Everything but the kitchen sink was transported from Earthperks farm in North Carolina to Florida back in 2014. Historically, Cozy Freedom was occupied by the Timucuan Indians who hunted the forest and swamp land. More recent history of the property included a nursery and beekeeping location. Now, surrounded by horse farms and state forest, nature abounds. There's organic produce growing in fall, winter and spring. Ornamental nursery items are also being propagated. We have citrus trees and blueberry bushes, ginger and turmeric. Our resident bats help with the mosquitos. Our friendly four-legged friends romp around. What else do you need to achieve cozy freedom?! Learn more about this land: A serene location with 33,000 acres of state forest backing up to the property, an 11-mile direct run east into the Atlantic Ocean, and less than an hour from spectacular blue-water springs. Day trips to St. Augustine, Orlando, Cape Canaveral and Ocala.  Visit local Old Florida sites nearby, including Bulow Plantation Ruins, Tomoka State Park, and Barberville Pioneer Settlement. Take a day to hike or bike out in Tiger Bay State Forest without having to drive off the farm, or enjoy just hanging out on the farm. Outdoor kitchen, hot/cold private shower and designated campsites on 8+ acres.  Working produce/nursery farm.  Furry friends are welcome as long as they don't eat Chihuahuas! Electric and water available at Sites #1-3 and options available for remote tent sites without access to electric and water. Summers are hot and wet and mosquitos will drive you inside from mid-June through to the end of August. Wintertime is peaceful and ideal for camping in Florida, and we do have some nights that drop into the 30's, but most days are perfect to be outside. Enjoy staying put on the farm or safely leaving your belongings while visiting the sights in the area.  Someone is always nearby onsite, but privacy is respected. Property is situated on a thoroughfare between Ocala and Ormond Beach with audible traffic, so not ideal for individuals seeking absolute silence.

Cozy,comfy, & great vibes!
We had absolutely the best time camping at Earth Perks! Easily one of the best camping experiences ever. Farmer Rich was a wonderful host and went above and beyond to give my children a memorable experience. The property is beautiful and has so many extras that make camping here comfortable. I came with my 7 year and 4 year old and they are I love. Watching the bats at night and the Rocky the Dog was super friendly. Honestly, we just felt a great energy here and we have a lot of experience at different campgrounds. But Farmer Rich’s authentic hospitality and kind nature is something that will be remembered for years. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend camping here to anyone. Personally I know me and the kids will be back every chance we get.

We had a great stay at the farm. Site 3 in the back is very private and has 30 amp and water. Scenery was great and there was a screened room near the campsite with a kitchen and supplies. There are also 2 bat houses on the farm and seeing the multitude of bats come out in the evening was amazing and I’m assuming this was also the reason there weren’t many mosquitoes. Farmer Rich was very accessible if needed. Was a great stay and will stay there again when in the area!

Farmer Rich, Mindy and BATS!
We had an AMAZING time at Farmer Rich and Mindy's place! They were so sweet and accommodating... the site was great and had many necessary amenities like the kitchen area and outhouse....lots of hiking on property too. They also have bat houses and the evening bat exodus was SO cool! We definitely hope to come back and visit with them again soon!
