OPEN ALL YEAR ROUND. Jack's Place is a family-owned retreat property just back from Cow Bay Beach in the Daintree Rainforest. The property has been in our family for over 40 years, being one of the first properties established in the region, named after Jack, a career railwayman & sugar mill operator, our beloved father, grandfather & great grandfather, who 'chucked' his only 'sickie' ever to get to the auction to purchase the property. The property has a lovely seasonal creek which usually flows in the wet season and can sometimes flow all the way through until June, depending on rainfall. There's a shared shed for campers to use. Plenty of lovely freshwater swimming holes in the area and we are about 1km to the beach. Can walk via bitumen road. Good access for all types of vehicles. No amenities so guests need to have everything they need including a toilet and leave no trace. Dog friendly. Campfire permitted in a designated fire pit. Plenty of wood around to gather your own. There are no crocs here but plenty of other wildlife!OPEN ALL YEAR ROUND. Jack's Place is a family-owned retreat property just back from Cow Bay Beach in the Daintree Rainforest. We ask that all Visitors to Jack's Place respect that the adjoining block & facilities (signed "Myrtlevale") is the Family's PRIVATE property & not open to the Public for use or visitation while enjoying your most welcome stay at Jack's Place.  All campsites "find your own spot". There are fit pits that we would prefer you to use and they may be moved around the campsite. Jack's Place
Nice spot, camping area is totally surrounded by bush, access to the creek was steep, slightly over grown and really slippery (however we were camping in wet conditions), heaps of fire wood available, beach is a short walk/drive.

Great camp spot!
We loved camping at Jack’s Place!! Jenny was an excellent host and despite the weather we had a fabulous time. Our friends also camped with their dogs and we all had a great time. The creek is wonderful for a dip but can be a little slippery and steep in the wet weather to get down to, so take care as there are also a few wait-a-while plants around. Was easy enough to find the right driveway although we did miss the sign the first time! Lovely spot and we will be back :)

Jack's Place
Unreal (dog friendly) escape
Jacks place was a perfect quiet escape for an adventure with doggos.. there was plenty of space and flat ground for a gazebo, fire-pits, perfect mix of sun and shade, beautiful freshwater creek to cool off in, and had the whole place to ourselves. Just down the road from cow bay beach (dog friendly) where there was bins to get rid of our rubbish and toilets too, any bad reviews of this place are clearly from people who don't actually enjoy the beauty and nature of the daintree and need to lower there expectations, for $20 a night this was value and has everything you need. So dont listen to the karens & stay at jacks place ✌🏼

Jack's Place
Rainforest retreat
Beautiful and secluded, the creek behind is great to explore and cool off. Got in with our 21.6ft van, a bit tight but manageable.

Jack's Place
Wonderful spot, plenty of shade for camps and sun for solar. We'll definitely be back.
