Recycling bins are provided, otherwise campers are required to take their rubbish with them. Wi-Fi and Telstra coverage are available. Rainforest Gateway is located approximately 8klms along Grady's Creek Road, just 20 klms north of Kyogle and 15 klms from the Queensland border on the popular scenic tourist route, Lions Road. Kyogle is a bustling town with an IGA supermarket, MTB riding tracks, lovely gift shops, cinema, bowling alley, and a selection of dining outlets. For those wanting to immerse themselves in nature, the Border Ranges National Park is a short drive away. Please note Lions Road is temporarily closed for road repairs and expected to be reopened late January 2026. Welcome to Aloomba Lavender Farm. We offer bush camping with powered and unpowered sites. This means you will not be placed very close to other vans unless you are friends and choose to be together. In many cases you will be able to choose where you wish to park. Not all sites are level, but you are able to site your camp/ van as you wish. There are no cement pads. There is access to toilets and hot showers. You may have to walk some distance to the amenities but the solitude, the quiet, safety and stars make all worthwhile. There is a dedicated firepit and firewood is supplied. We can supply no water other than sufficient to cook dinner. You are welcome to use some of the vegetables and herbs but not to strip the vegetable garden! If in doubt - ask. We have great coffee and Devonshire teas but we are not a cafe. However there is a great little lavender shop where you can buy our own lavender essential oil, or a cake of soap or a Baggallini Handbag. We are dog friendly! We welcome well behaved dogs. We are 20 km from Stanthorpe. You may see wildlife or cattle through the fence and an occasional vehicle going down the road. We have a sealed road all the way to our boundary and then drive through the lavender. If you visit in late November through to early December you will enjoy our lavender flowering, but the plants look very pretty all year around in neat rows. We are a commercial farm so there is the need to work to the rhythm of the lavender.

We are surrounded by the stunning valley views of Marra Marra National Park. Guests can enjoy hiking, wandering the orchard picking fresh produce, taking a tractor ride, feeding the animals and relaxing. Please note we are a working farm so sometimes tractors and vehicles can be heard working from 7am. There will be foot traffic and possibly tractor rides operating near some of the sites although we will do our best to respect your privacy while you are here. We also have a quarry surrounding most of the property, so they sometimes operate machinery early. This is not generally too disruptive though. We are just 15 minutes' drive from the beautiful historical Wiseman's Ferry and the Hawkesbury River. There are multiple hiking tracks located close by. We have several sites to offer around the property. We have a beautiful huge dam just 350m down the gully. It’s super peaceful although a steep walk down the driveway to access, it's definitely worth it, so pack your walking shoes and some swimmers.

Located on the Mid North Coast NSW, 4kms off the Pacific Highway, and a quick 13/15-minute drive to the holiday township of Port Macquarie. Port Macquarie is known for its beautiful beaches, coastal scenery and walks, koala hospital, local strawberry and tomato picking, and 4WDing at nearby beaches and through Cairncross State Forest. Bernard and Susan are custodians of the farm, primarily using the land for poultry (egg), pig, and goat farming. They are transitioning to an off-grid and eco-friendly lifestyle for their retirement. The Hatch Farm is home to many animals, most of whom are rescues - including border collies, cavalier king charles spaniels, chickens, ducks, pigs, sheep, goats, miniature horses, cows, cats, rabbits, and guinea pigs. There is plenty to do and see around the farm from complete relaxation, interacting with the friendly animals (there is usually a variety of babies to cuddle!), to casting a line or launching your boat from the rustic boat ramp. Please note that all animal interactions are self-led (including our animal nursery), and children must be supervised by their parents/carers. East Creswick Farm is a Tea Tree farm located halfway between Byron Bay and Brunswick Heads, with Mullumbimby just down the road. Very easily accessed, it includes large areas of flat paddock as well as secluded spots up on a hilled area surrounded by native and plantation trees. We are just getting started and intend to improve the property over time. We hope the price and flexibility reflect the current state of the land, and we are always aiming to improve the amenities as we go. The property is best described as central, easy, and affordable rather than pristine and tranquil. It is a working farm where you may see tractors from time to time, and while it is "rough around the edges," it is clean and functional. Please note that we border the highway, so depending on where you are on the property, there is some road noise. Except for during Blues Fest, there are no toilets on-site, so you will need to be fully self-sufficient. During periods of heavy rain, the ground in some areas can become boggy, so we may need to limit space on the flat paddocks and have you stay up on the hill. Generally, the site is 2WD accessible. We aim to be super flexible, so please reach out with any requests; we just ask that you do the right thing regarding taking rubbish and toilet litter with you. Doggos are always welcome because doggos are the best.

Featuring an amazing rustic cabin, nine riverside campsites, along with paddock and bush sites, all 4WD accessible and two equally stunning 2WD accessible sites. You’ll share our spaces with kangaroos, wallabies, emus, echidnas, deer, platypus and more. Enjoy some optional extras, including Tammie's home made bread, farm fresh, free range eggs, or one of our range of grazing platters, home made jams or hot chocolate kits. Or pamper yourself with a Crystal reiki session, or tarot reading. The 2WD accessible sites feature spectacular views to the right, towards Mt Panorama and Mt Horrible and towards Mt Canobolas to the left. Lie back in your swag at night and let the star struck, velvety sky envelope you, or make a booking at the nearby Bathurst Observatory to see the stars up close. Each campsite offers its own unique features for you to enjoy and a hand crafted pit toilet is accessible to those camped along the river bank. Fish or swim in the river, ride your bikes, or set up camp and then head off on an adventure to the Goldfields at Ophir, or History Hill at Hill End via the Bridle Track. Better still, book into a pub crawl with Damo so you can lie back and enjoy the ride. There are plenty of opportunities for 4WDing and bushwalking in the local area. Fires are allowed (fire restrictions permitting). Wood can be collected from fallen wood around the property, or bring your own if you prefer. Pets are welcome for a one off fee per animal. We do ask that pets are supervised at all times and that they do not interfere with farm animals or local wildlife.

The property is awesome and the views are amazing. The camps spots are imaculate and big. You can either have it all to yourself or a couple of familys. There is a toilet and drinking water if required and free firewood is a huge bonus. My son and I only went for the night, but I am planning another trip with the whole family.

3 nights at Bundilla River Camp

We stopped at Bundilla on our way to Toowoon bay. Top place to relax and unwind listening to the river flowing and the birds chirping. We had powered site 1 and it was a huge site. There is no direct view of the river but a short walk takes you to the river bed. We enjoyed our 3 nights and on day 3 we visited Wauchope just 20 min way and also checked out the largest bloodwood tree in the southern hemisphere. The hosts Cheryl and Rick took great care of us.

Weekend Trip to Aloomba Lavender Farm

Third time we've camped here and once again didn't disappoint. Beautiful spot overlooking lavender and paddocks with visits from the cows. Plenty of space and even though we were one of three groups you felt as though you are on your own. Sky at night is amazing. Amenities are modern and spotless with nice hot water and good pressure. There is a farm shop open Thu - Mon with coffee available as well as their own lavender products. Tim stopped by for a chat and is a really friendly bloke. Only 20 mins from Stanthorpe with plenty to see and do in the region or just unwind and enjoy the views of the campsite.

I enjoyed peaceful camping at Abraham. The view wasn’t as good as other sites but I felt secluded and cozy. The toilet was a few minutes walking distance. There weren’t many things to do so if you like to have a relaxing time this is a good place to camp.

1 night at The Hatch Farm - Port Macquarie

This was undoubtedly a pleasant surprise to stumble across this amazing campsite. When our plans changed at the last minute, we booked this site as a one-night stopover on our way through the area. It is one of the most picturesque and well-set-up Hip Camps that I've come across; the allotments are huge and stunning. The kids absolutely loved it, and the sheer array of animals they have there for the kids to pet is incredible. Susan was super accommodating and personally took us around, letting the girls hold all kinds of animals. We only wish we could have stayed there longer and explored the area. We will definitely go back, and I highly recommend this place to anyone with kids looking to escape into nature.

We got there quite late 10pm, and James was there waiting for us to show a good place for us to park our van, he was really helpful. Really beautiful location. I saw some bad reviews and was skeptical however I felt the property was well looked after. The portaloo’s were clean. There was some areas with dumped things like prams, old tents etc. But it was really not noticeable and didn’t affect our campsite or stay at all. I would absolutely come here again and recommend it.
