on deck.
Not ideal for anything other than school kids cams really. We left and didnt stay the night. This wasnt suitable for us,

Koala Cottage
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. We had the Koala Cottage for two nights. It had all the creature comforts of home which was nice as the heavens opened up on our first night. Very well appointed, great stock in the kitchen with adequate utensils, appliances etc. would recommend to friends and family and will definately stay again. Only wish is that there was a boat ramp or a pontoon to get out past the reeds and tree stumps. I scraped and cut my foot on a tree root trying to go for a swim. A little dangerous for someone unsteady. It would be nice if there was a convenience shop even for icecream for the kids would be a plus! But, we had a fantastic time nevertheless. Thankyou to the caretakers for making us feel welcome!

We turned up and unfortunately they did not have our booking. The lady I called said they weren’t expecting us and needed someone to go in and clean it and for us to wait. She was apologetic and nice about it. The cabin was ready in 5 minutes. The cabin was old school bunks as advertised however could not use the deck as it was meant to be redone early 2025. It felt quite cramped and claustrophobic. We couldn’t see a boat ramp to put the boat in either. We did not stay the night.

Awesome experience. Rita site manager. Was amazing so helpful great local knowledge and extremely friendly. all the kids that visit had a fantastic time down by the lake as well as just riding their bikes around the site had a great relaxing stay. Ben and Megan greeted me as they were doing work around the camp and they were lovely all round. Great experience thanks very much. A big thumbs up.

Cockatoo Bunk Cabin
The organisers were fantastic during a very busy period. The bunk beds could have done with basic amenities such as table and chairs as there was no place to sit inside. Needed a bit of a dust as well.
Overall, the vibe was party-like, facilities were a bit dated but clean and tidy and surrounds were gorgeous. Probably best suited for those who want to let their hair down!

Good spot on water, easy checkin and friendly. Only issue is it is a free for all and not designated area so would be hard to get a spot away from big groups not a complaint just something to be aware of for location.

Beautiful site to camp. Good amenities and friendly staff.
I would suggest if there’s rain around you have a 4wd. You will struggle to get in and out with a 2wd in the wet as it can get quite muddy.
Will definitely be going back but will have a 4wd next time.
